I love this machine. The Ninja CREAMi makes it so much easier to make ice cream. Just make an ice cream recipe, pour it into the containers and freeze. I’ve been using recipes I found on the internet. The next day, put the frozen mix into the Ninja, push a button and in 3 minutes….ice cream! Before getting the Ninja, I was using a Cuisinart which required freezing the quart bowl and then churning the mixture for 20 minutes until frozen. With the Ninja, the mixture is already frozen in the containers so you can turn it into ice cream when you want it. Plus the Ninja CREAMi is about the size of a coffeemaker, so it doesn’t take up much counter space. Buy it — you’ll love it, too.

This machine is incredible. Super easy to use and the included recipe book is great to get you started. First thing I made was pineapple sorbet and all you needed was a can of pineapple juice in juice or syrup. Texture was exactly what you’d expect for a sorbet. Looking forward to trying out other recipes.

I’ll tell you what.. I didn’t know that I was missing out until I got this little machine. And with the way it’s been hot outside too, this has definitely been the best new addition to my small appliances. I’ve already made sorbet and two different types of ice cream with dairy alternatives. The possibilities are endless for what you can create. Make sure you clean after every use and even get the little piece on the machine that you cannot remove as well. I’m addicted to making my own ice cream. If you get this… you will totally be too! This is one purchase you won’t regret.

Bought this as a gift for my parents. They love icecream and were looking for healthy ways to make it. My mom sends me tons of photos of their creations. So far my dad likes watermelon sorbet with lime and tajin and my mom likes butter pecan. Easy to make and clean. Highly recommend.

Best ice-cream machine ever, so convenient to have it home I just love it

This is the best investment I’ve made in some time! I am blown AWAY by how creamy this machine makes ice cream; it gives it such a great mouth feel. I have only made real ice cream once in it and it was delicious BUT the real game changer are the high protein, low calorie ice creams you can make in this machine. The picture I attached is my favorite treat. It’s an 11.5 oz bottle of my favorite protein shake, 2T peanut butter powder, 1T of sugar free butterscotch pudding and 1 serving of Butterfinger bits mixed in. The whole container is only 325 calories, 7.5 g fat, 9g sugar and a whopping 38g protein! And it tastes SO decadent! I could easily eat this every night. In fact, I just finished a pint. I really want to be the spokesperson for this product

Fantastic fun. If you are on a diet or watching calories this gives you the ability to even make protein shake icecream. In addition it really easy to use. Just be careful you always put the lid on right, i did it mindlessly once and got it jammed. Easy display and online recipes

I have always loved ice cream and I tried to make it with rock salt but it never comes out the consistency I want it to be. I bought this on a whim because you can make all types of frozen treats! It is so easy to use and comes with a recipe book that tells you exactly what to do. The ice cream comes out super creamy and tastes amazing! Definitely, a fun thing to do with friends and family. You can make your own little ice cream bar! It is a bit larger than I thought it would be so you need more counter space but I just put it away after using it. It takes about 30 seconds to make.

I love this ice cream maker. It’s not too big so it fits perfectly on my counter. My favorite part is that not only does it make ice cream it makes gelato, milkshakes, smoothie bowls and many more! It’s definitely the perfect gift to give this holiday season!

Received Creameri in good condition. Instructions were accurate for our first test run of vanilla ice cream which after freezing overnight and than putting it thru the creameri for the final product. It tasted better than some ice creams we have bought At this time we would recommend this item.

