Ninja - SLUSHi 5-in-1 Professional Frozen Drink Machine Summary: AWESOME FUN AND DELICIOUS. Use: We love to enjoy a variety of frozen treats. Particularly good ole fruit juice slushies, but also decadent home-made pina coladas and margaritas. We've recently decided to be a bit more judicious about our spend while dining out and one of the things that consistently racks up the $ are frozen adult beverages. So we decided we'd give the Ninja Slushi a spin. We have had it just over a week and have definitely put it through its paces. We've enjoyed pina coladas, margaritas, wine coolers, and some basic fruit juice beverages. This small appliance is definitely worth the fun. I definitely recommend it for anyone with children or adults that like iced drinks! One thing to note: though it seems silly to worry about sugar with a slushie machine, we did worry. We generally sweeten beverages with products like Stevia liquid drops. These don't have the sugar content that the mixer requires. We had to switch to monk fruit granulated sweetener to get the desired affect. If you're using alternative sweeteners, please be aware that you may need to switch things up. Pros: * Sleek Design. This makes the appliance an easy sell for leaving on the counter if you have the space (or don't have off-counter storage). It is also right sized and easy to move around for those that need to. * Well Built. The entire appliance is basically plastic. But the unit feels substantial, and when put together, feels well made. Only time will tell! * Easy to Use. Assembling the unit is a breeze and its intuitive. Getting the unit operational and making slushies can be a short exercise in patience. Be sure to read the stickers on the device for hints/instructions. Of particular import are the "what happens when X and Y lights are lit and the unit beeps" as these address the top two issues with making slushies: alcoholic content and sugar content. Lacking enough of either/or and you will end up with a block of ice and a jammed unit! * Instructions. Though seemingly sparse, the instructions are available on the unit if you haven't removed the stickers, or online. READ THEM. Doing so will save you time and heartache. * Thoughtful design. In addition to looking great, there are smaller things such as the plastic trim on the sides of the unit that help ensure the unit is kept far enough away from another device/wall so as to allow air movement. This likely helps prevent the unit from overheating. * Controls. The controls match the ease of use. On the whole the presets are going to work just fine for you. However, you are able to make finer tuned adjustments to the temperature of the freezing drum. Cons: * Plastic auger. I do wish the auger was metal. I can imagine reasons why it isn't, but it would have been nice. I feel like this is the primary moving part in contact with ice and likely the most to break. * Freezing drum placement. I realize this is not an easy solve. But it would have been super great if the drum could be removed with ease while attached to the container. This would ensure that if the seal were to break, or if improperly assembled, or something else that the liquid would remain entirely within an enclosed chamber. I had one instance of too low sugar content, and the mixture iced up pretty fast. The auger was working overtime and the chamber itself was rocking as if it was going to push right off the unit. Had the seal/clamp broken or been misaligned, it may very well have! Not likely to happen, but that came to mind when I saw the rocking.

