4k provides quality recordings. Works for day or night. It has to be installed near a plug. I use this camera indoors. You can hear and talk through the camera. Light weight. Easy to install

I enjoy using Night-owl Security Cameras. I can record whatever I want and operate the cameras without any restraints. In other words, there are no subscriptions or any extra fees. Make sure you purchase the DVR channel system to get the full experience of which I am speaking of. Installing the cameras was easy for me since I consider myself a handywoman. Any issues just contact support and they will guide you.

This camera has great picture and we are loving the 2-way audio. The 100ft night vision is incredibly and not having to buy and replace batteries has been a huge perk as well. Highly recommended buying this one.

The Android app for stand-alone use (without DVR) has some features that could help with reviewing security videos. - However, the app often disconnects from the camera. I found that clearing the app cache sometimes helps for a while, but this is very inconvenient. - Also, the timeline feature seems to be buggy when trying to go to a previous day and often doesn't let me scroll back to older recordings. - The app seems to allow queuing multiple downloads, but then it disconnects from the camera after only one or two downloads. - I haven't found a way to delete only some recordings from the SDCard - I had to run another format on the SDCard which deletes all recordings from the card. - The microphone picks up a fair amount of wind noise/pop. Note that it does not include a MicroSD card which is needed to save recordings when in stand-alone mode. Note that since this uses the included AC Adapter, placement is limited to having a near-by AC outlet available. So far, my experience has shown the camera imaging to be better than the app.

I have both 2k and 4k versions of this camera and both are equally impressive i have the 2k inside my business entrance on the inside and the 4k on the outside. Both provide clear crisp feed with great color detail, both day and night. I can store footage on a sd card to keep safe. Plus zero fees unlike competitors. If your considering this product and werent sure about something, consider this youe sign add it to your cart. You wont be unsatisfied.

This is a good camera that requires to be plugged in for its power. The quality is very good and it was easy to setup. I am using it inside out house to keep an eye on the pets and can try to talk to them throughout the day. It does require a SD card in order to save the footage, but isnt necessary in order to use the camera.

Overall works well. You really need to turn off mobile data if you want to connect it to an existing dvr. The 12 channel 8 wired 4 wireless i have. I would recommend.

Overall, it was an okay product, I dont like how it's wired, so you need constant power for this device. It would make more sense to just go full POE, really limits where you can install it outdoors, more for indoor use, I suppose? Other than that, it's alright. I wouldn't buy another one just for that reason.

Works for what we were wanting, just a basic camera so we can monitor the house. It can use micro USD card and not have to pay a subscription

For a WiFi semi wireless camera, you can’t beat it especially for the price. I have bought several other security cameras blink and swansons and night owl is the best choice.