At first glance you would think it would hold a large picture but with the motor housing and blades that plunge down there is only room for a pint-sized container. The picture comes in two portions. There is an outer container which appears to be mainly for safety to lock it into the machine and then the inner removable container houses the frozen treat base which you will process. The overall design is distinctly Ninja where most of the unit is black and gray with chrome accents for buttons. Usage The recipe book has many recipes to start you off, including lite options. Some recipes even have regular and lite options combined into one, such as replacing sugar with a combination of stevia and agave. One thing that may cause concern is there are several warnings of damage when using the machine, such as with certain ingredients, or if the base is frozen slightly off level, or if the base is frozen too cold. Also, typically the base will refreeze hard when you put it back in the freezer. This means if you want to run it through the Creami again later, you must smooth the top flat before putting in the freezer or risk damage. While this problem is easy to avoid, this might cause a new owner to be concerned that is seems too easy to damage the Creami. If you have owned Ninja products before you will be familiar with the adjustment period where at first you feel overwhelmed with the features and options before you realize they are all very familiar. Once you understand the basics, its simple to use and without damage. With nearly every recipe, you start with a few ingredients and mix them and add them into one of the three included bases. Just don’t fill it past the line in the container and you will be good. Put it on a level shelf in a regular freezer and around 24 hours you can run it through the Creami. This is essentially the process for most frozen dessert options. The main difference, besides the ingredients, is how the Creami processes the base you have frozen. For ice cream the blending sounds a bit slower where a milkshake blends fast nearly the entire time. Regardless of which option you choose, the progress will be displayed as 4 lights at the top of the control panel. When all four are lit up, you are done and unless adding more ingredients you are ready to enjoy. Performance With the right ingredients you might be pleasantly surprised with the results. While not identical to store or restaurant style desserts, the results are arguably better as you can tailor things to exactly what you want. You can make what you want, the way you like it, while saving money. Gelato comes out with the consistency of soft serve and very smooth and rich. Ice cream also comes out heavy and thick but smooth. Unlike ice cream purchase at the store, scooping out ice cream the next day requires letting it sit out or reblending. Overall, it’s worth the wait. Milkshakes are one of the few things that don’t require waiting the customary 24 hours. All you need is 1 ½ cups of ice cream and a ½ cup of whole milk and a couple of minutes later you have a milkshake. Consistently is soft enough to drink easily with a straw. If you like thicker shakes, there doesn’t seem to be a way to choose a thicker option, but the default seems perfect for most. Final Thoughts If you have been considering a machine to make frozen desserts at home and you like Ninja products, the choice is easy. You will enjoy it. For everyone else, the question is if you want a versatile machine that’s easy to use, easy to clean up, and give you the choice to make it the way you like then the Ninja Creami is work a look.

Awesome machine. Takes minutes to whip up a base for ice cream. You can make it as healthy or as indulgent as you want. I use a chocolate protein shake recipe as my go to recipe. Tastes better than store ice cream, with maybe 1/4 the calories and more protein. You really can't ask for more than that. A few small cons - It's very loud; It takes several respins before you get to the right consistency (which just means it probably takes 5-7 minutes total to make ice cream from the base); you have to wait 24 hours from when you make the base in order to make the ice cream. Overall, I'd still say this is an amazing purchase!

