This blender is very well made with an overall solid feel to it. I haven’t had any issues blending ice, fruit and protein powder. My one complaint is the base is essentially the “bottom” of the cup, so it’s attached to the cup at all times when in use. It can be a little heavy because of this, and I felt like this could have been remedied by turning the cup upside down and then screwing on the lid. The battery life seems to be very good, I’ve been using this daily for a week and haven’t had to charge my device yet. I also really like that the blender automatically turns off in 30 seconds, so I can push the button and not worry about having to turn it off. I was worried the device my leak since the cup is open on the top and bottom, with the blending base and top screwed on, but I haven’t had any leaks at all. The blender is also really easy to clean because of those open ended design, since the cup has no actual bottom. The handle is also a really nice width and feels very comfortable to hold. Overall, really happy with this blender.

The Ninja Blast is a portable and compact blender, and it comes with blender, USB-C cable, and manual in the box. It is cordless and hand-held design. The 18-0z vessel is perfect for smoothies, shakes and frozen drinks. The blender is rechargeable via USB-C and very convenient to carry for travel and outdoor trips. The blades are very sharp and blend the ice and fruits to get perfect smoothies. The container is dishwasher safe, and it is advisable not to touch the blades during cleaning as the blades are very sharp. There are two functions which are Smoothie and Ice crush and there is only one speed setting. I have tried smoothies and shakes with this blender and came out very well. It is not convenient to use the container to drink smoothies or shakes as it is not easy to hold, and it is better to use the regular cups with lids after making the smoothies using this blender. Battery life is good and support up to 13 cycles of blends and it takes up to 2 hours to recharge. It is portable and compact blender and does the job very well to make excellent smoothies and shakes.

## Design The Ninja Blast is Ninja's version of the BlendJet, allowing you to blend up your protein shake while you're traveling or otherwise on-the-go. The motor is in the base, and you simple screw on the "blending vessel" and attach the lid. The lid has a one-touch button that flips open the spring-loaded drinking spout, so you can easily sip directly from the blender. I like that the Ninja Blast has a 2-step process to start the blending process to avoid accidental starts: you must first press the Power button, wait a few seconds, then press the Start/Stop button. The motor and blade assembly have some weight to them, and since they need to left attached to the bottom in order to transport your protein shake, it does make this "cup" heavier than your typical travel tumbler. ## Performance Ninja recommends filling the Ninja Blast in a specific order: 1. First, add liquid/water to the "Min Liquid" line. 2. Fresh fruit 3. Leafy greens 4. Dry or sticky ingredients, like protein powder and/or peanut butter 5. Finally, add ice and other frozen ingredients on the top Once it is loaded up, turn the unit on, wait for the purple LEDs to stop blinking, and press the Start/Stop button. I made my typical protein shake consisting of water, a scoop of whey protein powder, some frozen berries, and about 4 cubes of ice. The Ninja Blast handle this concoction with ease. It blends a lot quieter than my AC-powered blender, but still makes enough noise that you wouldn't want to use it around someone who is sleeping. The blend cycle automatically runs for 30 seconds and shuts off, which may seem like a long time, but it did indeed seem to take about 20 seconds for the ice to be completely crushed up. I do wish the power would automatically turn off immediately afterward, because it seems very unlikely that you would need to run it again immediately after one cycle. The unit was easy to clean afterward: I just rinsed it, filled it a little over the "Min Liquid" line with water, added a small drop of Dawn dish soap, attached the lid and let it make a soap smoothie. This effectively cleaned the blades and sides of the "vessel", but didn't quite reach the lid thoroughly. Once it was done, I poured it out, rinsed the soap out, cleaned the lid a little more, and let everything dry. Easy-peasy! ## Battery Life One charge is good for about 15 blend cycles, according to Ninja. The unit is easily recharged with a water-resistant USB-C port on the back, so no need to carry a proprietary charger with you when you travel. However, an AC adapter (the part that plugs into a wall outlet) is not included, but you can use an existing phone or tablet charger with the USB-C cable included with the blender. ## Summary Overall, the Ninja Blast is a great blender when you just need to make one serving. The fact that it is battery-powered and rechargeable makes it great for taking with you to the gym or on vacation, so you can make protein shakes regardless of where you are.

Perfect for smoothies. I wanted something smaller than my blender for smoothies to keep on the counter. Motor is more than powerful enough. Only downside is having to recharge. Would like the same thing but wired.

Great Size for a Portable Blender - Powerful yet silent

The Ninja Blast Portable Blender is so easy to use. I was using it after charging it for just 2 hours. It is only 3 pieces plus the charging cable. It is a breeze to clean and so easy to use. The first time I used it I just filled it with some water and frozen fruit and hit a button - it it literally that easy to make a smoothie. Now you can do more that that - but it really can be that easy. It literally has lines on the side to tell you how much liquid you should add, how much fresh fruits, you can add leafy greens, dry or sticky ingredients like protein powders, nut butters and seeds and the frozen ingredients or ice. You just blend it for 30 seconds and you can either drink it right from the cup or pour yourself another cup. When it’s time to clean it - just add some warm water and a drop of dish soap and blend. It cleans itself. There are a few recipes that come with it or you can find a ton online. It literally it so easy to use and take with you. It’s easy to have at work or home and take a breakfast shake with you to work.

So I purchased this to replace a previous standard sized blender that went bad. I wasnt sure how this would work since it’s a lot smaller then a kitchen blender… but that’s actually what makes it better. Its obvious that this isnt the blender for those that need to blend in large capacities, but honestly I dont and almost never need to. This blender is the perfect size for what I actually need it for. It is surprisingly powerful and blends my smoothies without any chunks. The cleanup is probably the part that I enjoy the most; blend with a little soap and water, rinse out with a sink jet sprayer and your done. This guy is super practical for what most people probably do with their blender and it just makes so much sense for those that fit the target audience. It is definitely not for everyone, but for those that it is for; don’t pass on this!

Pretty good stuff. Only downside is the battery life is a little short and it’s a pain to clean. Otherwise great little blender for smoothies and such.

The Ninja blender is single serve, with not a great amount of power however I have a single serve that's even worse. With the name Ninja I think I expected more and not realizing that due to the size, they just may have limitations. It comes nicely packaged as seen in the picture. You get the quick start sheet that includes a few recipes and a USB-C cable to charge for two hours before using. After cleaning, I added orange juice, cucumber with some peel left on, banana, a handful of pecans and finally some frozen strawberries. After blending for 30 seconds there were still some chunks of banana so I blended again. Still a few chunks of banana but surprisingly the pecans,  cuke skin and strawberries were well pureed. After the second blend, I called it a day with smaller banana pieces left.  Above the on off button is a start/stop button that you hold and release, it will then blend for 30 sec. this is the only way it operates. There are different colors the start/stop will flash to advise you of the state of the blender. Overall, it's just an ok portable that will obviously never replace a full sized one

Compact but powerful. My grandson loves smoothies and it is perfect for his first year at college.

Surprisingly powerful little tool! But it does have a learning cutter hence the 4 stars. What you load to blend and how much you load the blender with makes a major difference in how the device works and the quality of the use experience. If you are not willing or able to lift and shake the blender vigorously, your frustration level may rise rapidly. Also , your need for three or more “ blend sessions “ will produce need for more frequent charging. Note please that the blender does not function when plugged in to charge .
