I've been with this band for a long time and I thought that without Jimmy, this was going to be a disappointment. I am happy to admit that I was WRONG. This album is great. I love the music, the lyrics, and the overall feel of it. You guys have done it again. You never fail to impress.

I just picked my copy up from my local best buy and I have not stopped listening! It is simply amazing! All A7X albums are great, but this one raised the bar! I would definitely recommend this album to all A7X fans and any fans of metal! RIP foREVer.

As expected I am blown away by A7X's drumming and guitar abilities. There is nothing better. This is a must buy for all. Very impressive and I am so very proud of A7X for working to put this album out for Jimmy. Just awesome!

this is the only album i own by this band i cant wait to check out the rest of their albums and mike portnoy of dream theater is featured on this album im glad he accepted the invention to record drum tracks for this album

I have loved Avenged for many years now and some say the softer music sucks but i honestly not only as an avenged fan but as a person who loves music, thinks this cd is amazing, it has kept me going in afghanistan and i would definately recommend this to anyone who is a fan of good music.

This CD is awesome. Nightmare is amazing and God Hates Us is awesome too. I've liked A7X since they released CIty Of Evil but i got kinda bored with them and this CD made me go out and buy Waking The Fallen (which is also a great album). If you are just getting into A7X this one or City Of Evil would b the album to purchase

Great album, esp. considering they lost their drummer after only one song they recorded with him for this album. Listen to more than just the hit "Nightmare", almost every song front to back rocks if you are an A7X fan.

A must buy for any metal fan! Great lyrics, vocals, guitars, drums, etc.

This is a great album and it is full of emotion, after the death of The REV. its as good as it could be for the moment and some of the best songs A7X has ever done are on it, like Nightmare, Welcome to the Family, Natural Born Killer, Danger Line, So Far Away, and Save Me.

I should state for the record that I am a big Avenged Sevenfold fan, but these reviews give this album way too much credit. It it certainly not their best album and in no way one of the greatest of all time as one review stated. In my opinion, the undeserved high praise in these reviews comes from dedicated fans that would buy and give great reviews to anything Avenged Sevenfold released. Honestly, I feel this album is teetering between fair and average. The album is certainly weak and not what I've come to expect from Avenged Sevenfold. I understand wanting to write longer and more creative songs like 'Save Me' but the second half of the album is slow and outside of the scope of the band. Certain bands can pull off slower rock songs and outside of 'Seize the Day' Avenged Sevenfold hasn't proven it can. At the last Avenged Sevenfold concert I attended, I don't remember anybody requesting to hear 'Gunslinger' or 'Dear God'. Why? Because they are a rock band and people want to hear the rock. I would still recommend, barely. Now I'm going to listen to the newest Bullet for my Valentine to get my fix of metal.

This the first Avenged Sevenfold album that I bought and it is awesome! Rest In Peace Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, you will be forever remembered.

Me and my daughter love this cd. We listen to it every day on the way to drop her off at school. Avenge Sevenfold is always a good choice.

I have 5 CD's from Sevenfold and this is by far the best I have heard, you can't go wrong with this one
