My grandson wanted this item for Christmas and I couldn't find one. Then Best Buy got some additional stock. Ordered ond and he had a ball using it. Smile on his face is truely priceless.

I'm an old school Mario fan, so I bought the Amiibo for decoration. I'll eventually get the Mario Maker game and use the Amiibo, but for now, he's chilling on my desk looking super cool.

The 8 Bit Mario amiibo is downright amazing. Not only is it quite hefty compared to all of the other amiibo, but the sculpt itself is awesome. By far my favorite amiibo available.

Have this guy proudly displayed on my shelf at home. The Mario Maker functionality is a bit limited (wish scanning it once permanently unlocked the mega mushroom), but is fun.

Nothing wrong can be said about Mario. He is a classic and timeless character. This Amiibo is huge and feels well worth the price paid. Looks awesome on my computer desk.

I love the sculpt on the figure. Nintendo did a very good job turning our beloved 8-bit character into a 3D collectable figure. They put a lot of effort trying to sculpt this figure, and they did a spectacular job. The pipe is very neat because it says Super Mario Bros 30th, which looks very cool. The main issue is that it should be used in games other than Super Mario Maker.

Nintendo should take heed and make more Amiibos like this! This is by far one of the coolest yet, I just wish the modern color was available outside of console bundles!

I bought this along with Mario Maker. Its just like any other amiibo in that it will unlock things in games. this one will turn you into a super large Mario when used.

This Amiibo is designed to be used with Super Mario Maker, though it does make a really cute figurine. Nintendo fans young and old will be delighted by the design.

I love the amiibos. This is another high quality figure, and i have yet to be disappointed by quality or by any defects. wish that best buy had the "modern" color

8 bit form of an amiibo? Yes please. Nintendo has done an exceptional job on making a different version of Mario and if you have to pick one, this is who to pick.

Quite solid for an amiibo (weight is similar to bowser), unique function with mario maker if you are looking for more than a collectible (supermushroom powerup)

If you already have a Mario amiibo of any sort, this one is.... kinda cool, nothing spectacular. Cool looking mold but nothing too interesting in terms of special functionality; just one little extra in Maro Maker. If you want a Mario amiibo, this is a great variant. If you already have a Mario amiibo, you need to be a big Mario fan like me to find this neat.

This amiibo looks awesome! It's a very nice addition to any nintendo collection and if you own super mario maker you can get extra unlocks in the game with it!

It is a great looking amiibo and even has the cool benefit of giving you the mega mushroom in super mario maker. If you like retro mario then this is for you!

Yes, this is exactly what you think it is. It's an Amiibo, and it does what it advertises. Art is unique, paint job is good, and overall it's a solid Amiibo.
