I recently purchased this for our family of four, and it has truly transformed our mealtime routine. The spacious interior easily accommodates meals for our entire family, making it simple to cook everything from a crispy batch of fries to a full roasted chicken in one go.
The touchscreen controls are intuitive, and the variety of preset cooking functions means we can experiment with different recipes without the usual fuss. We love how quickly it heats up, reducing our overall cooking time, which is a huge bonus on busy weeknights. Cleanup is a breeze too—its stainless steel design not only looks modern on our countertop but also wipes down easily after use.
Overall, this appliance has become a staple in our kitchen, offering versatility, efficiency, and consistently great results. I highly recommend it to any family looking to streamline their cooking process without sacrificing quality or taste.

Very large cooking space with powerful convection

Unlike most other toasters, it doesn't have the controls on the left side taking valuable space. Instead the controls are on the handle, which takes less space.
However be aware that is also very deep and also quite tall, so this might be something to consider with non-standard counter sizes.
A reason while this is very deep is that the very large convection fan on the rear of the unit takes considerable space.
The controls, that are on the handle are well though of. When turning it on, the handle illuminates with a list of all the cooking modes and a digital numeric display in the center.
Everyone in the family got how to use it right away the first day. To me that means it's intuitive. It also has lights with recommendations on which one of the four rack positions to use, it takes any confusion out of it.
Because it has four rack levels it can cook on two racks at the same time.
This model comes with two rack trays, two sheet pans, one roast tray (that goes on top of any of the two pans), and an air-frying tray that can also be used for dehydrating, and also a built-in thermometer.
The thermometer plugs into the bottom of the handle and comes with its own magnetic holder when storing away. We keep it on one side of the oven.
Ninja also offers additional accessories for this oven like additional trays and pan, an additional mesh dehydrating pan, ceramic pan, cutting board (customized to store on top of the oven) and molds.
Because it has a very powerful convection fan, it can also 'air fry', for which it recommends using non-stick oil spray.
The dehydrating mode works by combining heat with air circulation, which can dry some fruits or vegetables in about 6 hours.
While the glass can get very hot (it's not a double-glass), the handle here the controls are remains cool to the touch.
Overall it's a great machine that one can tell it was very well thought of. Comes with good amount of accessories and even some recipes to try out. Likely the largest convection fan in a unit of this type.
One caveat is that it can be hard to clean when air frying because it doesn't use a deep basket like other models, any splashes end up on the sides, door or fan, so we use it mostly as an oven and we keep a dedicated air fryer (Also from Ninja).

