Works perfectly with my D7100 and D40X. Quick response, lightweight, and very efficient on battery life. Bottom line: does what it's advertised to do, and very well. Must have for avid photographers, especially for nighttime/low-light conditions. Makes all the difference.

This remote is simple and easy to use once you set up your camera to use it. It has a range of about ten feet. It was very handy one night as I was shooting some night photos. It was cold and I kept it and my hands in my pockets.

I was told a long time ago that the 3rd party remotes and the Nikon MLL3 were if the same quality. I used a off name brand remote for a long time. I accidentally left mine at home on a trip and stopped at Best Buy where I was to buy a new one for my night photography trip. I noticed a humongous difference in response time and distance! I can use the Nikon remote twice the distance of the previous remotes I've used. Which sometimes can make or break a photo shot. I'll never go back to a off brand remote again. This remote is so much better than anything I've used! Not to mention the batteries last longer in the Nikon remote than the off brands I've used in the past.

I used to capture fireworks with this and it worked pretty great

Got this wireless remote to take pictures of my family (and myself) with my dslr camera. It works great, but does require you to point the remote directly at the camera, not just in its general direction (like most TV remotes). I found it works best to set the camera to delay the remote picture by a second so the remote isn't in the actual picture.

Good remote control. Very handy. Not good for long distance
