If you shoot apsc and are looking for a nice zoom lens, look no further this bad boy is small and light autofocus is nice and fast, I love it couldn't be happier, intended to use it for sports but started using it for wildlife and its so impressive and the crop factor is great. Cant go wrong for the price, I just wish nikon would make a longer zoom lens on apsc.

High quality telescope lens for this price. The lens is good enough to take pictures of birds and small animals! Light weight as well.

I’m impressed with the sharpness of this lens. Lightweight and a must have for Nikon Z dx shooters.

This is an upgrade from my first lens. I was using a standard lens. Now this lens lets me zoom where i need to inorder to achieve the best looking photograph. I DO NOT REGRET this purchase.

I love this telephoto. There is a fireworks show on July 4th that is a 15 minute drive from my house. The photos I shot from my driveway with this lens and my Nikon z fc, make it seem like I was at the event

This lens does a lot of the heavy lifting for you, especially with the stabilizing feature. You get steady, clear shots when you need them.

This lens is absolutely great for my new Nikon z50 camera.

I have a Nikon Zfc and picked up this lens so I had more zoom than the kit lens that came with the camera. I wasn't looking to spend more than $300, just so I could get started. I plan to buy better lenses down the line, including a prime lens, but this one is a placeholder until I save up. Nikon's kit lenses aren't bad and often receive high marks, especially for kit lenses. This one is no different. The build quality does leave a little to be desired. The lens construction is all plastic. That makes it light weight while also feeling cheap. The lens rattles when it's fully closed and doesn't inspire faith that it will hold up. I have no doubt that it will last. I had a similar lens with an older Nikon DSLR that lasted for years without issues. Just don't expect this to compete with a $400+ lens. Nikon's glass is high quality, as usual, and the lens doesn't add too much weight or length to my camera. It doesn't have the older styling that matches the Zfc, but it still looks fine. The zoom range is great and autofocusing is fine. It's slower in lowlight conditions due to the higher aperture range. It does go up to 6.3 quickly, somewhere around 175-200mm. Again, it's not bad for the price and is a good starter zoom lens for people not wanting to spend $400+. The effective range is 75-375mm on Nikon's APS-C mirrorless cameras, which are only the Z50 and Zfc (a rumored Z30 is just around the corner). I've taken good photos and the VR helps with handheld lowlight/night shots. Not quite as good as having IBIS in the camera, still better than nothing. I recommend this lens for anyone starting out or for people traveling who only want to bring 2 total lenses.

Compact size was the driving factor and it creates a much easier to use and carry lens. Picture quality seems fine.

Before I went mirrorless, my favorite lens was Nikon’s dx 55-300mm f-mount lens. Getting this new NIKKOR Z DX 50-250mm lens is quite the replacement. The little things that irked me with my f-mount set up are fixed with this new lens. Focus breathing is no longer an issue, the focusing is quiet and I feel like focus hunting is to a minimal. Oh, and did I mention that the images from this camera come out super sharp! I’m loving this new lens and it does wonders when natively paired with a DX Z camera. The minimum focus distance comes quite in handy as well, I feel like I can use this lens in many situations. If you are an enthusiast or a hobbyist, I don’t think you can go wrong with this lens. Do note the lens mount is plastic, many would probably prefer metal, to me it’s not that big of an issue. If I had to pick, I would lean that I wish Nikon went with a metal mount for this lens. Other than that, I’m loving this!

For the price its a good starter kit lens. I can't afford 2k for the lens I want. This lens does take a good picture on my z6. Its super light weight which was a big selling point for me. I mainly shoot wildlife and landscapes. Hiking with this lens doesn't add a lot of weight to my pack.

A great price for the quality of the lens. I use shooting outdoor photography.

For the price, it works so well and captures images very well. Definitely worth the buy especially for entry level photographers.

Wonderful pictures not heavy great quality will buy another lens later

Great 250mm lens, totally worth the price, the camera is very easy to use.

Great lens for the price. Really light. Autofocus is very fast.

This is Lens that gives the possibility of shooting different scenes without having to change lenses. Perfect for vacations and carrying around. Very happy with Nikon.

Great image quality. Well-built. Use this on a Nikon Z5 full frame so it’s like having a 75 mm to 375 mm zoom.

Great kit lens with great range. Great for beginners and is a must have to determine what kind of prime lens you'll eventually want after playing with the range a bit.

Amazing lens and easy to attach to my camera with farther range and great quality photos.
