    This camera has everything you need. There's an app to replay recordings or you can get an external SD card or hard drive for extra storage. Easy to set up and install. Only needed a screwdriver. Has night vision that works. The built-in alarm is loud and would definitely scare an intruder away. You can also listen and speak through the camera. You will not regret this purchase. Recharging batteries are supposed to last up to 3 months. No need to overspend when this does the job.

    Bought this for my campground. Set it up last night. Super easy to install and get running. Camera works awesome! I have this over my self-serve ice chests. I would highly recommend.

    I am very disappointed at this camera. I purchased it 12/24/24 as a present for my father because he likes security cameras. When i went to install it on Jan 20 fresh out of the box, the camera had a glitch while pairing and would not work. The camera would not pair after the glitch. We contacted customer support because the light remains solid red. We hit reset button and the camera would not blink. Remained red. We charged it as instructed by the support team and the camera would still not pair with the phone. I am very disappointed with the outcome. I didn't like that best buy only offered return thru 01/14/24. Not even a month after purchase so now I have to go thru manufacture warranty which they are hard to get a response from.

    Overall, the Night Owl 2K HD Wireless security camera has it's own app where it works, and it doesn't work. I returned the device after 12 days from not being able to record exactly what I wanted when I wanted it, without having to MANUALLY do so. I have never experienced such frustration with a device before after numerous attempts at correcting the issues I could for it to work properly. See below for more: The Good: The 2K pixel quality was decent, and a nice upgrade from 1080p. You could zoom-in on the features of things nearby. The app was easy enough to setup and use in comparison to other cameras I've used. The storage is local on a microSD card, which means you don't need a subscription service to pay for Cloud storage. You can also record directly to your phone while viewing the active camera. I had a 16gb card, and around 300 notifications/recordings from over a week's use on the device only used about 1.5gb. The audio wasn't terrible, and had a 2-way communication. The alert sounds had 3 options to choose from, a voice saying "SMILE! You're being recorded", another voice, and then a Siren that alerts 3 times, waits a second then repeats up to 3 times in that order. This can stay constant while activity is happening in the zone. It will shut off after about 10 seconds of no activity. The Bad: It doesn't record immediately sometimes. It'll have a 4 second delay from actually recording the activity it needs to. It also didn't pick up surrounding areas sometimes where it should have. The audio will also cut-out and not be present for part of the video, though this may be due to the siren being active and trying not to record itself. The battery life for the included 2 Lithium batterys was about 8 days. A far cry from the 3 months it said it'd last, but I did have the spotlight and alarm active with the recordings. Without them active, the battery life showed over 95% for a few days. I did have constant triggers from neighbors nearby which wasn't very nice, more on that in the ugly part. Surprisingly, it also blurred the license plates of vehicles. Even mine while parked in the driveway, which isn't ideal if I'm trying to capture criminals doing things in my neighborhood. The Ugly: The camera had a constant and full connection speed of 1mbps+ and it still would activate incorrectly. The Active Zone setup was not explanatory, and any options it had online were just how to install the camera and not actually use it properly. Was the blue to be the active area, the unmarked areas the active area? Testing either way netted poor results and never recorded correctly in any of the areas. At first we had the full image available, and it grabbed everything it could for movement even while Motion was deactivated (which also never stayed active while setting it to be). Vehicle notifications were present with just my car in the driveway when ANY motion happened, which made us need to turn of Vehicle notifications (not ideal). Then the neighbor complained about the alerts constantly going off with the siren (set to medium), where I mentioned it only triggers when people are in my yard. So, the active area is busted in some way even after adjustments and sensitivity is set correctly.

    Is a very simple and easy to setup wireless camera, i love the fact i dont need to charger for 3 months, that is amazing, very simple use, video quality for a 2K camera is amazing

    This camera was easy to setup and seems to be durable as well. It is battery powered and comes with 2 rechargeable 18650 batteries and can fit a total of 4. Video is stored on a mini SD card, not included. Overall this is a great camera!

    From the very loud security alarm to the full color night vision, this camera has met every expectation and more. Very easy to set up and user friendly application. I love that there are no hidden costs or service fees that come with similar products. Night owl has impressed me and convinced me. More to come ...

    I would say im satisfied with this purchase, removeable battery that's rechargeable, okay quality, not the best out there. For the price, I would say it's okay! Super easy install quick set up the App is a bit slow and glitches, but you can view footage, you do need a SD card to save footage or a hard-drive/cloud.

    We are very pleased with this camera and the ease of use. We live on a farm and the camera has done great at picking up on the activity outdoors with critters and keeping our chickens safe! The outdoor housing on the camera is very robust as well.

    Bought this as an addition to our Model: FTD4-81-4L system we purchased not long ago. It's mounted outside, about 80 feet from our router and FTD4 system, it'll connect 2 out of 10 times. The last couple nights, deer have walked right past the camera, sending me a notice that the camera triggered...No video. Look at the wired camera that shows the same area at a distance...Three deer walked past the camera, triggered the camera, but recorded no video. This is our forth security camera system over the last 20 years, its set up correctly, camera is well within the wifi range of 300 feet, yet still wont trigger most of the time.

    After one week stopped working, poor battery worked for couple days and you have to charger it again. Not recommend it,

    This was with no subscription but it keeps turning off. Cant rely on it.. when it works its ok. But not recommended to anyone.
