Great detail to the classic ex Soldier look of Cloud from FF7

Easily one of the best amiibo produced. Great as is, even better for customization.

He sits on my shelf next to Sephiroth, or occasionally gets moved to be with the Splat 3 Crew

While I’m glad I was able to buy one. They packaged it a mailer instead of a box and was damaged. This is the second time my amiibo was in a mailer and not a box.

The amiibo was shipped in a bag instead of a box, because of this the original package for the figure is badly damaged. Unacceptable for what should be a collectible.

Was sent in a bubble mailer and crushed, had to return. No protection in shipping.

For over 2 and a half years I've collected the Super Smash Bros. amiibo line, and I've waited patiently for the final 3 figures in the series to come out. They finally arrived recently and I have to say that they were worth the wait. The Cloud amiibo in particular is my favorite of the latest batch. It is extremely faithful to the character in-game model, which itself is faithful to the original 1997 design. It features great details that I feel wouldn't have been present had it been released towards the beginning of the amiibo line - Nintendo has stepped up their game as far as quality goes. The paint job is good and the shiny silver sword on his back is a nice touch. Overall the figurine is around 3.5-4 inches tall which is in-line with other Smash amiibo. In-game the amiibo works as it always has - you scan a character in and he becomes an A.I. that you can fight, level up, and save to the figurine. It's a really nifty feature because the A.I. actually learns how to fight against you. If it wasn't clear already, I highly recommend this amiibo, even if you are new to the Smash series or amiibo in general. I hope we get more amiibo of this quality in the future.

It works as advertised and looks great. There isn't a great reason to get this one over the Player 2 varient and vice versa outside of preference of costume since they have virtually identical poses.

This Cloud amiibo is absolutely fantastic! The level of detail on his Buster Sword and soldier uniform is incredible for its size. It’s a perfect tribute to such an iconic character and looks amazing on my shelf. Functionally, it's just as great. Scanning it into Super Smash Bros. was seamless, and training up a Cloud fighter has been a blast. Whether you're a Final Fantasy VII fan or a Smash completionist, this figure is a must-have. It really brings a 'Limit Break' level of quality to any amiibo lineup!

To any Final Fantasy fans and/or amiibo collectors, this is another great addition to the amiibo series. The figure brings back a lot of great memories of playing Final Fantasy VII on the Playstation 1. Cloud has a classic pose and the level of detail on the figure is outstanding. The quality of amiibo has continually increased after every release. Considering this is one of Nintendo's newest amiibo releases, it looks great! On top of that, it does provide some fun in game functionality for Super Smash Brothers on the Wii U and 3DS. Train Cloud and then fight him! Can you beat yourself?

As Nintendo has produced more amiibo the quality of the various figures has only got better. As one of the last Super Smash Brothers amiibo to be released this amiibo is great; the pose, details, and quality of the piece are amazing for a $13.00 (or less with Gamers Unlocked discount) collectible. And, this is Cloud, an iconic game character that is definitely one of the most memorable characters of a console generation and is still highly regarded two decades after the release of Final Fantasy 7.

For those new to the whole Amiibo thing, these are basically a combination of collectible figure and downloadable content (DLC). They tend to offer some sort of bonus to multiple games on the Nintendo Wii U, Switch, and New 3DS systems, often more if the amiibo is of a character from that particular game. Currently, Cloud's biggest use is as a trainable computer-controlled fighter in Smash Bros, and will probably remain so unless a Final Fantasy-related game makes its way to one of Nintendo's systems anytime soon. Still, as a figure, it's a very nice one. There's quite a bit of detail for a rather small figurine, and Cloud is decked out in his classic attire from Final Fantasy VII. Considering that most figures of this character are going to be expensive Japanese-produced ones, this is a pretty affordable choice for someone who doesn't want to break the bank. There's also a second figure of Cloud, sporting his clothing from Advent Children; I can't judge that one, though, as I do not have it myself. So I'd definitely suggest this if you're a fan of the character or the game.
