This is everything I was looking for in a entry level mirrorless camera. This camera is lightweight compared to my D750 and menu is easy to navigate. The picture science from Nikon is awesome.

Great choice in terms of picture quality, lightness, and ideal size for my palm. Highly recommend for those who are looking for small full frame mirrorless camera. I like the technology that was put in to this camera. Functional for my need as far pictures that I want.

First time trying Full Frame Mirrorless. So far so good. The image quality is great and the size is neither big nor small, so the handling is pretty good too.

Got this as a Father's Day gift for husband just before a family wedding. Enjoyed taking lots of pictures and videos throughout our time in CA. Quality was excellent in low light as well as in day light which was very impressive. Very grateful that we ordered the camera on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday just before we left on Friday. Recommended it to everyone we met at the wedding.

Pros- Outstanding color rendition. Great in camera jpg, even better raw. 2 full sized SD slots! Can accept ENEL15 batteries that have been around for about 10 years. When the AF works properly, this camera produces excellent images (see cons).
Cons- Nikon, despite having issued numerous firmware updates, still cannot get the auto focus working properly. Not even when you are using the camera outside with plenty of light. If you are taking a full length picture of a person in the shade on a sunny day the camera most of the time just won't find the person you are taking a photo of. This is in the auto af mode, with face and eye detection turned on. I exclusively take pictures of people (most are full length) and have only seen the eye detection work once (after 1000's of pictures).
I compose the shot, the AF box appears on the face of the subject (is red), the AF box goes green, I take the photo, and when I get back to look at the image in PS I get -3 times out of 10- a back focused image. What good is having a camera with a AF system that is only good 70% of the time? Switching to single point focusing does improve the AF, but not having the face and eye detection can be a major inconvenience.
Also bad (compared to DSLR cameras anyway) is the battery life on mirrorless. For events and weddings, you should have as many backup batteries as you are willing to carry with you - I would recommend at least 4 if shooting all day. This thing (and mirrorless in general) just eat batteries.
I can't recommend this camera until Nikon can fix the autofocus. If they release another AF improvement firmware update I will test it and update this review as necessary.

The camera is amazing, I love how the quality is crisp. The newer technologies are shown.
I use this for photography primarily as I don’t touch videography. This works perfect for what I need it to do. After upgrading from my D3500- I went to D-7200 and now I upgraded recently to the Z-5 I think by upgrading throughout the years I earned the luxury of having this great camera

Nikon make great mirrorless cameras It takes great pictures and is much lighter the my Z9. Needed something just a little smaller for certain occasions and easy to use

Nikon captured my attention with the Coolpix P900, but needed a camera with a better sensor for indoor photos without a flash. This paired with the 50mm 1.8 is great. Next is 85mm 1.2 lens

Very much consider myself an amateur but am loving the new Z lens system, and this camera with so many capabilities. I have yet to explore all the features, but love the 2 SD card slots, ability to use my phone as a remote (though the app can be glitchy), and ability to do a decent amount of in-camera editing. So excited to keep learning to use this beauty!

Still learning this Camera I bought it as a beginner Camera since I this is my favorite Hobby. So far it takes wonderful shots . I would love to get the zoom lens next. But for a moderately priced camera I am happy.
