    Excellent Grill for Apartment Living

This grill is perfect for apartments that don’t allow open flame grills. It's incredibly easy to use: simply preheat, prep your food, and then cook. It even has a timer that alerts you when to flip your food, if necessary. I got this on sale (Best Buy Drop), so I paid quite a bit less than the MSRP. In that regard, it’s worth every penny. Bonus: My wife is thrilled that I can cook burgers, fish, and more without smoking or stinking up the whole apartment. Cons: The excess fat and grease don’t drain as well as they could, and the drain hole can get clogged with food scraps. However, I don’t consider this a major issue—just something to keep in mind. Also, while some accessories and branded pellets are mildly expensive, you don't have to buy everything branded Ninja. There are plenty of alternatives.

Solid little grill, used it in an apartment. Was able to cook either outside on the porch or under the vent fan for the electric range - all functions work, little bit expensive to run the smoker for a long smoke session, don't use often now that I have a backyard to grill on

I had been looking forward to this item since it was announced back in the summertime I believe. As someone who lives in an apartment it is often difficult to have that outdoor grilling experience. LP and charcoal grills are typically banned for fire issues. So to see something that runs off a normal 110V outlet was really exciting. I was obviously curious with the smoking option as well. I finally decided to purchase one and give it a try after watching several YouTube videos and reviews. Here are my results so far. 1st steak, burned to a well done crisp. Luckily it was a cheap steak! 2nd attempt was smoked pulled pork, I would say the results were a solid 4/5 stars. Just the right amount of smoke flavor and done under 5 hours. 3rd attempt was a ribeye and although it was better than my first steak attempt, it was still a little overdone. The most difficult part is getting the heat plus timing down. Once I master that, this grill will be exactly what I needed. I have been very pleased overall with how easy it is to use and how fast you can actually cook on this appliance. I look forward to a whole summer of experimenting!

Amazing technology for cooking! I am s fan of the ninja products, and this grill is a proven winner. This is perfect in the smoked flavor! Cooking is breeze without worrying about the gas supply and the grill is perfect size for our small family! To start up a gas grill for cooking 3 hamburgers feels like a wasteful use of energy and the Ninja grill has a better flavor then our gas grill!

This little smoker grill is my new go-to. All summer, I'll be smoking brats and chicken to my heart's content. Pellets of several varieties work in this, so feel free to explore the flavorings available. Just use the included cup to avoid overdoing it.

Partner decided to buy this after doing some online research, and we are so glad he decided to get it. It works great; grilling is easy. It takes a minute to figure out what kind of pellets to use with certain meats/veggies. But we will get it figured out in no time. It doesn't take as long as grilling on a regular bbq. You still get the same taste, smoke, etc, just half the time.

    Culinary Idiots Cheat Code

This device can be a culinary idiots cheat code. First understand that the recipes that come with it aren't the best. If you are a complete culinary idiot like myself you can use those recipes to make something edible... Everything I did was overcooked and a bit "tight" as one internet pit boss put it. He recommends adjusting all of the Ninja recipes down about 25 degrees. It worked! The stuff I made after knocking around on the net a bit was really good! Did I mention that I was a culinary idiot? The only other complaint I have is that Ninja claims that you can only use their own branded pellets which can be a little pricey. This myth has been thoroughly debunked and some companies out there even make wood chips specifically for the Woodfire grill. At the end of the day the ease of use, ease of maintenance and cleaning, and the quality of the food that you can prepare are so strong that I cannot deduct any points for these 2 oversights. Another cool tool Ninja. From a guy who can't cook and knows it; Thank you.

The Ninja Woodfire grill has a bit of cult status. Lots and lots of YouTube and other internet presence. The grill is better than a cult thing because it can solve real problems for folks who love outdoor grilling and smoking but can't use the "real" thing because of location, age, family size, and so forth. -Yes, it is pricy, but well made and weather resistant. -No, it cannot be used indoors. -Yes, it is very easy to clean. -No, you shouldn't put the parts into the dishwasher. The aluminum grill plate as well as the coatings on the rest of the parts do not hold up to dishwasher detergents. -Yes, you can use other brands of pellets which are going to be a lot cheaper. -Yes, buy the cover! A final note; the included recipe book has lots of time/temperature mistakes. Use the book for methodology, but use Ninja's website recipes until you can spot the errors in the book.

A great way to break into smoking w/o getting a dedicated smoker. So easy to turn out delicious pulled pork and ribs with this great little unit. So happy I pulled the trigger on this one. Have only used it as a smoker so can't speak to the other features, but that's what I bought it for anyway.

Great grill for the smaller family with some issue

I am impressed with the grill and have done some very nice meals with it. I bought it in January 2023 and have used it frequently. It is kept covered on my deck. I clean it regularly and it’s is not that difficult to do so with the use of some of my oven cleaning products. Two issues of concern: 1. The stick free grill is no longer stick free and I need to use something like PAM to make the clean up easier. 2. The front plastic plate where you push to start cooking, change settings, etc is coming lose and I need to push it back to stay flat. Is that something others have experienced? And is there a fix?

Great piece of equipment. My husband just bought the generic pellets and they work just as great as the ninja pellets at a tenth of the cost. We’ve smoked 20 pork butts and they all come out perfect. It can be tricky if the meats are super tall because you can’t close the lid all the way, but this is a great way to start your meat smoking journey!

Have only used once since recent purchase but am impressed. No, you don't have to Ninja pellets exclusively. Lowes sells flavored ones much cheaper. Through away their recipe book and search the internet or Youtube for recipes. Their recipes are completely wrong.