Ample cooking space

The Ninja Prestige Smart XL is a powerful multi-mode oven that offers plenty of space to cook all sorts of meals. It features four rack levels, from which, depending on the meal, the device allows you to choose only one or two racks for either one- or two-level cooking. I haven’t tested, but I guess you could use the four racks at once to cook. I’ve tried both levels of cooking, and so far, I’ve had better experiences with one-level cooking when compared to two-level cooking. For one level cooking, toasts and bagels have come out toasted/cooked to perfection, no complaints. We’ve also used one level cooking for reheating with no issues. Unfortunately, I haven’t had great results when using the two-level cooking; for instance when cooking chicken wings and fried potatoes, the fries placed on the top tray came out very dry with some not fully cooked, and the chicken wings placed at the bottom tray came out well cooked, but not as crispy as we would have liked it. It looks like I still need to do more experimentation with temperatures and cooking times and also on how much of the elements I put in the trays and baskets, to get the perfect meal.
The device comes with a thermometer that can help you cook your different meats to perfection. You can also customize the settings to your preferences, and you can even cook complete meals in the Ninja Prestige SmartXL, something similar to what the Ninja Combi provides. I haven’t tried all the cooking modes and settings; however, so far, this makes a great countertop multi cooker/oven.
The only downside I’ve found is that when you decide to do a two-level cooking, you do need to set it manually on the device. If you forget, then you’ll be cooking at the one-level setting, until you realize your mistake by looking at the front control panel (if you are the kind of distracted individual, you won’t even notice your mistake.)
The “Tips, recipes and cooking charts” booklet that comes with the device gives you all you need to figure out what to do, how many trays to use, to cook your different meals (it even gives you some recipes to follow.)
- Pros: spacious, four rack levels, one or two-level cooking, predefined cooking modes, configurable settings.
- Cons: no two-level autodetect cooking.
>> Air Fryer
We decided to give the Ninja Prestige SmartXL a chance to air-fry chicken wings and potatoes. So, following the suggestions (or directions) in the “tips” booklet, we went for a two-level cooking. I placed the potato slices on the top air fry basket, and the chicken wings on the bottom sheet pan (over a wire rack), then selected Air Fry cooking mode, leaving all the default settings as suggested, but making sure I pressed the two-level cooking setting on the front panel. After 20 minutes, we noticed that still there was some more cooking to do, so we increased the time and the temperature. Soon after, about 15 minutes, we got perfectly cooked chicken wings, but without any crispiness on them; they were well cooked but no “fried” signs could be seen on them, nevertheless the taste was great (my own secret recipe.) The story with the fries was very different, I am not sure if we cut them too thick or placed too many of them in the basket, but several came out not cooked, while others were a little burnt, and basically all of them were hard on the outside, like something dehydrated the outside of the potato pieces but left most of the inside moist. Definitely, I need to see what is going on here, so I need to do more experimentation, as I would have expected for a different result.
Note: now that I am re-reading the “tips” booklet that came with the device, I noticed that it mentions not to get the different chicken wing pieces to crowd each other, and I think I might have put too many chicken wings together for my first not-so-great air fried chicken wings.
>> Toast
I assume that toasting bread is one of the most common things done in any household. This machine can toast your bread to perfection (of course as long as you’ve chosen the right settings for how dark/light you want your toast to be.) It has room to up to 9 regular sliced bread pieces, so multiple toasts at once for the whole family. According to the booklet, only one-level cooking is allowed for toasting, so you have to place the wire rack on level 3 with your bread slices on it and proceed to toast them. I wonder if I could have two-level cooking for toasting, use level 3 with the basket and level 2 with the sheet pan, and bread slices distributed among them (well, with 9 slices capacity, perhaps I don’t even need to try this.) One thing I noticed is that there is a lot of condensation after toasting, so a good idea is to open the oven once all is done.
>> Dehydration
At home, we use dehydrators for different things, from mushrooms to veggies, so it came handy to have the Ninja Prestige SmartXL readily available for some of our dehydration needs. So far, the machine has done a decent job at dehydrating. Of course, I won’t be dehydrating mushrooms in this oven due to the spores, but I plan on using it on different foods, to preserve and to have snacks readily available.
For one of my rehydration attempts, I chose to dehydrate apples in a two-level cooking style, the wire basket at the top on level 4 and the sheet pan (on top of the wire rack) at the bottom on level 2. I placed the same amount of apple slices on both racks. I selected Dehydration from the cooking modes, and didn’t change the default settings for temperature and time. As expected (as I expected based on previous attempts), the results were not uniform, the top wired basket pieces dried almost perfectly while the bottom sheet pan ones still needed more time. So, I moved the bottom apple pieces to the top wire basket tray and the top apple pieces to the bottom tray, and then continued the dehydration for some more time. At the end, the results were fine, albeit some manual intervention to get the pieces to dehydrate uniformly. I might place aluminum foil over the sheet pan next time, because a couple of pieces of apple stuck strongly to the sheet pan surface and I had to rub them to get them off the pan.

The Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer and Countertop Oven finally arrived & whoa is it a large heavy box,I was barely able to get it inside by myself. Once I was able to unbox this beast and get it in to the kitchen I was honestly a bit worried because this monster takes up a lot of real estate on counter. Thank gawd once I got it set it was able to slide under the cabinets and also not hang off the front edge of the countertop. While on this subject let me say that this thing does get hot, hot enough that you will not hold your finger on it more than one time unless your an idiot, trust me, soo make sure it has ample space on all sides to dissipate the heat. As far as the girth goes if you do not trust me then I have a few pics below with a ruler so you can get a feel for whether you have the space required.
While unboxing it seemed like I kept unwrapping things but this was good because Ninja provides you with all of the accessories that you will need to take full advantage of all of the cooking methods available. Once you have everything unwrapped and slid inside onto the shelves you are instructed to do a 20 min cook to sorta "sterilize" all of the pans and racks that were provided at I think 425* which was how I discovered how hot the outside of the unit will get soo be careful. The oven comes with two wire racks, air frying basket, two baking sheets, and a 2 piece roasting tray.
The Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer and Countertop Oven has a total of 10 possible functions that include baking, roasting, toasting, dehydrating, as well as air frying. I have used the oven several times in the past week but I have not been able to experiment with all of the possible functions. I have been able to use the roasting, air fryer & baking functions and all performed well. When selecting a function the oven will give you a preset to start off with however you can make adjustments as needed depending on your needs. I have done the basics like making toast & morning bagels & everything came out fine. Over the weekend I used the unit to air fry some snacks while watching a few games including some small wings and cheese sticks, the wings I had to cook longer than what the preset was because they were not to that crispy point like I wanted them to be, the cheese sticks came out great and were basically perfect. One evening I decided to roast a few lobster tails and in less than 5-6 mins they were perfectly done & exactly how I like them without drying the tails out.
Soo far I have been pleased with everything I can do with the oven and have enjoyed having it as a new tool in the kitchen however I have had to relegate other kitchen accessories back inside the cabinets to make room for the oven which I'm not the happiest about but whadaya gonna do.

