Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Coffee 12-Cup Coffee Brewer's coffee quality and ease of use. Many appreciate the removable water reservoir and overall design. However, some find the coffee maker a bit overpriced, and a few have noted its bulky size and that some coffee grounds get through the filter.

My Bonavita that I had for 2 years seemed to be getting worse. The coffee came out not as hot (it never reached 180, even when it was new). So I searched for months for a new coffee maker that is not too expensive. This Ninja coffee maker has everything I want. Programmable, large reservoir, warming plate, good looking. It makes very good coffee. However, the temperature only went up to 174 F. Compared to all other coffee makers that I had over the years, this one is the best so far.

Coffee came out perfect. I am not a coffee snot but Ninja made it easy for me to make a great cup. Comes with a measuring spoon that attached to the maker and water reservoir are perfectly matched. Settings for classic vs rich brew is a little noticeable. Comes with reusable filter which is great the only downside with any of these filters is you get the fine coffee grinds that pass through into the carafe. No big deal but if you drain the last of the carafe expect a zing of grinds. Water reservoir removes for easy and accurate filling. Overall look is a nice blend between stainless and black. Setup was a cinch. Programming time was easy. Programming for delayed brew was easy to setup after reading the instructions. The display is nice and soft on the eyes and not too bright at night and not like the standard LCD screen that looks like a calculator screen and you can't see in the dark or during the day. Only thing I could ding this design would be the short electrical cord. Overall I would recommend this coffee maker.

The Ninja comes assembled -- you hyst have to remove some foam/tape, wash it, run a couple of cycles of water through it, and it's done. It comes with a reusable metal filter as well as a measuring spoon that attaches to the unit. Overall it's easy to use and easy to clean. The buttons for brew options, etc. are simple and easy to access. There's a clock display with buttons to set the time, a power button, a "small batch" button for when you're only brewing 4 cups or less, a button for "classic" or "rich" brew, a "stay warm" button to extend hot plate duration, brew, and clean. The water reservoir is detachable, and it has a nice handle built into it which makes it easy to grasp. The Ninja is not exactly compact, but has a clean, pleasing decor that will fit right in on most kitchen counters. I've been a Keurig guy for some time, so while it seemed the Ninja took a long time to brew, it may simply be I'm just used to how quick it is to brew a single cup. When brewing, rather than drip into the 12 cup carafe as most coffee makers do, it drips into a straw and the fresh drip goes to the bottom of the carafe. I'm not sure this actually does anything but found it interesting nonetheless. Easy to use, easy to clean, looks good and makes a great cup of coffee. The final result was a hot, flavorful coffee that was not bitter. I used the "rich" setting and added creamer and cannot complain at all of the result.

I’ve owned the Ninja 12-Cup Coffee Maker for a few weeks now and couldn’t be more pleased. If I have time, I usually make pour over coffee – but when it come to a workday, I just usually don’t have time. This unit has a wonderful and simple design. The removable water take is a breeze to fill and keep clean. The included gold filter is a nice touch. The strength control is nice. Daily use and programming are as simple as could be too! The best part is that it makes some of the best drip coffee I’ve ever had. Use freshly ground quality beans and filtered water – let the Ninja take care of the rest!

I am very impressed with the brewing capability of this Ninja Coffee Brewer, and how perfectly it makes great tasting coffee. DESIGN AND CONTROLS: This is my third Ninja kitchen appliance. I absolutely loved the previous two (a blender, and an air fryer), so I was expecting another winner. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed. This coffee brewer could not be easier to use. All the settings are logically labeled and self-explanatory. All it takes is putting coffee in the reusable filter and pushing a few buttons. It is constructed of quality components (that is expected at this price point). I especially like that a washable filter is included. The brewing modes are: Rich, Classic, and Small Batch. The Small Batch setting, which is designed to optimally makes 1 to 4 cups of coffee, is the equivalent to about 1 to 2 large coffee mugs. It can make up to 12 cups of coffee, which is the equivalent of about 6 large mugs. The Delay Brew function can be programmed to have hot coffee waiting for you when you wake up. The components are easy to take out and clean after use. Just rinse, and dry and they are ready for the next day. APPEARANCE: This coffee maker has a premium appearance and will look great in any style kitchen. VERDICT: The Ninja Coffee Maker is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. It looks good, has a nice feature set, and most importantly makes a delicious cup of coffee.

