Incredibly easy to use. Good for grilling inside the apartment. It produces minimal smoke; you lower the lid, and it leaves no traces of oil or splashes. Excellent for making breakfast, pancakes, eggs, and arepas. Super versatile thanks to its two griddles. 100% recommended; easy to wash and disassemble.

I've got an older Ninja grill. It's not as large and it has served us well for a long time now. We live in a spot where it's harder to manage an outdoor grill so we've been through a few indoor grills over the years. I think we have a new winner here. Setup is simple. I took it out of the box and plugged it in (probably the ONLY downside I've found is how short the power cable is) and it was ready to cook. The controls are pretty simple and there's a menu book (as well as a sticker on the machine if you want to keep that there) that guides you to good temperatures to use. That's all there is to it. Set a temperature, wait a few minutes for the surface to preheat, and start cooking. The thing I was most afraid of, especially after having our older Ninja grill, was how much space this was going to take up. The old grill has a much smaller cooking surface, but it's a chonky machine. Heavy. There are cooking mechanisms in the hood of that grill, so I think it just has to be that way. It was really refreshing when I took everything out of the box and, although the footprint of this XL grill is much larger, the machine feels a lot smaller and more compact. The lid is removable and crazy light so you can cook without it and/or clean it really easily. We have a small kitchen and are desperately short on counter space so it's just nice that this much larger grill can be moved and stowed away, unlike our old grill. Cooking on this is also great. I think the flat griddle surface is going to get the most use for pancakes and french toast in the mornings for the kids. We broke the grill surface in with some pretty standard burgers. Everything cooked well. I didn't notice any hot or cold spots. it just worked well. Although I was a big fan of learning how easily the lid came off, I was pleasantly surprised when cooking with it as it made for a really nice splatter guard. It's very well ventilated with a lot of slits in it so it's not made to really help with the cooking as much as it is to just prevent you from coating your kitchen in grease. Speaking of kitchen grease, cleanup is really nice too. The cooking surfaces both come off easily. There's no latching mechanism on them so they're just held in with gravity and a couple pressure switches make sure everything is secured before cooking. As stated earlier, the lid comes off just by closing it a smidge after it's all the way open and pulling it straight up. So after letting the grill cool down, it's really quick to clean up. I really only found one flaw with this unit. It's kind of a big one but I like everything else enough that I'm not even docking it for it. The power cord is crazy short. And it originates on one of the sides of the grill. If your outlet is on the opposite side, the cord has to travel the distance of the grill (which is substantial) and what's left over is not too much. It's also not recommended to use a bargain bin extension cord with electric heating equipment like this so make sure you have a cord that's correctly rated if you're going to try and extend it a little bit. Bottom line here, I'm a real big fan of this grill. We've expanded our family and have 2 kids now and cooking enough food without needing to cook in batches has become much more important. This XL grill is large enough to do a good amount of cooking while still not being crazy bulky and I'm all in for it. If you're looking for a really nice indoor grill/griddle and your budget supports this one, definitely give it a look.

Easiest Griddle To Clean and Cooks Consistently

I've been trying to slowly upgrade my small kitchen appliance arsenal for some time now and can honestly say this is probably going to be the last indoor griddle I ever get. While there are cheaper griddles out there, this is truly a case of, 'you get what you pay for', and I had no idea what I was missing with those cheap versions. This Ninja Sizzle Pro has everything, but first let's start with what you get, a good looking unit with 2 different griddle plates and a removable lid. With the griddle plates it's not just the fact that you have options for different foods, but also it makes it the easiest griddle I've ever had to clean. The different cook settings and timers make it so easy to cook different foods without second-guessing yourself. So far I've cooked both burgers for dinner (with toasted buns made on the griddle), and pancakes the next morning for breakfast, and both came out perfect. In fact, the pancakes showed how evenly this griddle cooks. There were no cold spots and I never had to move pancakes around just to get them to cook right. Even my wife said the pancakes looked like they were cooked in a restaurant. Going back to the lid, I'm glad it's removable. When cooking pancakes, there was no need for it so I was able to keep it off, and out of the way. When I cooked burgers though, it was an absolute necessity. It's not perfect though, splatter will still shoot out the small openings, but it at least contains it so that the mess is easily manageable, and since you can then remove the lid, cleaning it is easy too. To sum up, you absolutely can't go wrong with this griddle, and if you're in the market for one, I highly recommend just splurging on the Ninja Sizzle Pro, you won't regret it.

