First time DSLR user, no previous knowledge of them and I'm in love in under a day! I did massive research before purchasing this camera and everything I read gave it rave reviews so I thought I'd give it a try! Well worth the $$! Pictures are crisp and clear and there are so many features I have yet to learn!

I love this camera! It's great for those people who are newer to photography or want to up their game a bit without having to buy the uber expensive camera. More functional than a regular point and shoot, and has the added features that can add a professional look to your shots. I can't tell enough people how great this camera is.

My very first DSLR camera and in my favorite color red, all is going good! :-) The camera is easy to use, so for amateur and/or first time dslr buyer/user, this will not disappoint. Even without reading the manual or viewing the accompanying CD-info, you will be fine.

    My second Nikon

My old D50 served me really well, so getting another Nikon was sort of a no-brainer for me. Not being a real camera nut I wanted to replace the D50 with a more modern 'entry level' DSLR, and this just ticked all the boxes, especially having video which the D50 did not. Sure you'll find some purist somewhere who will tell you that you need to buy something else & if you're a real serious photographer, spend more $ to get slightly better looking pictures in your albums - but for me, this was at just the right price level, and the quality of everything I've done with it so far looks fine to me. I would recommend getting the speed light flash to go with it - I always thought the internal flash on the D50 wasn't that great, and it looks pretty much the same on the D3200

I just started using this today so haven't done much, but what I have has produced pictures with outstanding quality. I can't wait to learn more about it for even better results. I have used the fixed focal 1.8 lens so far.

I bought this camera before my vacation to FL. It took amazing shots of the scenery and my family. This is my first DSLR purchase so at first, I handled the camera like a newborn! By the end of our vacation, I was changing lenses, changing settings, and snapping shots as if I'd had it for years! Battery life is great! I feel that this camera is a great investment and will be with me for a very long time!

I upgraded from a Nikon N-55 to this camera and I love it. It's similar to my old camera, which makes it easy to use. The battery seems to last a good long time, which is great. I've had a little trouble overriding some of the automation, but I'm still getting used to it, too. I've gotten some great shots with it already and am looking forward to taking a great many more with it! I love this camera!

I am totally pleased with this camera. A little smaller than some other DSLR's that I use, but perfect fit for my wife who I bought it for Mother'sDay. Light, nice red body and easy to locate settings for my wife who is a budding photographer. The kit lens, which some say are not usually up to snuff, worked very well and gave me excellent definition for 8x10 prints.

Bought this camera because we were tired of not being able to capture the perfect shots quickly. What an upgrade from the point and shoot pocket cameras. This camera has tons of features and settings and I cant wait to try and master them all. It is a perfect camera to get used to before buying anything more expensive.

Definitely a great camera for an entry level photographer but I feel that it is a camera ill be able to grow with and learn a lot with. Am still learning my way around all the functions but that's just the fun of learning a new device :) also couldn't be happier with service and advice I received from best buy and their associates.

This is a great camera at a great price, and seems to be custom made for us beginners at DSLR photography! It has a fantastic guide in the software to take care of your settings ....gives great pics with the amount of mega-pixels that it packs in...More than enough to keep the amateur in us happy!

I LOVE my bright red Nikon D3200! I took it for a test run at the Minnesota Zoo, and it delivered better than I anticipated! With rapid shutter speed, I was able to capture animals in motion and take multiple shots seconds apart with ease! I am still learning to use all of the settings - the video and field guides are GREAT resources and easy to use! I'm still experimenting with various lens, including widescreen, 2x, 200mm, etc. The challenge is having to change lens - so I'm still carrying my Nikon D40 as well to cut down on "field changes." I also bought the Nikon D3100, so I'm set for widescreen, close-up, distance....and my awesome backpack carries all my gear!

I think this camera is awesome. As a newbie at taking good quality pictures, I'm looking forward to making discoveries and taking beautiful pictures with this camera. I'll be traveling to Italy this summer for three weeks to study abroad which was my primary reason for getting the camera, and I'm so excited to make lasting memories with it. It has a beautiful color and wonderful potential for great pictures. The only thing I wish was that the kit came with a camera bag to store the camera in and a better quality lens (though nothing is wrong with this one!). Other than those small details, I am in love with this camera! I highly recommend it for anyone interested in doing photography professionally or recreationally!

I have been shooting Nikon for over thirty years. This camera, with its compact size and full system versatility, is an excellent model. My wife sets it in Auto-mode and fires away with fantastic results. I have added to my Nikon 'arsenal' and found it compatible with most of my Nikon systems accessories, including lenses and strobes. Point and shoot ease with full creative control. I immediately went out and added the 80-200 zoom lens.
