When using cameras without the hub, i am sent notifications consistently. When using cameras with the hub I no longer get notifications. Tech support keeps telling me to do the same song and dance to the app, cameras, and hub. nothing fixes this issue.

The hub and cameras we purchased appear to work, but do not retain recordings past the previous midnight. Once the clock turns to midnight, all previous recordings are purged from the system. We have been troubleshooting the hub and cameras through Night Owl support for nearly 1 month. We have completely removed and reinstalled the app, the hub, and all cameras 3 times. At this point I have to conclude that the Night Owl system (or at least the hub and cameras that I have) are incapable of retaining camera recordings for dates prior to the previous midnight. A security system that cannot retain recordings is useless.

Here are a few quick things to check:
• Make sure the cameras are fully charged and powered on during setup.
• Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz (our wire-free cameras don’t support 5 GHz).
• Place the cameras close to the router during the initial pairing process.
• Restart your router and the cameras before trying to connect again.
• Use the Night Owl app (latest version) and follow the in-app setup prompts step by step.

Was an easy set up, Had to call customer service, and they walked me threw final steps. problem was with my password , nothing with the setup. Biggest problem I have is, I bought a brand new system and I received a used returned Item. And I payed full price for a used Item. made me alittle nervous as to why it was returned , But it did work fine. IF I wanted a used item I could of went to the NightOwl web site and got the same Item for 70% off.

I’ve honestly been pretty impressed with the cameras and their security system. The 2K video looks sharp and makes it easy to see small details. Very easy to install because it is wireless. I have mine outside and the quality is great. It comes with 64 GB storage but it’s easy to upgrade it, just install 2.5” hdd. I like the quality of the cameras and expandability of the system. Highly recommend you in for one, but now days I think every one should have one.
