A great speaker for the price

Overall this little speaker is a phenomenal unit. The sound quality is definitely a huge step above that of the Echo Dot. I'd honestly put it on more par with the quality of the Echo Tap and the volume of the standard Echo. The speaker does lose some quality and favors treble at higher volumes, but that should be expected for a unit in this price point. The battery life on it is rated for 6 hours, but realistically you should expect about 3 if playing music. That said, the fact that it makes the dot portable is a great thing for certain situations.
The only downside to this unit is the same as one of the bigger downsides to the Echo Dot itself. The speaker gets so loud that Alexa cannot hear you over itself. That can be a little annoying, but I didn't expect this to fix that problem anyway. Overall, 9/10 would recommend.

I bought this speaker based on some reviews. Now I haven’t had it long enough to tell about the battery life but will update later. I bought it so I could hear my dot and it made that happen easily. It does lack bass. Sound is good even though it lacks that part and vocals are clear to hear Alexa talk which is the reason I bought the speaker. Hope this helps.

I bought this at the end of December and I was completely happy with it. Then today, it died. It wont charge. It runs completely from the battery and wont work even as it is plugged in. I've tried different cables and chargers to no avail. I'm disappointed because i really liked this speaker, now it's just a booster chair for my Dot.

While mine was working, it was great. I liked it so much, I bought a second one. Then the first one bricked. So they sent me a new one. That worked fine for a while, then it bricked. So I contacted Ninety7 again. Months have gone by with no response. One of the originals is still working fine. So, I'd say your chances are one in 3 that you'll get a good one. Based on the price, it's probably a quality control issue. Do you want to roll the dice?
