One of the best vehicles for the three greatest scream queens of the '80's (Michelle Bauer, Linnea Quigley and Brinke Stevens), this film showcases each girl's acting ability (playing some hilarious nerds) as well as their unclothed features (after they get possessed by demons). Featuring the longest bathtub scene in movie history! Vinegar Syndrome has restored this film to a glory unheard of...they also pulled out the 'clothed' version that played on the USA Network eons ago. There's more extras on the Blu-Ray as well but I'll leave you to suss them out on your own. If you dig '80's nonsense with piles of gratuitous nudity THIS is for you!

I like the Nightmare Sisters, however before it was only on DVD with kind of barebones features. This release changes, that. There's a lot of features, and it's also a fun film.

Right off the bat, you should be warned this is a zero budget movie. Don't buy it expecting it to be a masterpiece in the same proportions as David DeCoteau's previous film Sorority Babes in the Slime Ball Bowl-O-Rama. It does have a few of the same familiar actresses, Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer in their prime.
Nightmare Sisters does a relatively well job of keeping itself entertaining despite it's minimal special effects. The introduction to the movie with a psychic helps set the mood for the viewer and it is actually very funny. Most of the movie takes place inside the same house, with a few bits taking place in a dorm room and a garage-like storage area. The 3 lead actresses spend half the time attempting to seduce the male actors. The ending of the movie does fall a bit flat, but as a whole the movie is enjoyable.
Recommended for fans of low budget 80s horror comedies looking for an enjoyable way to spend an hour and a half. If you go in with no expectations you will probably be delighted. Vinegar Syndrome have done an excellent job with this release of Nightmare Sisters.