The Adult Easy Bake Oven!
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The Ninja Prestige XL is an adult Easy Bake Oven. From whole meals to frozen pizza to desserts, it does it all. The oven comes with the oven itself, 2 stainless racks, 2 solid sheet pans, a roasting pan, air fryer rack, and a meat thermometer with magnetic holder. The included quick guide has some tasty recipes along with its user instructions.
Something to point out right away for people who don’t read the user manual: PUT THE ACCESSORIES IN THE OVEN AT 400* BEFORE YOU USE IT FOR THE FIRST TIME to bake off any manufacturing residue.
With that out of the way, the Ninja Prestige is easy to use with 10 different cook modes with one or two cooking rack functions plus a manual mode. The oven will preheat in about 90 seconds depending on the mode and will beep when ready to use. The oven will also suggest what level the rack should be placed on depending on what you are cooking. It is made of a heavy gauge stainless steel and feels very well built. The included accessories are very well made too, especially the air fry basket. Nothing is flimsy. I don’t feel like they cheapened out on the materials for the asking price.
My first dish was a whole chicken rubbed with a lemon finishing butter. I sat the oven to whole roast and selected chicken as my protein. With the thermometer plugged into the underside of the handle, I jabbed it into the chickens' breast, running parallel along the bone. I put it in and hit the start button and the oven started preheating. 90 seconds later it beeped and off it went. Another note on the magnetic thermometer holder; I have left the holder in place while using the oven and it barely heats up. It feels like it's a type of Delrin or other heat-resistant plastic, so I’m not worried about leaving it on the oven while in operation.
All other meats give you a “doneness” selection but with chicken it will only cook to well done. About an hour and a half later the oven beeped letting me know it had reached 165* internal temp and was ready to eat. My hand-held thermometer recorded about 173* after the chicken had sat out about 15 minutes which seems spot on since meat continues to cook after you remove it from the oven. It was nice and crispy golden all over except where the back was in contact with the roasting pan, with juicing tender meat all the way thru.
I have also air fried vegetables on the included tray. I have done asparagus, Brussels sprouts, and a few others. All but the asparagus turned out great. The cook time listed for the asparagus is for 2lbs. I only had a lb. on hand, and I believe I overcooked them and turned them more into jerky than air fried. The other vegetables were delicious.
For dessert were some fudge brownies with Butter Finger thrown in. I sat the oven to bake and followed the instructions on the box, setting the oven to 350* for 35 minutes. I put the brownie batter on rack 3 and hit start. 35 minutes later I stuck a toothpick into the middle, and it came out clean. The brownies were nice and crispy around the edges with a wonderful chewy center.
The following night we warmed up the chicken leftovers. I put them in on reheat for 20 minutes at 400*. It came out still juicy but a little dryer than I wanted but was still crispy and tasty. Next time I’ll reduce the cook time a little and see how it goes.
Last but not least I put a frozen pizza in. I don’t have a pizza sheet yet, but I wanted to see how it would do anyway. I put a sheet pan on a rack on the lowest position to catch any drippings as it cooked to keep the lower heating elements clean. I then put the pizza on the other rack on the 3rd rack position as recommended and cooked it at 375* for 15 minutes as recommended by the pizza box. Upon checking when the time was done the pizza was surprisingly well cooked! It was a little more done on the bottom than I’d like, most likely because I didn’t have an actual pizza rack. But it was still delicious and crunchy with the toppings being nicely cooked.
So far in my testing the only stand out gripes I have are that the buttons don’t illuminate, but instead have black writing or symbols on them. With as fine as the print is and being on a shiny stainless surface, the writing is hard to see at the best of times. Another gripe is echoed by many other reviewers. The wall plug is at a downward angle and pretty much prevents you from plugging it into anything but the bottom most receptacle if you want to have anything else plugged into the same outlet. Last issue for me is the oven does get very warm to the touch when in use. This isn’t a problem unless you have children that are tall enough to reach your counter or you have a cat that loves warm spaces. So be careful when using in such situations.
Unless I’m using an Instant Pot, I normally stay out of the kitchen and prefer a grill or smoker. However, after getting this wonderful adult Easy Bake Oven, I actually look forward to cooking in the oven!

