The night owl system is more than I expected. When viewing the camera's it's so clear and the night vision reaches out further than I expected. The lights that come on when they detect either a person or vehicle is a plus

It didn’t have all the features that it offers I needed it for face recognition but it didn’t really have that and it had to be jailbreak to get most features

This is a great security system. Very simple to set up, although there is a lot of wiring involved. I ultimately like the system. Some people rated the mobile app low, but I didn't personally have an issue with it.

They work great! I have them installed in one of my businesses. It has a clear picture of the person or object. It alerts me of any motion or person moving in front of the cameras.

If you're wanting to use this to actually watch your cameras, forget it. App is unreliable, never sends notifications even though you can set them up and the program for your computer doesn't work. I'd find another brand to purchase. Support just sends you in circles.

Cameras are great. They work fine. Can’t get the mics and speakers to work and the company only supports the cameras for a short time so replacements are needed every now and then. Could be better.

This security system is definitely more user friendly than previous model. The one thing I do not like is you cannot change or personalize your settings directly at the DVR, you have to make any adjustments on your phone. Personally, I do not have unlimited data so this is a problem for me. Also, the format of the cameras when you view them remotely is a little crazy. You cannot view all eight channels at once and the images are several sizes. Finally, I had the misfortune of speaking with a nasty technical support representative by the name of Christopher. He wouldn't give me instructions, he kept telling me to read them and that I didn't know how to use my computer. I had to call about 7 or 8 times to all the information I needed because they all mostly wanted to end a call after 5 or so minutes. Hopefully the next generation DVR will be so user friendly with good instructions that I won't need to call technical support.

Color is way off. It says it finds a human when there is no movement at all anywhere. No sound. Did i get a bad system?? Night owl is sending me a new dvr to try. This is bad. See pic. And ive been on phone with tech support so no, Its not an adjustment.

Great cameras for the price they might not have sound but they record everything and the setup is easy

Cameras are lightweight which made mounting simple. Picture quality is very good. The only issue I had was setting up an account and switching from the app to manual usage at the base.
