They are not . Looking @ Swan's website these cameras only work on about a half a dozen systems , that are Swan . I own 2 security systems , one being a Swan . The camera's label states it is an NTSC & it has BNC connectors .Looking @ Swan's website the camera is a 2560 x 1944 . The signal is AHD x 2.5 quality of 1080 p . Just disappointed they don't work . I think Bestbuy's description is misleading .

Posted .Good Afternoon. We have contacted Best Buy to have this updated. Night Owl does not guarantee compatibility with 3rd party brands, nor have we ever done so. Our products are ONVIF compliant, but there is no way to ensure compatibility with other brand's equipment. We can only ensure the product will work with compatible Night Owl product and accessories. Sorry for any misunderstanding. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.
Mistaken recommendation by BB employee

Highly satisfied with product. Asked for recommendation with compatible cameras, took their recommendation and had 3rd party vendor wire and install cameras. Would not work.. not compatible. BB would not pay for their mistake, had BB tech out to make a recommendation... BB out of this product ..... Frustrated

We strongly recommend locally testing the cameras, as noted in our Quick Setup Guide, before installing them in their final mounting location. We recommend that for exactly this reason. Testing them locally at the DVR level allows you to ensure they function before mounting them. Again, we apologize for the experience you have had.