One appliance with so much functionality and use

This Ninja Prestige Smart XL Air Fryer and Countertop Oven + Pro Cook is a great addition to my kitchen space and our family needs. The kitchen appliance that helps to consolidate so many different functions into a handy dandy countertop design.
Our household relies heavily on air fryer usage for multiple meals throughout the day and this has been the main feature we continually use, and it's performed quite well for french fries, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, and tater tots for example. This allows for so many various uses and functions such as dehydration, air frying, roasting, broiling, baking, toasting, and reheating. We have eliminated our previous appliances such as an air fryer, toaster oven, and dehydrator, in favor of using this one Ninja Prestige Countertop Oven. Less appliances and less clutter is a good thing for our household and smaller kitchen size.
This appliance simply plugs into a wall outlet with 120V output and operates at 1800 watts. It's a semi bulky appliance and requires a sturdy counter or kitchen island since it weighs in at about 33.75 pounds. I really like the stainless steel look and the integrated buttons/display which are built into the handle. The convection oven is what makes this such a good appliance for an even cook throughout. The Smart Surround Convection helps to distribute that desired temperature to give your food item the proper all around cook or crisp, which helps to avoid hot spots or uneven cooking. We've been making morning breakfast foods such as toast, bagels, english muffins and they've all been turning out just right for our desired look and taste. There are a total of 10-in-1 functionality for different cooking programs as mentioned earlier. Just the other day we made a small 9x9 pan of brownies which baked to perfection within this Ninja Oven. We still utilize our home oven/range for larger cooking, but the Ninja Oven makes it a great addition for when we have big meals for parties. Recently we were baking large pizzas in the home oven, while also making a lamb roast in our Ninja Oven and utilizing the Pro Cook system. This allowed us to choose our desired level of doneness and the thermometer allows for continuous temperature monitoring of the food. I feel the high powered convection in this Ninja Oven allows for faster cooking time and more evenly cooked meats. You can cook on 2 levels in this Ninja Oven and keep the food from intermingling with one another. No extra rotation of food or shaking of a basket is needed, due to the air flow of the convection oven.
Ninja did a great job with providing multiple accessories such as a pro cook thermometer which connects into your food and the handle of the Ninja Oven. There is an air fry basket, roast tray, 2 sheet pans, 2 wire racks. Everything you need to get this up and running and use right out of the box.
I think it's been a very short learning curve for both myself and my wife. The Ninja Oven has a nice upscale design and has a bold look while it sits on the countertop. Overall it offers a lot of functionality and use for various food creations. I'm able to eat healthier by roasting and air frying my foods without using excess oils and damaging my wellness. This is one of the best Ninja appliances I've come across since it's helped me to cook better and shorten my cooking time. Will be continually experimenting with new foods in the future such as making my own roasted whole chicken and items such as baking a pie in this Ninja Oven.

While a little on the pricey side for a "toaster oven," this little thing acts like a giant and has made cooking a lot easier. It can air fry, roast, toast, and bake. I haven't tried making a cake, but my biscuits have come out great! Not to mention, my pork roast, roasted vegetables, and air-fried chicken! The smart cook feature with the thermometer makes cooking a roast a simple process. Probe your roast, turn it on, set the internal temp, and forget it! I would definitely buy another one!

Unboxing - This is a solidly built and somewhat heavy counter top convection / toaster
oven. The box contains the oven, an accessories box, another accessories wrapping and
product literature. This unit weighs over 35 pounds packed which is notable if you plan
to use in an RV or camper. All the individual accessories that are found in the oven or
the accessories box are wrapped to avoid any damage. It did feel a bit peeling an onion
to reach the point of plugging it in and testing it out.
Cooking Space !
It's larger inside than any toaster convection oven I have personally used to date. We
have an older unit that is supposed to do six slices of bread on a single rack - but does
not unless your bread is very small. THIS toaster oven fits a full six slices of Texas
Toast ! It also fits a standard frozen pizza without bumping up against the door or back wall.
Cooking modes I have used so far - ( I really want to try dehydrate ~ )
It has ten ! - I have used the following with great success:
Air Fry - Used for sweet potato fries and regular fries with air basket - Great !
Air Roast - Used with seasoned chicken with baking pan for catch-tray
Bake - Used for pizza - pizza mode works better !
Pizza - It makes the bottom crust of a frozen pizza less soggy !
Broil - Used to crisp frozen pizza, Melt / reheat various leftovers
Toast - To make toast of course ! We have toasted English muffins, bread and muffins.
Overall -
Why even own a toaster ? With one of these you can toast and whip up side dishes to compliment
larger meals, bake a dessert or just bake, broil and/or air fry whatever you want without
having to fire up the regular oven !
What I love -
90 Second preheat - Unit can cook to completion faster than my oven can preheat.
Big interior space !
Convection mode cooks very evenly versus traditional toaster ovens
Room for improvement -
I would love to see this in an enameled non-stick interior.
Overall - Love it !