    Effortless Frozen Drinks at Home

The Ninja SLUSHi Professional Frozen Drink Maker is an excellent appliance to have on hand if you want to whip up refreshing cold beverages in the comfort of your own home. This are my honest thoughts of the product after trying more than 20 different recipes. The level of design and construction quality: The Ninja SLUSHi machine's sleek, contemporary design drew me in right away. My kitchen looks dramatic and opulent because of the contrast between the gray and Arctic Blue, which goes well with its style. It is a little bigger than usual, holding 88 ounces, but that is to be anticipated from a device that can hold several drinks at once. Any well-made kitchen appliance has a lengthy lifespan Success The Ninja SLUSHi's unique ability to quickly transform nearly any liquid into a flawlessly textured frozen drink is what sets it apart. The five pre-programmed options can be chosen from, add your preferred beverage, and let Ninja's innovative RapidChill technology take care of the rest. This eliminates the need for ice entirely. Whether you're seeking a rich chocolate milkshake or a traditional Coca-Cola slushie, the SLUSHi always turns out beautifully. Its adaptability is one of this machine's best features. There are pre-programmed choices such as milkshakes, frozen juices, frappes, spiked drinks, and slushies, but you can also experiment and make your own combinations. Trying out new recipes and freezing my go-to protein smoothie and pre-workout drink in the morning has been a lot of fun for me. Utilization: Its ease of use is one of the best things about this equipment. There is very no learning curve and the controls are simple to operate. Just put the ingredients to the container, choose a preset, and start cooking. The Ninja SLUSHi is surprisingly easy to operate for such a high-performing device. With buttons labeled for each preset program, the control panel is simple to operate and straightforward. You may quickly change the viscosity or thickness of your drink by adjusting the temperature using the arrow buttons if it's not quite the perfect consistency. Because its removable pieces are safe to put in the dishwasher and its exterior can be cleaned with a damp cloth, the machine is also very easy to clean. The level of background noise: Though you can certainly expect this level of power and not much quietness, it's not the quietest machine I've ever used. Considering how fast it operates, it is audible but not really annoying. Similar to other high-performance blenders, the noise level is not too high. The great quality of the beverages it produces justifies the noise level, in my opinion. Ability: With an 88-ounce capacity, this machine is ideal for serving large quantities of beverages. Making several rounds of frozen beverages for parties has allowed me to save a ton of time because I don't have to stop and refill as frequently. It works well for smaller gatherings or for yourself because you can double the recipe and freeze the extras for another time. Some Thoughts To Ponder While the Ninja SLUSHi is undoubtedly a great product, there are a few things to keep in mind. Since the appliance is heavy and pretty large, make sure you have enough counter space before using it. The second issue is that low-sugar and diet drinks don't freeze correctly in the machine since they don't have enough sugar. Is Everything Sense Enough? The Ninja SLUSHi's $300 price tag is more than reasonable. It's absolutely worth the money, though, if you enjoy frozen drinks and want the ease of producing them at home anytime you want. I find myself reaching for this amazing product frequently due to its exceptional adaptability, ease of use, and consistently yields fantastic outcomes Every time, And it's just plain enjoyable! For a summer party or just to pamper yourself on a hot day, the Ninja SLUSHi is ideal for adults and children alike. I really advise taking a look at this amazing frozen drink machine if you have the money and counter space.

Are you struggling to save for your financial future because of your love for avocado toast* and gourmet beverages? Do you stop at Startbucks multiple times a week for a grande pumpkin spice Frappuccino? Do you find yourself drawn to the large Icee at the movie theater? Do you crave a frozen cocktail to beat the heat on a hot summer day? What if I told you there was a way to make all of these frozen concoctions, and so many more, at home for a fraction of the cost? Get your house savings back on track. Introducing the Ninja Slushi! *Avocado toast is not classified as a gourmet or frozen beverage. The Ninja Slushi cannot help you in your quest to obtain unlimited avocado toast at home. All jokes and poor attempts at a Ninja Slushi infomercial aside, this thing is amazing. I am the aforementioned millenial who loves Frappuccinos, Icees at the movie theater, and frozen cocktails. The twist is I already own a home. Gasp! Once I started seeing influencer ads about the Ninja Slushi, I HAD to try it. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Compared to a blender, setup is so easy. Just add your ingredients to the reservoir, choose the appropriate temperature setting (there’s an abundance of resources on how to do this correctly), check in every so often, and then enjoy. You don’t need to add ice or cringe as you hit the power button because your ears are about to be blasted off by the sound of a metal blade obliterating it to pieces. So far, we’ve made margaritas, frozen lemon lavender Moscow mules (my favorite drink thus far), slushed Dr. Pepper, slushed Mtn Dew Baja Blast to rival Taco Bell, and frozen chai tea latte. Spiked drinks can be a little needy if you add too much alcohol as the cooling core cannot get cold enough to freeze it. In this instance, you need to add more sugar (via mix) or water it down. There is a label fixed to the side of the machine to remind you how to make adjustments if needed. The Ninja Slushi is easy to tear apart and clean thoroughly when done. It’s thin and surprisingly easy to store in tight cupboard spaces. This thing is all the rage right now and I do, fortunately or un, see why. The fact that I have one has certainly made my friends jealous. I definitely recommend you pick one up when they’re back in stock!

