I am using Night Owl products since years, it's my 4th DVR with them, I wanted this one, because you have 5MP cameras, and the new app is really easy to use. I was able to just exchange my existing 1080 cameras, keeping my wire. Better views, clear, larger. I was at 10,000 km from home last month and I was able to see my home without issue. From your phone you can manage every camera separately, turn on the light on camera, change detection level, record snap photo, the best news is the possibility to zoom in your camera view. Like I wrote earlier, I am using Night Owl since a long time, never had an issue on one of the product. I installed in a family home one of my old DVR in Europe, work perfect in 220 Voltage and I can remote easy from Florida. Very easy to install and work with.
