Back to the old Ninja movies

I have always liked Ninja movies ever since I was a kid growing up. The plot lines were usually pretty basic revenge type. This one was similar. It stars the son (Kane) of one of the great Ninja movie actors in the 80's. I thought the plot moved along quite nicely. If you are a fan of Ninja movies, this one is definitely worth a view.

This is a wonderfully made movie. The fight scenes in the movie make you want to watch more than twice just to see what missed the first time. The plot was good. Keeping you guessing what would happen next. The ending of the movie was very well done. A great martial arts movie to have in any collection.

Scott Adkins is a modern day martial artist who can act and do his own stunts. More movies should be made like this. No quick editing. Actors doing their own stunts. Just awesome!

This was a good sequel to the first film. The action scenes are great but the over all movie is somewhat predictable.

OK so I bought this one due to an overwhelming response from friends. It was better than the 1st, however, I'm still unimpressed.

    A relentless, brutal throwback

Following their collaboration on "Ninja" (2009), Director Isaac Florentine and leading man Scott Adkins team up once again to bring martial arts film fans "NINJA 2: Shadow of a Tear". While the first film was pretty underwhelming and not very memorable, this sequel picks up the slack considerably. Let's get one thing clear-- the plot is full of cliches and the acting leads a lot to be desired. However, Scott Adkins is phenomenal as Casey Bowman and delivers a thrilling performance throughout. There are fight scenes every few minutes, and the violent confrontations vary from one another with creative choreography and and camera work. If you like martial arts films, CHECK THIS OUT!

    Sequel betters the original

The first "Ninja" was just an okay actioner, and I was surprised they made a sequel. But this one improves on the original in almost every way. That's especially true of the fights, thanks to director Florentine, star Adkins and choreographer Tim Man, who doubles as a secondary villain. Kane Kosugi is also impressive. Adkins in the original was just mostly a bland nice guy. This time he has a darker edge which suits him better. There's also a smart plot device which lets him enter another country and have access to Ninja weapons. Ninja II is good enough to possibly warrant a third film in the series..

Scott Adkins delivers in this sequel to Ninja. The fight scenes are fantastic and is a must buy for any kung fu fight fans. However the acting here leaves something to be desired. Overall good buy for the fighting alone.
