I have Klipsch AW-650's mounted on the house near the back deck and they sound great. I wanted speakers in the yard so you could hear music out there too without having to blast the deck speakers. After reading many reviews I decided on the RS6 Pro Rock Speakers from Niles. I have a Denon 4311ci powering both the Klipsch speakers (via zone 2) and the Niles RS6 Pro rock speakers (via zone 3). Each pair is hooked up to its own volume knob for independent level control. The Denon easily powers them to "party" levels although I was also impressed when breaking them in/testing them in the basement using a mid-range Onkyo receiver and also with an Emotiva Flex Fusion amp. I am very pleased with how these speakers sound although I'd give the slight edge to the Klipsch's if I had to pick between the two. The speakers are very well built and well-packed for shipping. They seemed to improve after a slight break-in period as well. The 2-way design of the rock speakers features a tweeter that is angled up so they sound great even while sitting on the ground and they also provide a wide coverage area. Overall, very pleased and I'd get 2 more if I had a bigger yard!

I bought a pair of these for backyard patio/pool area. Paired them as well as another pair of house-mounted speakers on back deck to a Yamaha amp that was in turn paired to Sonos:Connect, so I could use with my existing Sonos system (Sonos does not make outdoor speakers). Sound is great, with good base-treble range, despite long speaker wire runs (150') and they blend in so well that several guests didn't realize where my speakers were until I pointed them out.

Bought these for my patio. Heavy construction. These speakers sound great.

The Niles outdoor speaker work fantastically. They have a great sound and the grey granite exterior blends in great with the outdoors surroundings.

We installed 3 of these speakers in a wide outdoor landscaping area. We strategically placed each speaker. They have a wide coverage pattern and sound great. You can pump them up loud or keep them down low.

These are awesome outdoor speakers. They are made extremely well and worth every penny.

I love these speakers...have them sitting in the landscaping around my patio...they blend in well with the landscaping and sound fantastic. A little pricey, but you can't beat the warranty and given the quality of sound I'm still giving them 5 stars.

Niles products are great and this is no exception. Great sound for this size speaker. Very full.

Incredible speakers. The rock blends in nicely with my landscaping. Guests frequently inquire where does that great sound originate from. Niles makes quality speakers and it's worth the wait ordering on line instead of buying a less expensive speaker from a Best Buy store's existing inventory. You will not be disappointed.

Rock speakers look good and are very powerful for their size

Tried several brands including the Russound and there was simply no comparison, despite the smaller size.

Purchased these rock speakers for my patio. They blend in with the landscape and have amazing sound quality. Similar to Definitive Technology. They are heavy enough to stay put. They are not blowing over in the windy area in which I live. I don't have to worry about mounting brackets on the house for other style of outdoor speaker.

The outdoor speaker works great! Would definitely recommend.

Bought these speakers for our pool approximately 2 years. Had them professionally installed for a “ SONOS SYSTEM “. Used both for about 12 times. They “ GRUMBLE” and worked off and on. They are not water or weather proof. I will not recommend these speakers. I also got the Geek Squad Warranty for them in the end I toss them out and bought KLIPSCH ALL WEATHER 8”. Much better sound...and got them from a really great store in NEW YORK CITY. Had to make the extra effort to the NYC but in the end was worth it.

I purchased these speakers to go by the pool and to replace a pair of wall mounted Niles outdoor speakers (when we had a deck instead of patio and pool). Previous Niles speakers lasted 15 years! Hoping to get the same out of these rock speakers. After much research, these seemed to be the one of the most natural looking rock speakers and fit very well into our landscaping. They sound great and were extremely easy to install...they just sit on the ground.