Ninja comes into the drink game offering a very easy to use frozen drink maker that doesn't take up too much countertop space and actually looks good. For starters, you have very simple setup instructions when you open this and take out of the box. You do have to let it acclimate, in its upright position, for 2 hours prior to actual usage of the machine. There are 5 presets that you can use to make your first few drinks. SLUSH, SPIKES SPLUSH, FRAPPE, MILKSHAKE, and FROZEN JUICE are the presets. The provided instructions and recipe book do provide a bit further reading in order to properly identify if your dink has the appropriate amount of sugars and/or alcohol in order for the consistency of slush to come out decent. The good thing is that if the machine identifies that one or the other is lacking, it will make an audible sound and flash as an alert to let you know that some adjustment to the drink is needed. That's how quick and easy you can get going to start your own slushies. I will say that depending on your preferred consistency, you do have the option to dial up or down the cold temperature of the condenser unit. You can always start your drink with the preset and if it appears that you need to adjust after, you can always make a quick adjustment. Keep in mind that you may have different experiences trying out different types of drinks due to the manufacturer's recipes. I love that you don't need to add ice or mess around with any of the internals until it comes to cleaning the unit itself. It even helps you clean it out with a RINSE feature, just add warm water after emptying out your drink and it will help rinse the machine down without turning on the condenser. I can see this being a hit at parties to have available frozen drinks on tap. It can take 15+ minutes depending on how much drink you have added in. So keep that in mind in case you will need to refill for a larger party every 6 or so drinks.

My family has a slushy addition, it doesn't matter if they are from a gas station, restaurant, or theme park, if there is a slushy available, my teens will order it. For this reason, and in hopes of making my gas station trips faster, I was super excited to try out the new Ninja SLUSHi pro frozen drink maker.  In the box is the slushy maker, quick start guide, recipe book, and product information. Setup is very easy, insert the drip tray, condensation catch tray, place the mixing paddle over the evaporator, lock the reservoir into place and you're ready to go. I know it sounds like a lot, but seriously takes about 30 seconds. I was impressed with the simplicity of setup, and how sturdy everything feels. Due to the design, it's nearly impossible to install anything incorrectly, which means I'm comfortable letting my 13 year old have free reign to use the slushy maker without supervision.  To use the slushy maker, you select one of the five presets (slush, spiked slush, frappe, milkshake, frozen juice), pour in liquid via the top port of the reservoir, and wait. You will need to use a recipe with at least 2 cups of liquid and the maximum that the reservoir can hold is 8 cups of liquid per batch. The time until ready/frozen depends on which preset is selected and the amount of liquid used. For example, to make a small batch (2 - 3 servings) of a slushy takes 15 minutes, whereas spiked slushies and milkshakes can take 30 - 40 minutes for the same sized serving.  Note that you can adjust the temperature from what the preset recommends, however I've found that typically the preset gives the optimal consistency.  Once the slush is made, pull the dispense lever and the slushy will dispense. Note that for small batches, or if you turn the settings colder, the dispense time may take slightly longer, otherwise I find that the slushy dispenses at a good speed to not make a huge mess.  I did notice that the machine would occasionally has some residual that would drip after first releasing the lever, however it wasn't much and was contained by the drip tray.   As far as holding time, there doesn't seem to be any time limit on how long the machine will keep the slushy cold, as sometimes my teens will make a large batch and leave it on for 6+ hours with no issues. You can also add in more liquid later during the same cycle, assuming you have already poured some drinks, if you need more refills.  Once done, the rinse cycle is fantastic.  I use a large open top pitcher, pour in at least 2 cups of warm water, hit rinse, and then dispense the water back into the pitcher.  This will get the evaporator clean and remove any frozen build up (see photo).  Note that you'll want to use a larger container, as the water will drain rapidly when using the rinse cycle. After rinsing, the reservoir, paddle, condensation tray, and drip tray can all be removed for quick cleanup or thrown in the dishwasher.  A few things to know about the SLUSHi:  1. The recipes are great starting points, but if you can dream it up, and it contains at least 8g of sugar per 8 oz of fluid, you can make it.  If it doesn't, there is a low sugar alert, and you can add in juice, syrup, honey, sugar, etc.  To add in anything not already liquid, such as sugar, you'll want to mix with a liquid and pour the mixture into the reservoir after fully mixed. Note that this 8g is directional, I got away with a little less in some instances, but all varies by what ingredients you use. 2. There is a super easy soda recipe that everyone seems to love. Pick your favorite soda, and dump into the machine, soda slushies within minutes.  Also great for a twist on root beer floats, we make the vanilla milkshake recipe, followed up by a root beer slushy and combine the two.  3. For spiked slushies you need to be between 2.8% - 16% alcohol, so this is basically 1 cup of straight alcohol per 3 cups of liquid, wines just need to be less than 16% ABV. Again your mileage may vary slightly pending what you use.   4. There is a low sugar, high sugar, and high alcohol audible alert that will beep if something is needed to make your slushy come out at the correct consistency.  Overall I've made a popular pineapple copycat recipe from a theme park, gas station flavors such as soda and cherry, frozen sangria, wine slush, milkshakes, and breakfast smoothies, to include adding in protein powder to the mix.  Absolutely everything we have tried has come out at a fantastic consistency, with full flavor as there is no ice or water to dilute the drink, and is quick and easy to make and enjoy.  I have not found a single downside to this device, it's not very loud, the footprint it as small as it can be to hold that much liquid, and setup and clean up are both very easy.