Easy To Use With A Large Cooking Surface

Ninja has another gril in their line with the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL. The Sizzle Pro XL is large enough to cook 8 hamburger patties at once. It comes with a Grill plate as well as a griddle. Both have non-stick finishes. It’s packaged well. When delivered mine had a been pressed in a little on the top of the package, but due to the styrofoam, it didn’t reach the grill so all was ok. I suspect that was done during shipping. Assembly/Construction Assembly is simple, quick, and straightforward. Each plate will fit over the heating element. It’s just drop-in and go. I didn’t have to fidget around with it to get the pates to fit. The plates are heavy duty and the lid is made of light metal. Also, there is a drip try that is accessible at the front of the unit. It’s easy to insert and remove for cleanup. Use The controls on the front are easy to read and use. Press the mode button to set Grill/Griddle. You can use High, Medium, Low, or custom temperature by pressing the Mode button. Press the time button and turn the dial to set the desired time. The press Start/Stop button. It will pre-heat and once that it done will indicate add food. It’s that simple. Ninja has made it incredibly straightforward to use. In my use of it, I was able to quickly get hamburgers cooking. Flip halfway through and within 10 minutes of putting the patties on the grill plate, I was done. It was fast and easy. Some smoke did come out of the vents of the lid, but nothing bad. It cooked patties for 10 minutes while I had my stove top exhaust vent turned on. My smoke detectors didn’t detect smoke throughout the time cooking the patties. Cleanup I noticed the vents on the lid allowed grease to splash up out of them. I ended up cleaning up the lid after cooking hamburgers as the vents allowed more than I would have expected to splash up and out onto the top of the lid. I went by Ninja’s included booklet about using oil to reduce splashing, but, even with using the proper type of oil to reduce splashing, it still happened more than I would have expected. So far, this is the only downside I’ve found with the Sizzle Pro XL. The grease trap is inserted in the bottom of the front of the unit. It worked as expected and I didn’t have any problems with it. Final Thoughts I like the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL. It has a very large cooking surface and comes with a grill plate and a griddle plate. It’s simple and easy to use. Cleanup is easy. I do wish the design didn’t allow for the grease to splash up and out of the lid vents as it does. Due to the size of the cooking surface, ease of use, and cleanup, I would recommend considering the Sizzle Pro XL if someone is looking into getting an electric grill. This is a good option from Ninja.

Super cool indoor grill/griddle! The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL 20in is an awesome all around indoor grill, but then add in the fact that it has a griddle top as well, I literally spent a couple hours right after unboxing playing “Mongolian BBQ” for my wife and daughter. It's so easy, heats up relatively fast, and is a great size for making large piles of stir fry or whatever else you might be up to. The raised edges vs regular griddles means you aren’t launching food over the edge while flipping/stirring. (Also the lid helps trap some heat if you need, just be aware that it’ll get hot quickly since it's metal) Cleanup is also a breeze, you can take the plates (grill or griddle tops) off and give it a scrub, or they’re dishwasher safe and you can just toss them right in! Overall a solid entry to the “indoor grill” idea from Ninja, I would fully recommend it for anyone making a few servings of food at once! (plus/or those that like grills but can’t have one due to being in an apartment or condo with limited space)

