Bought this camera for my 12 yr old granddaughter for Christmas. She used the same model when she went to visit her aunt out of state a few months before. She handled it very well and I decided to get her her own. She always loved to take pictures with her phone and make videos. Now she certainly moved up in the world of photography. She had set up the tripod (does not come with the camera) and was taking amazing pictures of the family on Christmas Day! It didn't take her long to learn the basics. We live near Disney and she takes the camera with her every time she goes with her mom. The pictures that she takes are incredible. She is constantly experimenting and learning more and more. A great investment.

I'm a great fan of Nikon and only got a new camera because Nikon is no longer making parts for it. Loving my new camera. Lightweight, all buttons easy to access, easy setup, excellent photos!

bought this camera as a replacement for and old Nikon. The camera feels nice in the hand and takes amazing photos at this price point. The screen on the camera is large and touch screen. The app to download pictures straight to your phone works well.

This camera is my first real camera. I am amazed by the clarity and versatility. I have had it for about a month and taken so many photos. I did buy the AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 40mm f/2.8G. So with the lens that are included and a macro lens, I am content with a wide range of perspectives. I would strongly recommend this camera for anyone.

This is my first DSLR camera and I'm glad I chose the from a new phone. I used to take so much photos with my phones and the image quality from a camera and a phone are incomparable. I did my own review before I bought this camera and a lot of review suggested this is gonna be a great camera and it did. I will attach some scene picture that I took with this camera.

The camera is easy to use for a beginner like myself and takes great pictures. I've gotten many compliments on the quality of my photos and videos. I'm still learning how to use it, but there is ample instructions and seems pretty easy to figure out. I give the camera an A+ so far.

I grew up using Nikon cameras so when I headed to Best Buy to buy my own DSLR for the first time, I immediately headed for the Nikons. This was such a great deal! You get the camera body and two lenses! The operating system itself is super user friendly, and there are tons of resources (Nikon, instruction manual, YouTube) that can help you set up the camera to your specific wants and needs. I really love the remote photography feature. You have to download a free app and sync your camera to it (takes like barely 5 minutes) but you can then set up your camera and use your phone to take the pictures! It's such a great feature, I use it all the time. Great camera for beginners!!!

Reasonably priced and great quality..takes awesome pictures

I have had quite a few nice cameras in the past, so I think I am qualified to make comparisons. I have sixteen active grandchildren so I need a camera that not only takes good pictures of stills but also of movement. I am very pleased with the performance of this camera and lens, with the exception that the 70-300 lens does not include VR. The pictures are sharp. When I am not using the manual setting this camera offers a multitude of other settings for different situations such as changing weather, kids sports, energetic kids, close-ups such as bees on flowers, and many more examples. At baseball games I can "remove" the fencing and take good pictures of my grandkids through the fence by setting this camera to zero in on one exact point of interest. I would give 5 stars if the zoom lens included VR.

Great camera with a lot of videos online. Easy to use and the touch screen is worth the extra money. Upgrade to a real non kit lense and this camera will pop with much nicer photos

My D80 broke, so I replaced it with this camera at the last minute. Pictures turned out just as nice as my D80.

I used to be the photo editor and photographer way back in HS and College. Gotten away from film photography and looking for a value camera. This camera is probably overkill, but I'm really happy with it. The kit lenses are good. I did purchase the 50mm 1.8 additional lens. Takes a bit to adapt to the new body as there no longer are fstop rings, just dials and menus. I love the touch screen and the ability to see pics on my phone via Bluetooth shortly after they've been taken.

I had my camera stolen before buying this one, definitely felt better in my hands and was an upgrade !

I splurged and decided to get a camera I could grow with, based on other reviews. I love the camera and am seeing great progress just within the past month! I really love how adjustable all the settings are and how easy and comfortable it is to use.

The Nikon D5600 is a excellent entry level professional camera. With the two lenses the price was very reasonable. So far the test pictures I have taken are excellent. I have been an advanced photographer since the early 1970's. I would recommend Nikon to anyone and recommend Best Buy as the go to place to purchase