I was looking for something that could add a fun, memorable touch to open houses, client appreciation events, or even just backyard hangouts with family. The Nina Slush I Machine definitely delivers on that. What I Like: • Quick and Efficient: It turns drinks into slush in like 25 minutes, which is perfect when I’m short on prep time before an event. • Professional Look and Build: It doesn’t feel cheap at all—more like something you’d see at a fancy party setup, which fits the image I want to project at real estate events. • Versatile: Whether it’s kid-friendly slushies or spiked drinks for adult events, it handles both like a champ. • Quiet Operation: Huge plus for open houses—no annoying humming in the background while trying to talk with potential buyers.

WOW Ninja has done what every kid wished for a home Slushi machine. Well some adults to. This is now my favorite kitchen appliance that i own. This slushi makes every drink more enjoyable to drink you will be making everthing into a slushi. The Ninja has 5 setting so you can have different types of drinks. Slushi mode is for your soft drinks, Kool Aid anything without alcohol in it. Now Spiked Slushi is for all your alcohol drinks whats cool about this mode is it will tell you if you have a high alcohol count in the drink. This will make it not turn to a slushi it will beep twice at you to let you know if you have to add some water to the mix. I like mine strong adding whater to it didn't take it down that bad. But anything over i think 16 proof will need to be adjusted. It will let you know if you have a high sugar and alert you for that to just with high alcohol and sugar dilute with 1/4 cup of water. Frappe is for your Coffee. Milkshake now this could be dangerous as you can always have onw when you want it in about 20 to 40 min. Frozen Juice OJ Apple Juice all that good stuff. Now all of this can take 20min to 1hr but i haven't had anything take longer than 35 min. Now i will tell you before you start pouring in your mix make sure you have the mixer in place i got to excited and forgot and had to empty it all out and start over. No big deal a little mess to clean up. This will make all you events better as everyone will want to mix something to see how it will taste. We had a slushi party and had a blast it ran all night we did have some beeps but mad the correct adjustments and kept going. The clean up on this is easy and not all bad. this will keep your drink mixed for 12hrs that cool. the one down fall is i wish you could have a side reservoir to keep your drink flowing and it just adds more as you go. Maybe next model Ninja. Overall this is a blast to have fits under the cabinet just fine not that wide.