Seriously, the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL made cooking easy. I used to kinda wing it on temps and then start cooking. With the Sizzle XL I set a precise temp and get to work when it's ready. First test was a grilled cheese after doing a burn off. Didn't take any pics because I was starving! Heat up to 350 took a little over 5 min but cooking was faster than I usually take because I never wait for the pan to heat up properly. I also broke a rule from the instruction booklet and used butter...what kind of sick person wouldn't use butter on grilled cheese? It came out perfectly. Caramelized on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside with gooey cheese in the middle. The next day was fajitas and chicken quesadillas. Before I go on DO NOT TOUCH THE SIDES. I absentmindedly put my fingers on the side of the 425 degree plate to reposition the Sizzle and paid for it. Four fingers got hit but one got it pretty bad where it hurt like heck cooking because of the heat from the griddle. Back to the food... I did the quesadillas first. Tossed the chicken in and let the pieces sit for a while. flipped them and the cooked side was nice a caramelized already. I don't know if it was placebo but man these chicken medallions were the most tender I've made. I'm guessing I never had my heat high enough doing it the old way. I use mostly cast iron and carbon steel. Cast iron is the most used and I sometimes don't let it heat up all the way because I've burned food by going too far. The temp setting takes out the guesswork and makes things perfect. I poured a little water and scrapped off the residue with my silicone spatula and prepped the shells. This was the most painful part for me. The non-stick is veeerrrry non-stick. I kept chasing the tortillas to scoop them up and had to use my sore fingers to hold it in place while I scooped them up. I didn't get to try any quesadillas since I put the extra in the fridge for my daughter to eat during the week. But she did say they were good! Fajitas showed on weakness of the Sizzle, or maybe a weakness in my skill with the grill. The lip in kinda low and when stirring up the meat and veggies I kept tossing some off the grill. I'll need more practice in maneuvering on the grill. Next test will be SOPP with perogies. I'm complete in love with Ninja products. PC, blender, toaster oven, and some pots and pans. I rarely use my oven any more and now I think my stove might get less use. I'm actually looking forward to later this week when I pull out the Sizzle XL again!

    Very large cooking surface!

The first thing you’ll notice about the Ninja Pro grill is its large size, they weren’t kidding when they said XL! The grill itself measures approximately 22”x17”x6” and the cooking surface measures 19”x10”. This is probably not an appliance you can easily store in one of your kitchen cabinets. Included are 2 plates, 1 is a flat griddle surface and the other for grilling. The plates are very easy to swap out. This grill is convenient when you don’t want to go outside to grill or if you don’t have access to a barbeque grill. My first test was grilling some steaks, I was able to fit 3 ribeyes easily, I’m sure I could’ve cooked 4 if I needed to. The grill took a few minutes to heat up to cooking temperature, I set it on medium. It has a nice sear to it, I was able to get the nice grill lines on 1 side, the other side wasn’t as dark. The grill cooked the steaks quickly, a bit too quick as they ended up being medium well. The cover is great, it helped control the grease splatter. I would say cleanup was okay, it’s not difficult, but it’s a bit challenging if you have a double sink. I had to clean 1 side of the grill plate and the cover, then switch it around to clean the other side. After that, I wiped down the grease splatter around the grill. A brush is needed to clean the grill plate. For the 2nd test, I made pancakes! The griddle surface is nice, I was able to make 6 reasonably sized pancakes at a time. The thing I noticed was how even it cooked! It’s not like a gas stove where you might have some darker spots where the flame is. All 6 pancakes were uniform in color. With the large size, I was done faster then I normally would’ve been cooking for a family of 5. Overall, I think this grill/griddle is great and can be very useful. I would highly recommend it if it’s what you’re looking for. I plan to be renovating my kitchen soon. This grill would be very useful if the stove is out of commission. One thing I noticed that can make it a challenge to use is the length of the cord, it’s only about 26” long. It was just long enough so I can place the grill under my exhaust fan, but depending on where your outlet it, it may not reach where you need it to. Can't wait to try out other recipes with this grill! Pros: Cooks evenly with no hot spots observed Very large cooking surface Removable plates and lid for easy cleanup Cons Short cord (about 26”) Can be challenging washing the large plates Need a big shelf space to store the grill

