Loved this remake back when it originally came out. Still enjoyed it, but it hasn't aged particularly well. Still if you are a fan of zombie flicks it's worth a look.

Don't let the cheesey cover art throw you-this is one of the best Romero adaptations to ever be made. It is very faithfull and improves on the original Night of the Living Dead in every way with a suprise twist at the end. In the original Night of the Living Dead, Barbara is a timid and stereotypical female in a male dominated society. During the crisis we see the evolution of her character to the modern, feminist Barbara who takes command of the situation and comes to term with the survival horror of Night of the Living Dead. It's not suprising that this is a very faithfull and well-done adaptation: Tom Savini, the master of the zombie makeup and special effects from previous Romero works helms this project to ensure that it stands out. Made in 1991 and considered by me to be better than the original so much that it almost replaces the original in my opinion. For the price, it's definitely recommended for any zombie film collection or a fan of Romero's works prior to his more recent and less appreciated adaptations.

The movie was great. When I had to order it from amazon. When I ordered it from best buy they sent me some librarys order in flordia when I live in ohio. They were suppose to send me a thing in the mail to send it back. That never happened. Then they never gave me a refund. Luckly the movie is so good and I wanted it so bad that i didn't mind paying $20. So I have to go to a buy now dvd place and get my money out of the movie they sent me. I would never recommend ordering anything from best buy at all!!!! Go to amazon they have fast and easy shipping.

This is a remake of George Romeros classic horror film Night of the Living Dead. This one was directed by Tom Salvini who was the make-up and special effects person for the original movie. He has alsow worked with George Romero with his other Dead movies and other various projects. The gore is higher in this version and there is a twist on the orginal Barbera character from the orginal.

THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF THE BEST REMAKES THERE IS.THE ZOMBIES ARE COOL-THE SCARIENESS IS COOL.IT KEEPS YOU JUMPING HERE AND THERE.ALL IN ALL IT'S A GREAT MOVIE-DEFINATELY IN THE TOP 8 ZOMBIE FLICKS--I RECOMMEND IT TO HORROR FANS OUT THERE.I WATCH IT EVERY LITTLE WHILE-WHEN I GET MY ZOMBIE URGE.