Four months and a broken water reservoir later...

It's a great coffee maker, but after less than FOUR months of usage, a hole has appeared in the bottom of the reservoir that makes it impossible to fill up at the sink and reattach to the unit, which is the entire point of this style of coffee maker. So now I have to leave the reservoir on the unit, and full up the pot itself with water, then fill the reservoir. But because of the giant gaping hole in the bottom of the reservoir, it still leaks into the unit itself. It makes a mean cup of jo, but this is just shoddy. What's further, I reached out to Ninja's support email at [email protected], an email I found in these very reviews. That was on Jul 19th, so it's been over a full month and no reply. I know the email works too because I've followed up twice and while I get an automated "we have updated your support ticket" reply, I don't get any actual assistance. So Ninja, I tried to give you the opportunity to rectify this shoddy product and you have made zero attempt to do so. I must insist no one else buy this product, and I'm happy to attach pictures of the issue in question so you can see what might happen if you do buy it.

Limited on pictures for reviews! This is a quiet and fast coffee maker and will take a #4 paper filter with ease. A paper filter (not included) allows for the easy removal of coffee grounds and transfer to the garbage can. You can use the included gold tone metal filter as desired that works as advertised. Timer works but I mainly use the manual options. Unit has lighted display buttons to tell you what the pot is doing at all times. Brewing coil does not shut off until the drop of water is forced out of the chamber. The warmer off feature is nice so you can walk away from the pot and never worry about it being on. The removable coffee reservoir is a game changer. I can go VFR direct to the refrigerator filtered water dispenser and fill it to the 10 cup point, If you have a taller dispenser you fill will vary. To fill mine to 12 cups I needed to manually add two cups. There are no cup markers on the carafe. The carafe does not leak when pouring. First pot that has not leaked for any brand. All parts to this product are sturdy and well built and were a welcome replacement to my $14 coffee maker. At the advertised price point this is worth the few extra dollars to get a unit that is not messy and user friendly. Excellent product.

Brews coffee.. clock segments out after a 1 yr, so i just don't even bother with programming. It would be a guessing game anyway. I just plug it in when I'm ready to brew. It brews.. then I unplug until next time. Very much an average coffee maker.

Even brewing, timer is useful, metal filter saves money, heater doesn’t cool coffee, and detachable water tank make it useful. Better than an ultra cheap model, and a solid performing maker with some frills, but not too many. Built in spoon holder is very nice it comes apart easily to ensure a good cleaning.

Makes coffee like a dream. I have been using the delay brew option lately and its nice waking up to the smell of coffee. Brews perfectly, zero issues. Easy to clean. Reusable basket or takes filters. Large capacity water, makes enough coffee for a few people. I would definitely recommend if you need a new coffee maker.

After 3-weeks, I seriously love the Ninja 12-cup coffee brewing system. A perfect drip coffee consistent pot after pot. The water tank is easy to fill either by pouring water into it or removing the tank and filling it from the tap ( my sink has a carbon water filter). The coffee filter inside the Ninja brewer has a fine mesh gold screen filter medium. Works well enough but I prefer to still add my paper media inside it as it filters the fine coffee grind residue even further. If you brew 4 or less cups, just push the 4-cup button for a perfect brew. I make 6-cups (half a pot) and after a few adjustments for strength versus desired flavor, each pot is now great. Built in bright white-blue clock allows you to program a start brew time so your morning coffee is waiting. Automatically turns off if you forget or leave it warming for 2-hours. Strong or regular there is a setting for this too. I like the easy to remove lid on the pot making it easy for my large hands to wash out the glass pot.
