This movie does nothing to show the true spirit of Nina Simone. Using makeup to "lighten" an actor or "dark face" to make a statement simply is insulting and does absolutely nothing to share the true story of the Great Nina Simone. The Netflix production certainly comes much closer to the "real" Nina, this movie really degrades her and the role she played in the great civil rights movement in this country.