I’ve been using the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL grill for a few weeks now, and I already use it more than almost anything else in my kitchen. If you want one appliance that can cook everything from pancakes to steaks, without needing to go outside or clean a messy stove and this is it! The 20-inch cooking surface is just what we needed. On weekends, we make pancakes, French toast, and quesadillas for our kids, and we can cook everything at once without doing it in batches. It’s big enough for a whole family but still fits nicely on the kitchen counter. We also make fried rice, grilled chicken, and other quick meals. We do have a big 36-inch gas griddle outdoor at our patio, but it’s too much trouble to use and clean for small meals. This indoor grill is the perfect replacement when you just want something fast and easy. What I love most is the temperature control. You can set the exact heat you want, up to 500°F, and it stays steady across the whole cooking surface. With my old grill, some parts got too hot, others not enough — so food cooked unevenly. Not anymore. This one cooks everything evenly, whether the lid is open or closed. It comes with two cooking plates — one for grilling and one for griddling. You can switch them out easily. I’ve used it to make chicken, burgers, vegetables, and even things I’d normally cook in a frying pan. I use it so often now. One of the best parts is how easy it is to clean. Some grill plates are a pain to wash, especially if they have lots of grooves. This one is different. The plates wipe clean or can go in the dishwasher. The lid comes off easily to rinse, and the drip tray is simple to remove. It only takes a few minutes to clean up. The grill feels strong and sturdy. It has a metal body, handles that stay cool, and non-slip feet to keep it in place. It even has a safety shutoff and a lid that locks, which is great when cooking around kids. If you want a reliable indoor grill and griddle that saves time and makes great food without a mess, this is a great choice. It’s big enough for the whole family, easy to use, easy to clean, and doesn’t make your kitchen smoky. I use it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it works great every time — no guessing, no stress. This grill is great for families cooking many portions at once and for people who want to avoid using the stove or outdoor grill. I highly recommend it. Once you start using it, you’ll wonder how you ever cooked without it.

This grill is everything that they claim it to be and surpassed my expectations! Pancakes, quesadillas, french toast, hamburgers, chicken breast, whatever I've thrown at it I've been able to get excellent results with minimal effort. The controls simple and there is no guesswork in what you're doing. In comparison to my propane grill, in which I'm constantly trying to find the actual sear zone and the hottest spot on the grill often leading to inconsistent cooking times and dried out food. When you put it at the temperature you need, whether lid it up or down, you get the temperature you require and it says there across the entire surface. With the two plates included, I can do just about anything that I could on the grill, but a great benefit is also that I can do just about anything that I was doing on non-stick pans on the stove. I cook a lot, so keeping the oven clean with all its intricacies is a chore, so it's great to have a device that can help minimize that chore exponentially. Which brings up a major plus, the cleaning. I have had other ninja grills that because of how they're built and the grooves in the plates, can be quite a challenge to clean. Almost to the point where you hesitate to use it. I can see here they made cleaning a major factor in their design. The griddle plate is as simple as cool down and wipe off, that's it. The grill plate is dishwasher safe but I was able to clean it with just a little bit of a brush and a wet towel. Lid comes right off to rinse, and the drip tray is easy to access. This doesn't have a ventilator for smoke but if you use the high temp oils as they directed, it really is minimal. And being that you can wipe it down between cooking cycles, you can keep that smoke at a low level throughout your entire cooking phase. The only, and I mean only negative I have about this grill is the storage. It would have been nice if I could store both plates and the grill together until needed, but unfortunately the plates don't stick together with the lid down. But, that's it! This is a device that operates and functions just as described with no disappointment. I'm loving it!

