Having reviewed various zoom lenses that are DX compatible under the Nikon brand, this lens has the most balance feature set that can appeal easily to professional photographers looking for an all in one lens in fast situations. The proof was in the pictures. It excelled in wildlife photography, above average in low light conditions indoors and was awesome with a Nikon SB500 flash setup. I found it at almost 50% off at a BestBuy Store.

Great lens and works beautifully on my D7100. I own a wide angle (11-16mm) and street lens (35mm prime) - to which this is a perfect compliment. I have even been just carrying this alone recently. Big but not too big. Sharp and fast - very competitive in pricing to other brands' equal. I would highly recommend.

Looked online for a lens that was versatile compared to the 35mm lens even better was that they only had one in CO store in stock the day I needed it for a wedding shoot. The customer service rep even told me she just got same lens as early Christmas Present from her husband for their family reunion and she highly recommended it. I was very happy with the way it works since I got it. Love the ease of use and adaptability to my needs.