I have been in the market for a good countertop oven and air fryer for some time and decided to try this combo that was offered by Ninja. I am so glad I went with this product! Right out of the box I could tell this was made well as it offered multiple trays to use when cooking. The door of the oven is strong , closes well and durable that I feel will last for some time. Setup / Install was very easy , just make sure you remove all the hidden tape and packaging inside the over. The instruction book is very detailed with a great "cheat sheet" towards the back. I recommend reviewing the book even for those who are familiar with countertop ovens as this product offers a ton of features. Speaking of features this thing can Air Fry, Air Roast, Broil, Bake, Norm Roast, Pizza, Toast, Bagel, Reheat and dehydrate. I got to experience the Air Fry, Broil, Bake, Pizza, Toast and Reheat however not the roast setting yet. Overall each of these features work great and I recommend to use the pre-programmed setting instead of modifying it to package settings. My brother tried to make frozen pizza , did not go with the programmed settings, went with the pizza package settings and slightly burned the pizza. The only issue I have found is that after the pre-heating it starts the timer immediately not allowing time to place the food in there. So I recommend standing near the oven during pre-heat so you dont miss the timer start. If the timer does start its not a big worry as it is very easy to reset the timer. The roast feature this has also comes with a "pro cook thermometer" its wired and can check temp throughout the cooking. The really cool feature is that it uses a "pro cook" feature that monitors the roast to get the perfect regulated temp. Unfortuantely I have not tried cooking a roast however looking forward to trying this feature out!
Overall this Ninja Air Fyer / Countertop Oven is amazing! It comes packed with features and made very well. I strongly recommend this product.

Me and my wife have had an older toaster oven for the last 5 years or so and we loved it but it was starting to get old and didn’t have the newer air fry feature so we wanted to upgrade. We have had several ninja products in the kitchen and we knew they would make a good product to replace our old oven. We have had this for about 5 days and have cooked things from pizza, corn dogs, French fries and the like. So far this little(big) appliance has done a great job at cooking evenly and thoroughly. The heating elements help to cook your food fast and the fan helps to circulate the air adequately to cook the food evenly which I was worried about since this is new and you never know. But all the food came out great and almost perfect! Although I will say make sure you read the instructions because this thing is pretty high tech and you definitely should follow their guidelines so the food will come out its best. Like which rack to place the tray and what setting to use. It’s a bit daunting but you get used to it and you may have to tailor the time and temp to your specific food item. I will say that this oven does cook fast and it does get hot fast with the quick pre heat feature. Not a bad thing but I had to turn the temperature down and lower the time to prevent over cooking. Nothing a skilled frozen food cooker can’t handle lol. The design is great with the display being on the handle and the interior light is great as well. The light does turn off after you open sometimes. Plenty of space for almost anything you want to cook. This will not replace a traditional oven but it will handle everything else and very quickly. Overall very happy with it for its functions, speed and design. Price is reasonable for the quality and features you get. 100% recommend for anyone with or without kids. Healthier for you as well to air fry and no non stick chemicals making their way into our bodies. That’s very important to me. Also ninja includes every possible tray and tack you might need.

Game changer. Best Buy made the purchase of this Air Fryer super easy, made it to the store and the line was kind of long but a quick in and out actually. As for the air fryer, I'm learning to use this more and more and have made toast, bagels, chicken, thick steaks, air fried frozen tenders, fish fillets and the food is just not as try, tender, and the use of the thermometer is exceptionally easy to use. Ninja is a quality brand that I have purchased many times. ThisSmart convection oven and air fryer is my new favorite. The Air Fryer perfectly cooks tilapia fillets from frozen with ease. The temperture probe is my favorite function from previous Ninja Air Fryers and works just as well here. I’ve been using the Cuisinart 0.6 Cu. Ft. Air Fryer Toaster Oven with Grill for nearly two months now, and it has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. The stainless steel finish looks sleek on my countertop, and the build quality feels solid and durable.
What I love most is the versatility—whether I’m air frying crispy veggies, toasting bagels, baking small batches of cookies, or grilling sandwiches, this appliance handles it all with ease. The controls are intuitive, and it heats up quickly, saving me time on busy weekdays.
The air fryer function works especially well—everything comes out perfectly crisp without needing much oil. Cleaning is also a breeze thanks to the removable trays and non-stick interior.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for a space-saving, multi-functional appliance that delivers excellent results every time!