This two-in-one cooking small appliance does an excellent job with consistent edge-to-edge heat across the entire cooking surface. This is perfect for making sure food is cooked well and thoroughly. The heat goes up to 500 degrees, which helps to get the perfect grill marks on your burgers, vegetables, and other food items.  What is excellent about this appliance is that you can have perfect grilling in the comfort of your own home.  With this appliance, you can grill food all year round without stepping outside.  The cover/lid provides smoke-free cooking and splash protection, significantly reducing splatter.  The ProTemp IQ smart preheat detection lets you know when the preheat is complete and when to add your food.  The control panel is straightforward to use. There are two options: (1) preset mode and (2) custom precision temp. You have preset modes, such as low, medium, and high settings, with the desired cooking time. You set the desired temperature and cooking time for the custom precision mode.  The medium setting on the grill is the perfect balanced temperature for cooking breakfast foods like pancakes and eggs. This setup/setting is also great for Smash Burgers. This appliance's heating technology allows the plate to heat evenly across the entire surface, ensuring consistent browning—there will definitely be no more hot spots or undercooked areas.  Cleaning is effortless with tap water and regular dish soap. The ventilated lid and the cooking metal plates are detachable for easy sink washing. The grease tray under the appliance catches any excess grease and drippings that fall off the plate.  It is removable and easy to wash.

The Ninja Sizzle Pro XL Indoor Griddle & Grill has a nice 20 inch cooking area with ProTemp IQ. The product comes well packaged and is very easy to setup and get going. It comes with two different grill plates. One of the grill plates has a smooth surface while the other grill plates is a grill style with raised lines. The grill comes with a slotted lid that’s helps to recede splatter for certain foods or to retain heat when closed. It can easily be removed by opening the lid all the way back and lifting up. It’s also very easy to reassemble. There’s a grease catch tray in the front that catches grease and can be removed easily. The grill can reach a temperature of up to 500 degrees. The grill only has 3 heating temperatures to choose from, which are Low, Medium and High. There’s no way that I was able to find to fine tune to a certain temperature. The large surface comes in handy for cooking pancakes. I can cook all of them at the same time. Compared to my other device which is much smaller. I always get the first batch of pancakes to come out OK, while the second batch does not due to the pan being hotter. With this Ninja grill, I no longer have that issue. I can cook all of my pancakes at once and I’m done. Overall, this is a very nice product for grilling indoors or out on the patio, as long as you have a way to plug it up to a power source. This can also be a good option to grill at the park while plugging it into a portable power station or gas generator. Overall, I’m enjoying it and hope to get years of great use from it.

I like food, but I also enjoy easier ways to make said food. This is where the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL comes in. It’s a good griddle, that cooks evenly and cleans up easy. If that’s all you want to know, then you can definitely skip the rest of this review, but here’s what I thought of it. The Sizzle Pro is easy to use and easy to clean. It’s easy to use digital controls and an adjustment knob, which makes it easy to operate when you’re cooking. You get both a griddle and a flat cooking surface for various food items. I used the flat top for pancakes, bacon, and eggs and the griddle for some delicious chicken thighs. The unit heats evenly all across the surface, and while I didn’t measure the temperature, I could tell that it was cooking evenly just by looking and tasting the end results. When you’re done cooking, you’ll be able to just pull off the griddle portion of the unit and wash that under the sink. The grease drip tray also works great. The unit does get hot, but the underneath of it seems to be cool enough to use on any solid surface without worrying about damaging it. The Sizzle Pro isn’t perfect, however, as it is quite large and doesn’t store very easily. The extra griddle doesn’t store in or on the unit when not in use, which means you’ll have to find room for it when you’re not using it. Also, it does still splatter quite a bit, but the cover is a nice addition as it limits the amount of clean-up you’ll have. I had no issues using the Ninja Sizzle Pro, and by all means it’s a great griddle. If you want the ultimate in indoor grilling or maybe something for a camper, then this unit would fit the bill. The surface is big enough to cook for a couple of people, if not more, and it cooks evenly, which is hard to say of other units I’ve used before.

