I read an article about vision adjustments as we age. It said we (I’m 68) need to use binoculars with a ratio of 5, if possible.
5? Yes.
Take the magnification #, in this case 8, and divid it into the field of view, in this case 42. 42 divided by 8 = 5.25.
These binoculars would be good for an older person.
I bought these binoculars for my wife as a present before a trip and she loved them. Everything was crisp and clear. The images combined correctly as she moved the halves in and out. The coatings on the lens worked.
The binoculars are light weight and not overly large. They feel good in her hands.
I recommend these to everyone.

My Son in law had been searching for binoculars, and I purchased these for his birthday, he loves them!! Second pair I have gifted, both recipients had nothing but good things to say.

Nice clear bright optics. What else would you expect from Nikon? The focus ring is fast and easily adjustable. The eye relief cups give these binoculars a true "one size fits all" product. My only complaint and the reason for 4 stars is that the lens caps are terrible and fall off easily.

I had an old Sears pair of binoculars from the 70s and needed an upgrade. Everyone has this model on sale currently, had a best buy card with $60 left so decided for a lil splurge. Maybe not comparable to $500-$1000 binoculars but as photographer I just needed an extra something to spot birds with rather than always getting the Sony 200-600 out of the bag. Binoculars make it convenient to see if it's a bird I want to photograph.
