A touching, dramatic, exciting, romantic, interesting film. It's easy to love Power as the man who aims too high, goes too far, pushes too much to get what he thinks he deserves. The dialogue has plenty of punch, and the cinematography, especially in the tawdry tent world of film noir is expert. One of the the top five noirs of all-time.