I should say up front that I received the Ninja CREAMi for the purposes of providing a fair and unbiased review. And, I must say, I love reviewing items by Ninja. I always eat well when a Ninja product comes into the kitchen. For the past week and a half, I have had ice cream, sorbets, and a few milk shakes. The Ninja CREAMi is a fun way to make ice cream and frozen deserts at home. However, instructions can be a bit contradictory, and the device doesn’t always behave as you would expect. Limitations with the design meant frozen bits of fruit or undissolved bits of cocoa got stuck to the sides or the bottoms of the pints. My milkshakes were an outright disaster. However, despite any setbacks, I still had a lot of fun with the CREAMi. Most of the deserts tasted great. For those reasons, I am recommending the Ninja CREAMi. SETUP: The Ninja CREAMi comes with three pints and lids, the base unit, a creamerizer paddle, and an outer bowl and lid. Detailed instructions are hard to come by at the moment, but the quick start and recipe guide do a good job explaining set up. All the components except for the base are top shelf dishwasher safe. EXECUTION: I started with a pint of the vanilla ice cream from the recipe guide and a mango sorbet. Both recipes were easy enough to execute. The sorbet was just placing canned fruit into the pint and topping with juice until you reached the predesignated fill line. Most recipes require the pint and their contents be frozen for 24 hours. You then remove the lid from the pint, lock the pint into the outer bowl and lid, place bowl onto the base, twist to raise the bowl up, and then select which frozen desert you want to make on the device. I made up a few pints of vanilla and let them sit in the freezer. They still tasted great a few days after processing. It seemed most recipes could keep for up to two weeks in a freezer. This device is loud. It sounds like you are running a blender or a garbage disposal. If you have any sensitive neighbors or pets, probably best to not run the CREAMi too late at night. When making ice cream, your ice cream may come out looking crumbly. If that is the case, you simply place the bowl back on the stand and select re-spin from the front panel. Over the course of the last week, I have made chocolate ice cream, plain vanilla ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, strawberry ice cream, mango sorbet, mandarin orange sorbet, and two milk shakes. Most of those recipes came out well. I have another pint of vanilla freezing in the fridge right now. I followed the instructions that came with the device for each recipe because everything felt like it had to be extremely specific for risk of damaging the machine. Ninja warns against using pints that froze at an angle. They warn against using certain ingredients unless they are properly frozen in advance. With rules against using unlevel pints, I found myself a bit surprised by the milk shake recipe which just uses store bought ice cream and milk. When I tried making milkshakes, the paddle would catch the ice cream at an angle and spin the CREAMi around on the cabinet. It made a mess. I am sure Ninja would just say my freezer is too cold, the ice cream was too hard, and that’s why the milkshake feature didn’t work very well. And that might be. But even if the milkshake feature had worked better, it still did not make very much. In fact, that is probably one of my biggest complaints with this setup. It is great to be able to make your own pint of ice cream, but it’s just a pint. It was perfect for two or three people, but if you have a family of four or five, you best be ready to make several pints. The other design flaw is that the paddle does not fully reach the sides of the pints. That makes sense as the paddle would then be scraping up the pint. But the result was, I had hard, icy mango pieces that froze to the side of the container. The outer sides of the sorbet were not near as creamy as the center. Ninja has a promotion in the quick start guide offering a free pint container as a condition for registering the CREAMi online. A lot of the QR codes and offers were not quite live at the time of my testing, but I look forward to picking up more pints and trying my hand at more treats in the future. Individual pint containers sell on Ninja’s website for $14.95 a piece or $19.99 for two. You can also buy replacements for all the components from Ninja’s website. SUGGESTIONS: If you want to make Strawberry, be sure to slice up and freeze some strawberry pieces to incorporate as mix-ins later. Also, if you make chocolate, I suggest straining out the mixture as you pour it into the pint. You know how you can have undissolved cocoa when you try to make hot cocoa? Well, that can happen with the chocolate ice cream recipe as well. CONCLUSION: it is not a perfect execution, but I still really like the CREAMi. I probably would not use the CREAMi to make another milkshake when I have a perfectly good blender, but the pints of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate all tasted good. I wish the device had done a better job fully incorporating the edges of the pints, but as it is, I thought everything I made tasted good. The vanilla with chocolate chips and cookie dough tastes amazing. It is nice to be able to make ice cream and frozen deserts knowing full well what is going into it. Making sorbet is a simple and healthy way to make up a frozen desert. I am looking forward to trying out the gelato. I recommend the CREAMi. I have had a lot of fun with it. Just make sure you are aware of the limitations of the device going into it.

