I would say this is one of the bigger Amiibos and I would find it a tasking to use on the NFC reader of a 3DS XL as well the Switch. I did wish for the Amiibo to include a Sherlock cap and vest and pipe to make it look ever better then just the hat. Makes him look naked to me when I see it.

This is a really nice amiibo to add to your collection. It was originally made to work with the Nintendo 3DS Detective Pikachu game. The amiibo itself is 2x to 3x the size of a normal amiibo. It still looks good in my amiibo collection. It just stands out, because of its size.

I didn't unbox him. That'd be crazy of me. This unit needs to stay caged in his box where he belongs before he wreaks havoc all over town. His base is cool. Its like a GPS map. He's just huge, I love him so much. His sculpt is great, everything about him is great.

If your looking at this you'll likely be getting it regardless just like I would of in your place but seriously, the only game it has a specific use with(it's an Amiibo so it will do something in most Amiibo enabled games) is a 3DS title. The base of the figure is about as wide as a 3DS XL and your supposed to place it on the bottom screen to use it... It's no wonder that all it does in the detective pikachu game is let you watch a few cinematics. Can you imagine having to lug it around with you if it had more gameplay related features.

If you're an amiibo collector this one is a must buy. He's as big as they say, and his design is great. May take up a bit of shelf space though!

This amiibo is pretty large- it's easily twice the height of the Smash Pikachu amiibo, but I didn't account for sheer volume. The base of the amiibo is larger than the 3DSes bottom screen. It's actually really impressive and my wife loved it.