This thing is revolutionary! The build quality is excellent. It’s easy to clean and heats evenly all the way across the unit so everything is done at the same time. I have lots of new items I can make now with confidence. It’s pricey compared to an average griddle but is well worth it! If you’re the home cook you need this one!

Our kitchen is literally full of Ninja appliances, and for good reason. Everything we’ve bought from Ninja has been reliable and well designed. So when I was on the market for a smaller indoor grill, I was happy to see Ninja had their own offering. Setup, if you can call it that, is as easy as taking the plastic wrap off the optional grill plate. Plug the grill in. Done. The included quick start guide has some tips and suggested settings for those just starting out on their grilling journey, with some starter recipes to help out. You can use those suggested settings to set low, medium, high temp and get going, but I always prefer to use the custom temp settings so I can dial things in myself. The pans drain into a drip tray that’s literally front and center, which is nice because you don’t have to risk burning your hands trying to reach a tray that’s recessed too deeply under the grill. The overall footprint is relatively flat so it doesn’t take up unnecessary storage space. Excellent grill with removable plates for easy cleaning. Love it.

The Ninja - Sizzle Pro XL 20-Inch Indoor Griddle & Grill with ProTemp IQ - Silver, is an awesome medium sized griddle that just plain works great and is super easy to clean. I have spent about a week with it and have cooked on it every opportunity I could find. Breakfast lunch or dinner the Ninja Sizzle Pro XL provided plenty of room for cooking on, and I never experienced any sticking food or uneven temperatures. I found that I like to use the griddle on either Medium or Low, because otherwise it cooks so quickly that I find I can't keep up with it. I used a professional infrared thermometer to check and verify the temperature, and found it was within 15 degrees of the set point, and the grill surface heat was spread evenly with no hot or cold spots. There is a small channel on the front of the grill surface to channel excess grease from the cooking surface into an opening that drains into a removable tray for cleaning. I do like that the grill comes with two different grill surfaces rather than the cheaper grills that flip over from smooth to grill grates. I also think the magnetic hold down is really good for making sure the grill surface is held in place where it is designed to be, for efficient heat transfer etc. All the food I cooked on this grill came out great! I almost feel like a professional line cook using this! easily 5 stars, I can't find anything negative to say about this at all. Highly recommended!

The Ninja sizzle Pro XL is a game changer for home cooking. It heats up fast, cooks evenly, and the large surface makes it perfect for family meals or entertaining. Cleanup is quick thanks to its nonstick plate and removable drip tray. I will never buy another griddle other than this one!

I bought this because the exhaust vents in my kitchen are basically useless and the windows downstairs are a solid pane of glass, so I cant open them. Cook on the stovetop with pans and traditional griddles just wasnt feasible. Smoke everywhere. The Sizzle Pro XL has completely foxed that. Lets hardly any smoke out, heats up quickly and seems to cook very evenly. I’ve only ised it for bacon burgers so far but it did a fantastic job with both the paddies and bacon. Unless I’m flipping the meat, I leave the lid closed and splatter is minimum. Also, very easy to clean. The drip pan works perfectly and using just dish soap I can get the cooking pan thats removable cleaned up in a few seconds. Highly recommend!

I love the grill. Getting use to making temp adjustments to avoid splatters. Love easy touch button and knob to control temp. Easy to cut up and love greasy drip catcher. Hibachi meals, fried rice and grilling fresh veggies are my favorites now because the grill size make it easy to cook. V

All and all a very good grill/griddle. Controls are a little difficult to decipher and it is quite heavy. The grill size is good enough for a family of four for breakfast in one seating. Turns off after the set time and then has to reset and reheat. Beware if you want to cook a second round of pancakes or french toast.
