Solid and strong
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Chef is a heavy, well-built blender that can tackle any task you want to throw at it. I generally use the manual modes but have sampled a couple of the presets and they work quite well for their intended use. Still waiting to try out ice cream but that's on my agenda soon. The suction feet hold it securely in place, although this can also be a bit of a nuisance if you store yours in a pantry as I do since the feet stick quite firmly. The 72 ounce jar is more than large enough for all my purposes. Clean up is very simple since the whole machine breaks down for that purpose. I have yet to be able to make the motor sound like it was struggling in the least and I have been trying my best. Definitely a major step up from my old unit.

Big and Powerful, Easy to Clean!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first "high end" blender I have ever had and I must say it is totally worth it. Great performance and features. Appearance and construction - the blender has a premium look to it and looks to be quality made. It is lightweight as well, making it much easier to handle than it's size would suggest. The pitcher and blade are 1 piece, making it easier to deal with and less prone to leaking compared to less expensive blenders where the blade separates from the jug and a gasket is needed between the two for form a seal. Operation - When you plug it in and turn it on, a menu appears for you to select the kind of blending you wish to do (soup, ice cream, dips/salsa, etc...). Simply turn the knob to what you need an press start - a timer in the corner indicates how long is left in the blending cycle. This takes all the guesswork out of what to do when you are blending, and it is very easy and intuitive to use. During a cycle, the blender will slow/stop to allow the mixture to settle back down towards the blades, then it will resume - smoothie came out perfect! You can also switch to manual with a press of a button, or use a timer. Blending performance - Great, but this is expected, Ninja has always been known for making great blenders. I love the 72 oz capacity of this blender, it is much larger than the old one it is replacing. Clean up - the clean cycle on this blender may be it's most innovative feature. Fill warm water to the Clean line on the pitcher and add 2 drops of soap. Press clean then start and watch it go. During the 30 second cycle you will see the soapy water shoot all the way to the top of the pitcher cleaning the lid as well as all the pitcher walls and of course the blades. Once it's done, a quick rinse of the pitcher and lid to get rid of the soapy water and you're done. Works perfect and full clean up takes about 2 minutes. Only downside to this blender is that when it is at high speeds, it is very loud - too loud to really hear anything else. But, the pre-programmed cycles are all less than 1.5 minutes, so it is not loud for too long. Overall, despite the noise, I still give this 5 stars, as I am sure the 1500W of power available and the relatively short blending cycles that it uses justifies the loud noise. It is just an over all great blender, incredibly easy to use and easier to clean than any other blender on the market.

Great all in one blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What an awesome Ninja Blender , one of the best Blender I ever use. Perfect blender to make my smoothies, prepare my salsas, etc. I’m really impress with the powerful 1500w motor , the auto IQ programs and digital display and the self cleaning program. This Ninja chef is like a food processor and blender all in one. The blender has suction cups on the bottom to keep it in place while using it , also the tamper is great for those ingredients that won’t blend or get stuck. It would’ve been nice if it included one of the 24 oz single cups accessories, but it’s sold separately. It included a 50 quick recipe book inside. This is a great blender.

Simply WOW
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A blender is not a typical tool we use at our house, until now. We had a different brand blender that this one replaced as it gave up the ghost, and there is simply no comparison. The Ninja is like driving a Geo Metro one day and a BMW the next day. It’s is insane how powerful this thing is. My wife is a serious cook and she makes things from scratch. So for instance, thick sauces and soups. The seriously thick stuff would slow down the old blender big time. The Ninja handles it like it’s water thin. The 72 oz capacity is much larger than our old blender, which we were not sure we liked at first. It’s so tall and large, it almost doesn’t fit under our counter top. It’s big for sure and on the border of being too big for standard family use. But on the order hand, it can handle a lot. Specifically it allows you to make or blend a lot or basically make multiple servings. No need to blend a few tomatoes and then blend a few more. This will handle everything in one session. I am not a blender expert or even a cook. My wife is the guru on that and I just receive the benefits of her talent. But I’m my observation of this product I feel it is superior in quality to the others we weighed it against. It locks down tight and seals well. It just feels more solid and seems to be made well. It is well suited for a serious cook or even a health/fitness guru that uses a blender a lot. They do make smaller models, so look at all of them before you decide as this one is quite large. But it is amazing and we really like it. I definitely recommend it.

