The Niles OS6.3 outdoor speakers are a good buy for listeners who enjoy music. Most reasonably priced outdoor speakers are lacking in the audio department, as most of their technology is used on weatherproofing. But at $409.99, these might not be considered resonably priced. I happily purchased them when they were on sale. Surprisingly, the Niles speakers offer the best of both worlds - good weatherproofing and sound. The highs are bright without being harsh and there's even some bass from the woofers if placed properly in the corner under an eave. They are available in white, if you plan on painting them to match your exterior, or black and have gold 5-way binding posts which accept bare wire or banana plugs. I've had these speakers for about a month now, and my only criticism is that they require a lot of power to drive them. With 90dB sensitivity, they are fairly efficient, but don't think that your smartphone connected to a 25W wireless system will be enough to drive them. A full-fledged stereo amplifier with 50W minimum per channel is recommended. But I'm sure most people considering the Niles OS6.3 outdoor speakers will also have, or be willing to buy, other audio equipment necessary to allow these speakers to shine. Bottom line: I gave these speakers 5 stars because they really are nice, despite $400+ price. If you can provide the power to them, they are really good outdoor speakers that will hopefully last a long time.