The Ninja Slushi machine is amazing! Turns liquid into a frozen drink without ice! First some basics. It is roughly 17” high, 17” in length and 6” in width. Fairly compact. It has a 5’ electric cord. My suggestion, find the spot you plan to place it before taking it out of the box. It is fairly heavy. If you have ever used a celery juicer, the Ninja Slushi has a similar construction and uses an auger to keep the liquid moving over the stainless steel (I think it’s stainless) evaporator (chilling cylinder). Like other Ninja products I have used the Slushi machine is designed incredibly well. The manufacturer seems to put so much thought into the design and I for one really appreciate it. A drip tray clips on the front to catch anything that missed the glass when using the pour spout. The thoughtful design includes a little knob on the side of the unit to store the drip tray when the unit is not in use. That’s thoughtful design! (See pictures) After cleaning I poured cold orange juice into the unit and turned it on. The Slushi machine requires a minimum of 16 ounces of liquid and a maximum of 64 ounces. I was trying to estimate 20 ounces for the first slush and as I was pouring in the orange juice, I realized the minimum and maximum levels are marked on the front of the unit (see picture). Within two minutes of setting the machine to frozen juice and three bars on the temperature scale I saw little spots of frozen juice. In 15 minutes, I had an orange juice slushi. Fantastic! The Rinse cycle makes cleaning the machine easy. Pour in hot water then dispense it while the machine is running the “Rinse” cycle. Frozen drinks, no ice required. Easy cleanup. That’s five stars for the Ninja Slushi. One thing about the Ninja products is they have great manuals. They are designed from the user’s perspective, not the manufacturer’s perspective. Everything you need to know is in the manual and it’s written clearly and simply. The pictures and explanations in the manual describe use, cleaning and has recipes. Interesting that the liquid being slushed must contain 4% or more of sugar. Below 4% will cause the liquid to freeze too hard to be a slush. Looking up the unit on the Ninja website it does say sugar substitutes can be used; however, the manual states that artificial sweeteners will not contribute to the 4% sugar requirement.

This frozen drink maker has been a great addition to my arsenal of home entertainment tools. I have been using this slushi maker now for about a week and have been able to wow my neighbors. This maker is a must have for those who host parties. There are a couple of primary reasons why we are enjoying this so far. Those reasons are versatility and clean up. The sheer amount of different recipes that this slushi maker can accommodate is astounding. When I had initially opened up this box I had though that I was stuck making one flavored fruit slushi, that is not the case. The maker comes with a recipe booklet that has really opened my eyes. Think, milkshakes, think daiquiri, think energy drinks. My mind has been blows by the versatility of this product. When using the maker its a synch too. There are not 100 steps to follow before making a drink, its very straight forward. The second area that made me a fan of this slushi maker was the easiness to clean... There are only a couple parts that needs to be washed, at a glance I thought there would be at least a dozen but that's simply not the case. The noise level is also pretty quiet too, my mind had immediately thought that this was going to act as a blender but that is not the case, its a different animal. All in all, if you are one who likes to entertain, host parties or has any special events coming in the near future then I would highly recommend this professional frozen drink maker as it can please nearly anyone in the crowd, is easy to operate and clean!

I honestly didn’t expect to love the Ninja SLUSHi 5-in-1 Professional Frozen Drink Maker this much, but it’s been such a fun addition to my kitchen. I’ve made everything from classic slushies to frozen mocktails, and they come out smooth and perfectly icy every time. It’s super easy to use — just pour, press, and wait. It does take a little patience while it freezes, but once it’s ready, it’s 100% worth it. Definitely one of my favorite “treat yourself” purchases.

I've had so much fun with this new machine! I brought it to work for "Spread Joy" day at the end of a really rough week at work right after I got it, and everyone was asking where I got it, how they could get their hands on one, and how jealous they were that I have one. That day was the first time I used it, and since we were at work, we stuck to a variety of different fruit juices I picked up at the grocery store, and the preset for frozen juice worked perfectly! We used different types of juices in a variety of thicknesses (orange mango, lemonade, fruit punch, etc), and every one worked up to a tasty slush in less than half an hour. I also tried it with pre-mixed iced coffee - I did have issues with this one. By my calculations, it wasn't too much liquid, the sugar level was fine...but I tried 5 different times to run it through different presets, and every single time the machine stalled and shut down. Best I can tell, after feeling the sides of the machine as well as reading the manual, it was overheating during the process, and I could not for the life of me figure out why. It got cold and a little bit slushy, but remained mostly liquid. I'm going to try again with plain cold brew and creamer, maybe it was the pre-mixed bottled coffee that was the problem, I'm not sure. Clean up is a breeze - you just run plain water through the machine with the rinse cycle, and then throw the removable pieces in the dishwasher! It really is as simple as that! My next slushies to make will be boozy - I can't wait!