Top of the line, Beware Counter space needed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned several blenders in my time, but the Ninja Chef takes on my Blentec with ease. It is loud, but with such a high powered motor I can understand. The 1500-watt advanced motor system with next-generation blades is designed to power through tough ingredients. There is even a self-cleaning feature with this blender. This comes with detailed instructions and recipes for you to try. This blender really is made for a whole range of blending tasks so if you want to have just one blender this may be it. The only drawback is that it is large, so if you don't have much space you might prefer a personal size blender instead.

over priced - to loud

Worthy contender to those expensive blenders
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used a range of blenders from Hamilton Beach to Vitamix with a price range that goes from inexpensive to expensive. Needless to say some of those inexpensive blenders are just about worthless when it comes to blending anything with ice or frozen ingredients. In contrast, most high end blenders offer power, but also have a price tag to match. I think Ninja is offering some tough competition with this Ninja Chef blender at a price that is a great value for what one is getting. The base motor unit is well built and the 72oz pitcher is generously sized. One can choose manual mode or opt to use one of the many Auto-IQ modes that are featured on this blender. We loaded our ingredients and made a smoothie in no time using the Auto-IQ smoothie option. The ten customized programs in Auto-IQ mode take all the guesswork away from making ice cream, soup, smoothies, etc.... Once done clean up is easy by adding warm water and dish soap and then hitting the button for Clean mode and the blender runs its programmed mode. The blender also comes with a nice, color book of recipe suggestions for each of the ten Auto-IQ modes. This includes recipes such as almond milk, chipotle salsa and cauliflower soup. Bottom line, this Ninja Chef blender is a great value for under $200 when one is getting a powerful 1500W motor that will handle the tough frozen ingredients without bogging down.

Ninja Chef Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been trying out this Ninja Chef Blender for the last few days and I must say this is a must have for any kitchen. I've used it mainly for making my daily protein shakes to jump-start my day. And it's amazingly simple to use and fast. The blender comes with a tamper to make sure everything gets mixed up and blended well. The included recipe book which is handy has recipes from everything from drinks, to soups, and dressings/dips. My favorite part of this blender has to be the digital screen. You literally just presser the power button and the turn the knob to whatever item you're making and press start. It's also smart enough to know what type of container you're attaching to it. Another great feature is the suction cup feet which ensures this thing is not moving anywhere while blending. This blender hands down beats any of the old cheap blenders that I've purchased in the past, and I fully recommend this blender from the kitchen novice to a master chef. You won't be sorry. Great Buy!!!

Half the price with equal quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We currently own a Vitamix blender but recently wanted to try the new Ninja Chef blender. It usually isn’t fair to compare products from different pricing categories since the more expensive product usually wins due to craftmanship and quality output. For reference, our Vitamix currently sells for more than twice the price of the Ninja Chef. However, we put the Ninja Chef through the works by blending some fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables into a smoothie. There are multiple selections on the dial to choose from for automating the right rhythm and blending power. We did have to run the ‘smoothie’ option twice to get the texture the way we like. This may be due to using frozen items but the Vitamix is able to handle it in one run. However, I may have packed it with too much when using the automated option and should just manually set it to double the blending time. As mentioned, it’s hard to compare the two products. Although, if I never owned a Vitamix and was only aware of the Ninja Chef, it would be a great addition to the kitchen for its powerful blending abilities. It does just about everything the more expensive blenders do and its half the cost which is great for anyone on a budget. It actually could give them run for the money.

Great Blender
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an awesome blender. I feel like just calling it a blender is an insult. Immediately upon opening the box to test this bad boy out, I could tell they built something special. It is sleek, large, solid, and well thought out. The pieces come out almost ready to use. The magic really happens when you power it up though. The preset display all lit up is a work of art and will make a nice addition to any counter top. The included menu makes the first couple of uses simple and fun. I really like the preset dial choices (you can manually operate). I was surprise at how loud this unit is with a name like Ninja. We have an older antiquated blender that the Ninja is louder than (?) at times. I only bring that up to make sure you know what to expect. I think of it like a sports car rocking 1500w of raw power! Overall, I have been super impressed and would highly recommend this device to anyone.

