As a big hockey fan I would like to see a better effort at a game than this. This game has the basic amount of modes and as far as EA games go this follows in the line of Madden and NCAA as 2007 still being very generic next gen games. This games most annoying feature is that everything is done mainly with the joy stick. You shoot with the joy stick and you hit with it as well. The shooting is a hassle as it really makes no difference if you use computer help or manual aim with it. You will either miss the net completely and have the puck go over the boards, hit the post, or it will go in the goal. And even if you score it will more than likely go in off the post. I am not sure if EA is aware that hitting the post is not frequent as they make it out to be. The online part of this game is also lacking online leagues which is in the 2008 game so I would get that one instead. The pros of the game are that it has great graphics and once you get used to the controls you can deal with them. However overall the game is very lackluster and is just not polished. This game gets three stars because it's hockey and I'm a fan and 2k7 was worse.

this game met my expectations and then passed them pretty quickly. excellent graphics, easy to use controls, love the dynasty mode. this game sets you right in ther rink with the puck. the only con that ive noticed is in the fight sequences. havent really figured out the controlls of it. but i guess with time i will learn. overall i am very pleased with this video game

Not the best hockey game I've ever played but its near the top of my list still. And its cheaper then buying the newest season which cost $60. Decent buy.

This is the best hockey game for anything yet. It looks good, it's only flaw is the control system. You have to use the right stick to deke AND shoot, and sometimes when you wish to do one, you do the other. I switched the control setting and it's a much more confortable feel, but I'm juist telling you now.

this game is amazing. the graphics r sooo real it actually feels like ur in the game. if u have never done the shootout it is soo cool cause it zooms up on the player and ur like right be hind him the skill stick lets u dangle the goalie. i no a way to score everytime. just go up to him use ur skill stick and take a loop the goalie will get out of pasition

this game is ok. great to play if you have nothing to do with your friends
