This amiibo is just great, If you own Shovel Knight (Wii U or 3DS) you need to buy this amiibo. This adds new things to the game and they are very functional and gives you a lot of fun. It adds CO-OP mode and Custom Shovel Knight and if want to hang some time with your friends you really need to buy this.

This figure has an amazing attention to detail, definitely won't regret buying this if you decide to get it. A ++ in my book.

Was excited to see an indie game get an Amiibo, especially that it was Shovel Knight!

I love Shovel Knight ever since I played the game on Playstation 4. I had to get this because it looks cool and the detail looks great! The paint job is not so sloppy like other figures. I have it proudly displayed on top of my printer. I don't even have a Wii but I still got the figure anyways.

The Shovel Knight amiibo is the latest non-nintendo character brought to us through a collaboration between Nintendo and Yacht Club GAMES. The amiibo is compatible with the self titled Shovel Knight game, which pays homage to classic games of the 16-bit era, but is still distinctly different and fun for the modern gamer. It's definitely one of the better quality made amiibo and the fact that it unlocks a 2-player cooperative mode (exclusive mode only for the Wii U version of the game) makes it a lot more useful than other amiibo functionalities. In addition, the features can also be used by scanning right through the box. There is no need to physically open the box and scan the Shovel Knight amiibo. This is a much needed feature that more amiibos need to have for those of us who like to collect our amiibo and use their features, but don't want to open their box up to get the features. Keep in mind that amiibos are only compatible with Wii U and 3DS systems. The Wii-U definitely has the advantage this time because of the exclusive 2-player mode for the Wii U version of Shovel Knight.

Out of all the amiibos released so far, this has to be the best one in terms of what it adds to the game. This lets you play as Custom Knight, who you can play with either solo or in the new co-op campaign. You don't buy upgrades like when you're playing as Shovel Knight, instead treasure you collect levels you up. Co-op play is hilarious and fun, and I was surprised by the amount of customization available (you can essentially convert yourself into Plague Knight if you want).

That pretty much says it all. Easily the best amiibo ever. Customize your character, co-op, and a entirely new way to play Shovel Knight!

The Shovel Knight Amiibo is another great looking one. It is a little larger than some of the other ones, but the craftsmanship is excellent. I am really glad to see that Nintendo is allowing other developers to get in on the Amiibo craze. Shovel Knight was a instant classic character right off the bat, it felt like he had been around for a long time. I couldn't find it on the shelf after the website said it should be in stock and an associate helped me locate it. They had it out back. Great experience and a great product.

Being a fan of Shovel Knight, one would not pass on getting this figure. But when Yatch Club games made the figure they also made it so that scanning it in your game adds even more gameplay by adding additional challenge modes. So for me it felt like it was a 2 for one. I get the figure & DLC for one price. Plus being a collector it was awesome that the figure didn't have the NFC blocking foil that is on the bottom of all of Nintendo's Amiibo, so I was able to keep this bad boy in it's original box.

This figure looks great on display. It is really well made and the matte finish is nice. Features in the game: -Unlocks co-op multiplayer in Wii U version (This was pretty fun) -Unlocks new challenge stages -Leveling up and getting new powers and abilities -Customizing your Shovel Knight character It's pretty much a DLC that you can display on your shelf and it is worth it.

Nintendo has done a beautiful job with the sculptural and vibrant paint work with their Amiibo figurines. From a person that still remembers action figures from my childhood that were a laughable cry from the characters they represented, these figurines are stunning and truly a 3D realization of the 2D characters we have adored in our favorite Nintendo games. If that wasn't enough, Nintendo seems to be adding on new ways to give fans bonus content to get excited about. With Shovel Knight in particular, I was literally bouncing up and down when I read on the back of the packaging that this amiibo unlocks the ability to play cooperatively with a second player (a green shovel knight) on the Wii U!! My husband and I are always looking for great video games to play together and I was really bummed that this was a single player game. Until now!! In addition, you get to customize your gear and take on exclusive challenge stages on Wii U and Nintendo 3Ds! Level up and unlock new powers! We both can't wait to play together and see all the bonus content Nintendo is offering. :D

The shovel knight amiibo looks great and in comes in a different package than any of the other licensed Nintendo Amiibos. However be forewarned that as of now shovel knight only works for the shovel knight game, it is not compatible with any other game as of me writing this review. It would have been nice if it was compatible with some other games. I'm surprised that he's not compatible with super Mario maker. However the Nintendo website states that he will be available for future games. Overall good Amiibo. He unlocks 2 player mode for the shovel knight game.

The detail on the Shovel Knight amiibo is superb. Better yet, you can even scan the figure while it's still in the box (goes for collectors)! Additionally, the DLC that you can use on the Wii U and 3DS make it a much worthwhile purchase. Get it and you won't regret it.

The Shovel Knight amiibo is wonderfully detailed and really looks great with my collection. And unlike too many of the other amiibo this one has some great functionality when used in-game. Two player co-op on the Wii U version is an awesome addition!

...in and of itself. Amiibos are cool, and the quality on them is top-notch. Their functionality is where they really shine though, and this one takes the cake. Granting the ability to play the game co-op on the Wii U is just an absolute dream.

Quality of third party software and controllers can be hit or miss, but this amiibo has all the detail and quality you expect of any of the others released thus far. It unlocks some cool stuff in Shovel Knight for Wii U and 3DS too!

This is a great figure with excellent detail. Plus, you can use the amiibo without taking it out of the box - a nice touch for collectors. The extra content for the game is good, as well. Must have for fans.

If you are a fan of the Shovel Knight game, then owning the amiibo is a must. Not only does it unlock content in the game, but it looks cool as a decoration too

A probably the best form of DLC around. Not only can you play co-op and have a custom knight on the WiiU version but you also get a sweet figure.

Some may complain of amiibo's limited functionality in this generation where 'toys to life' are all the craze. There's skylanders, Disney infinity, lego dimensions, and amiibo. You will either hate them or love them. This shovel knight amiibo was designed well and will do some nifty things when used in conjunction with either the wii U or 3ds versions of the shovel knight game. If you own either one of these versions, then you definitely want to pick up this high quality figure for it's good looks and added functionality.
