Hello, I have to say that I am very disappointed. From all the advertising on the EA website I was very excited to play this years version that won 7 video game awards. I turned the game on only to find out it does not have any of the features I was expecting. The website made me think as though there were going to be one handed dekes. I was okay with the fact that there were no dekes, I was still excited to play the Be A Pro mode. However as soon as I start playing that, I realize you cannot create a goalie, and there is no AHL! I created a defenseman and had him be on the Boston Bruins and in the first game of the year he replaces Zdeno Chara on the starting line!? Also, what was all the hype about the defensive skill stick? It is the same as last year. I suppose now I will go out and buy a Playstation 3 and see if that version of the game actually has the features advertised. After I wasted $30 on this one that is just updated rosters from last year. Save your money for a playstation 3!

the be a pro mode is really fun. some of the only bad things are that rookie mode changes the controls, big time. O is shoot and check, there is 3 buttons for speed burst. i haven't tried veteran mode. it is a very fun game though. the graphics are great for a ps2 game. i saw patrick kane on screen and it looked exactly like him. Great buy!

im yet to get nhl09 for the ps2 because it is on backorder:-(. the game has some awsome features such as tournaments where you can play online build up a team. u can also create a player and start him in a low level and build him up to the nhl. i already have nhl2k9for the wii and if nhl09 is supposed to be a lot better, i just cant wait.