Got this to save me trips to the 7-11 for slushies for the kids and it does not disappoint! Out the box it was setup and ready to be used in less than 5 minutes. All the parts are easy to clean and it disassembles very easily for cleaning purposes. We started off with strawberry lemonade slushies and just poured the strawberry lemonade we got from Sam's club and just about 1 hours later we had slushies. After that I followed the instructions in the included booklet to make a frozen strawberry margarita and used the spoked slush setting and just about an hour late had perfect frozen margaritas. I had my wife try it and it tasted just like the ones we get at Chili's!!! Haven't gotten to make a Pina Colada or Rum Runner yet but I can only imagine how good those will also be. Pros - Makes awesome slushies or adult spikes frozen drinks - The milkshake recipe tasted exactly like a Wendy's Frosty - Disassembles quickly and is easy to clean Cons - Larger than you might be expecting so know it will take up some counter space but it isn't gigantic - Can take up to an hour or longer to be ready based on how much liquid you put in Overall this thing is awesome and my kids have been thrilled with everything we have made so far. It cleans up easily and has minimal assembly and was ready to use 5 minutes out of the box. If you enjoy at home frosty's also this will make them exactly the way they are at Wendy's if you follow the directions on the website.

It’s powerful, easy to use, and blends smoothies incredibly smooth with no chunks of ice or fruit left behind. Cleanup is quick, which is a big win when you’re using it daily. What really sold me is how consistent it is—whether I’m making protein shakes, fruit smoothies, or frozen drinks, it handles everything without struggling. It feels well-built and sturdy, not flimsy like some Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable smoothie blender that actually does what it promises

Ok, I’ve always wanted a slushy machine so this is a dream come true. For the adults I made one part of a Miami Vice and then the next day for the kids I made koolaid slushies. Then we tried out some recipes for basically a vanilla frappe and everything came out so well! Obviously I read all the tips about the amount of sugar necessary and the limits on alcohol content if you’re going that direction but the machine is good about letting you know if something’s off. I want to try a wine slushy next. Overall time to freeze seems reasonable and being able to leave it running for a while meant I could start it up in the morning and it was good through the evening. Cleanup is fairly easy as most pieces come apart and there’s only a couple finicky spots I made sure to hit to hopefully keep it working for a long time. I think really the only limitation is the size. It’s great for your kids to have one on the weekend, have a couple friends over, but I imagine it’d just be a tease if you had a large party. I’m considering getting a second so I can make both parts of a Miami Vice at once and that’ll give me about ten people worth of a mix.

The Ninja Slusher Maker delivers exactly what it promises: icy slush drinks with almost zero guesswork. It chills very quickly, blends evenly, and doesn’t leave big ice chunks behind. The texture comes out smooth and consistent, kind of like what you’d get from a convenience store slush machine. It’s also surprisingly quiet and easy to rinse out — no complicated parts or sticky mess.

This was a gift for my son for his birthday. He loves it the quality and weight of this machine are great. He's made slushies and they have turned out good. No complaints so far. The only issue we came across was the warranty it's only for a year with Ninja which is shocking considering the parts. Ninja usually offers 5 to 10 year warranty on their products. I have several products insured with Ninja. So if there is a flaw this would be it. Overall great product!!

Setup was pretty simple. Just a few items to connect before it was connected. We tried the slushy feature first. Pretty simple. Poor your soda of choice in the top till you reach the minimum or maximum fill line. Then turn it in to slush mode. Then walk away. About 20 min or so later it beeps which means it is done. Then put a cup under and tilt the handle toward you. This is where we had trouble. The slushy would get stuck and we stuck a for inside to push it back and then it worked again. Then slushy was good but struggled with a normal straw. They should have included thicker straws. Cleaning was easy. Just fill with warm water and run the rinse cycle. Then remove and wash the components. I tried the frozen coffee and lemonade smoothy. Also attempted to make a chocolate shake. All worked. I just wish they had better recipe cards for ease of use in the family. Overall I like the machine but found the slushy getting stuck removing from the experience. Also the lack of thick straws had me using a spoon which is not the experience I was hoping for. Finally there was no clear recipe’s for non alcoholic Pina Colada’s which would have been nice to try. There was one but I could not find the brand of mix the suggested. Also I wanted to make some energy slushy’s but they need minimum 4g of sugar and most I drink are sugar free.

The Ninja Slushi is so simple and everything ends up with the perfect consistency. You can prety much make anything into a slushy as long as there is some sugar in the product. It is also very fast, usually only takes a few minutes to make a slushy.