The CREAMi blends easily with any modern kitchen aesthetic, and won’t break the bank bringing it home. ============================ >>>>> My detailed thoughts: <<<<< ============================ =============================== >>>>> Overall Design/Aesthetics: <<<<< =============================== If your fan of Ninja products in general (as I am) – you’ll find that the CREAMi is right at home on your counter top sitting side by with many of their current kitchen appliance/devices (such as the Ninja Foodie series products, Blenders, etc.). The simple two-tone silver black exterior colors and blue LED lighting are exactly what I happen to like in my kitchen, and should go with any dark or modern theme; but if that not you’re your “style” you’re not really left with any other choices. I always wish there were at least a couple more color choices for those people that happen to like actual “color” in their kitchens, or more obsessed with “color coordination” in their spaces. That being said, thank to an over all “slim” style exterior design you can just as easily tuck it away under a counter or in a cabinet if needed. As with all Ninja products I have ever used, every button and function are easily identifiable, labeled and makes sense while using the CREAMi itself. In my opinion, the CREAMi is super easy to use, but I have to admit that is in large part thanks to the outstanding videos and guides that Ninja makes available to you right out the box. All you have to do is scan the QR code right on the unit, or visit Ninja’s site and you will have access to many useful videos of the CERAMi’s setup, use, and recipes so that you can get going as quickly as possible after unboxing it. If I had to nit pick though, the unit is on the “plastic-y” side of things, which one would expect for this type of unit’s work – but it feels very solid and still have metal contact points for the blades and drive system itself. I just hope the plastic latched and mechanisms hold up over time, but so far so good and I know Ninja has always stood behind their products in the past if/when I had issues. ====================================== >>>>> Making ice cream/CREAMi usage: <<<<< ====================================== On to the meat and potatoes …. If you actually take the 5/10 mins to read the instructions or watch a Ninja CREAMi video or two …. the whole process is SUPER easy and pretty straight forward. The CREAMi comes with a little recipe book, so there are more enough recipes to get started making everything from traditional ice cream styled treats, milk shakes, sorbets and the like. The package included 3 of the CREAMi “Pint” containers – so I opted to try and make the classic “Neapolitan” trifecta of Vanilla, Strawberry, and Chocolate. I have three kids under 10 years old at home, and they were super fascinated in making homemade ice cream – so they were all about helping mixing the ingredients and starting to make the “bases” for enjoyment later. REMBER THIS IS NOT A BLENDER! - so don't treat it like one or may not work right or break! If your new to making “homemade” noncommercial style ice cream deserts at home – you may be surprised that there are more than a few ways to “make it” … ranging from using plastic Ziplock bags …to electric and hand crank machines that churn your concoctions for you. Having used many of those types of machines myself – the CREAMi has them beat when it comes to simplify and the sheer amount of versatility with minimal effort. The added bonus is being able to make “blizzard” style treats by adding chocolate chips, candies or cookies as part of the “spinning” or mixing process when you are ready to serve them up. All you have to do is follow the recipe for the base, freeze for 24 hours, turn the CREAMi on, pop the base in the bowl, push the corresponding button for the type of treat you want – and let the CREAMi do its thing. It really is that simple. The only knit picky things that come to mind is that the CREAMi definitely isn’t the quietest thing as you may expect, and some of the plastic heavy product design comes into question as you constantly push/rotate/remove the bowl/pints/bases and blade for regular use and cleaning over time – but like I said before, Ninja has always stood behind their products if that actually did become an issue. I accidentally filled my first chocolate pint past the “max fill” line, and I observed slightly more noise then usual, and some of the chocolate ice cream came out of the top opening where the blade assembly meets the metal drive bit. That was completely my fault, and I wouldn’t hold that against the machine, since that was entirely my error, but I would caution that you make sure to keep your bases under the pint containers max fill line to avoid any issues in the future with your CREAMi. ========================= >>>>> Closing thoughts: <<<<< ========================= The Ninja CREAMi has been a huge hit in my kitchen. The kids love it – I like it, and the sky is the limit as to how you want to concoct your own personalized treats. Making the bases and adding the mix-ins were so easy my kids were all able to master the process after making the first couple of pints and are all about trying to make new flavors and treats they had never thought of before. To me personally, that is a huge win – because they are super excited to “make” something with me for a change. To top it off the results were just as good as we would get from a local “drive-thru” creamery stand. As long as you don’t go over the max fill line (as I did with one of my first pints) – its super easy to clean and operate as well. The CREAMi is not super expensive and would make a great addition to any kitchen – even if you have one of the more “traditional” style of ice cream makers simply because of the added versatility it brings to your everyday.

I recently got the Ninja Creami, and it’s been a total hit. It makes super creamy ice cream, sorbet, and gelato with ease. The texture is smooth and perfect, and you can easily customize flavors and add-ins like chocolate chips or fruit. It’s also great for making healthier options with your own ingredients. The only downside is that you have to freeze your base overnight, so it’s not instant gratification, but once it’s ready, it’s totally worth it. Overall, if you love homemade ice cream, the Ninja Creami is a great buy.

First things first, it’s very loud. But that does not grant it a negative review in any way due to the nature of Ninja appliances and what it needs to do. Had kitchen aid attachments to make ice cream but was not impressed with how it worked and with that possible coolant liquid draining into the mix. But this Ninja creami makes a consistent and great ice cream with so little that I no longer need to go buy a pint at the supermarket. I can pronounce all my ingredients and it tastes amazing

I have been using the Creami for about a week and in that time we made three pints of ice cream. This is my first ice cream "maker" and if I had known it was this easy, I would have started making my own ice cream a long time ago! Although this is my first ice cream maker, I have looked at other brands and machines and what makes the Creami different is it doesn't "freeze" the ice cream. Instead you freeze it first in the provided pint containers, then use the machine to "blend" the results. In that way, it's more of a fancy blender (although don't use it at such) vs. what I would consider a traditional ice cream maker. There's no tubs to pre-freeze and you don't need to have ice, cold water or salt avaialble. It includes a recipe book with a lot of great recipes - I can't wait to try them all. The basic recipe for either a vanilla or chocolate "base" uses milk, heavy cream and cream cheese. Once the base is frozen (they advise 24 hours), you use the machine to "cream" the base, then add in "blend ins" like nuts, cookies, etc. and mix again. The consistency and mouthfeel of the ice cream it produced is very similar, if not identical to ice cream we've had from local craft ice cream shops. The only downsides are the mixing "bowl" is plastic and has a lot of nooks and crannies to clean and the machine only includes one paddle, so you'll need to wash it between uses if you are making/mixing multiple flavors in one session.