NinjaChef - GREAT Blender!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing you notice about this blender... it is BIG! I have had normal small blenders with push buttons and heavy glass pitchers with tops that don’t make a proper seal forever... but no more! This blender with its 72oz solid lightweight plastic pitcher is a thing to behold. It is beautiful and it works effortlessly. It has suction cups on the blender bottom to hold it in place and a lid that makes a complete seal. I attached the included pitcher to the blender base (after a thorough hand washing), plugged it in, turned it on and and the available IQ settings for the pitcher appeared. IQ settings are presets with time and power level already set for you! If you have attachments other than a pitcher (such as the single serve cup), when you attach that to the blender base, the available IQ settings for that attachment will appear on the screen. In my case, I only have a pitcher and there are 10 IQ settings for it. Among them are: flour/mill, smoothie, purée, dip/salsa & nut butter. I wanted a smoothie! I tossed in everything I could find on hand for a smoothie - banana, strawberries, raspberries, yoghurt, a splash of milk and some ice. I turned the knob to point to smoothie and :50 appeared on the screen. I pressed start and it started to pulse on and off a few times, then it shifted gears and went to a constant speed until it was done and at that point, it stopped. How was the smoothie? Perfect! It looked too thin but when I poured it out, it was perfectly blended. How easy!! I will be making more smoothies now for sure! This item may need to stay out on the counter for all the use it will get. Now to clean it. There is a button for the “clean” function. Fill to the “clean” line with warm water, add 2 drops of dish soap start her up and it runs through the cycle for you. Let’s be clear on this, it doesn’t thoroughly clean the pitcher. It did remove a lot of the residue on the sides, but there was still smoothie in the lid and all over the pour spout. It rinsed it, which made a gentle hand washing much easier. The blades are sharp, so as always, be careful. The blades are built into the pitcher, which I like. It does say all attachments are dishwasher safe, but I prefer to wash by hand. There are buttons on the blender for: power, clean, IQ, manual, timer and pulse. The IQ setting is the default. With these buttons you can have total control of your blending in any way you want. Using the buttons, the screen will show your options for that setting. Set a timer and the speed; use manual to blend at any speed until you stop; use pulse to blend in bursts or use IQ to have the blender do it all for you. Easy? Yep!! This NinjaChef blender also comes with a very nice little recipe booklet (with a lot of photos) for drinks, dips, desserts, soups and lots more. It also has a tamper for use when things get stuck to the sides of the pitcher. While blending, you can remove the lid cap, insert the tamper and push your ingredients toward the blades. This is an amazingly versatile blender I hope will last for a good long time because there are so many things I want to do with it. This is a confident: HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Best blender I’ve ever owned!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far THE BEST BLENDER I HAVE EVER OWNED!! I use this Ninja Chef for everything from home made cream soups to party mix drinks. The blender chews through ice as easily as it does through fruits and vegetables. The Chef offers tons of settings and with its preprammed settings it handles all jobs hands off. No more need to shake or stir the contents, just set it and let it rip. To top it all off this blender comes with a self cleaning setting. Once you complete your blending rinse it out and then add the required amount of water, put in a drop of dish soap and let it do the rest. No other will ever compare. I just adore my Ninja.

Works great! But... Bulky
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a Ninja blender from 2-3 years ago this was a nice upgrade. Slightly larger container with more power as well as more features. The design is mostly the same with the twist on base and the tightly sealing lid. However there are a couple changes I do not find very appealing. The performance of this blender is phenomenal! Throw anything you want in it and it will do the job. Ice, Ice Cream, Fruit whatever... The IQ modes work well overall and the manual mode is just that, a manual mode. You can adjust power, use burst mode, etc. The blade design is different than the last one we had in the way it is not removable and is down at the bottom not throughout the container. It seems like a better design overall. The lid is also a better design. Now the things I do not like are the suction cups on the bottom. I would have no problem with them if they were removable! It keeps the blender from moving with all the power (Trust me it might fly away) but when you want to move or store it, it sticks to EVERYTHING. The cups arent wimpy things either. The other issue is its size. The blender is about 25% larger than our last one overall which makes storing it a little bit of a pain. If you do not have excess cabinet space or a place to put this then I would aim for a smaller one. Overall I would say this is another quality product from Ninja!

Better than I expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this blender is better than I thought it would be. The build quality seems much more sturdy than the old ninja blenders that had the motor on top of the pitcher. Also this thing is way bigger than I was expecting it to be. Size wise it is much more in line with a professional blender from some other makers. The blender also does not seem to be lacking in power at all which is a good thing. A few complaints would be that out of the box it has that new electrical motor smell which can kind of be overwhelming but after a few uses that seems to go away. Also if you are trying to blend stuff that is a little thicker you might have to stop the blender and mix it up a little as it tends to puff up and leave the blade spinning in free air with the mixture bubbled around it. This may just be me not using it properly but it did seem like an odd thing to have happen in a blender. Overall though I think it works well.
