I was a little skeptical of getting this when it initially released, but this little Zelda Game & Watch is really awesome. The game that sold me on this little device was Link’s Awakening. The first Zelda is a fun little game to play and the 2nd one as many Zelda fans know is the one with mixed feelings, but having Link’s Awakening in there is just too notch. I do wish that Link’s Awakening was in color like the DX version was for the GameBoy Color, but for those of you who played it originally on the pea green screen from the original GameBoy are in for a nostalgic treat. If you’re having mixed feelings about getting it, I would just recommend you to get it while it’s still here. I’m definitely glad I just decided to get it. There is also a little surprise on the back of the system when you turn it on too. Won’t spoil the surprise though. Also I added a screen protector and silicone case on mine. It doesn’t scratch easy or anything but I actually play around with it pretty often and decided to keep it nice.

Love the Zelda series and Game & Watch since they are very nostalgic to me! The inclusion of the Game Boy version of Link's Awakening makes this G&W a must buy for any Zelda fans!!

All Zelda Fans Need To Add This To Your Collection! Yes, it is a novelty item, but you'll love to dive back into these games whenever you get some downtime. I plan on displaying this in my office with the awesome display stand that you make out of the packaging! But also great to have with me when I am waiting at my kids school to pick him up or anytime i have downtime for quick jump back into an Original Zelda Adventure. Battery life seems good. Still early to tell. But it charges off of USB-C. Feels great to hold, not cheap. Cool, tiny hidden feature on the hardware itself, you'll have to discover it yourself as I definitely had a "that's pretty cool" moment.

Is this the next Nintendo Switch? No…but is this little handheld the perfect device to take on a trip, or to kill a few minutes / hours during the day? Yes. The screen is a little small, but its bright and super clear. The sound is plenty for what you need, and youll find yourself humming along while slaying enemies. Definitely a cool little gaming handheld to keep layjng sround the house.

It makes a nice chime every hour and Link plays through the whole game while time passes. He always fights Ganon at noon (12:00) and if at any point you want to take over and start playing, you can. It’s a fantastic device and I highly recommend it.

Pretty fun little device! It works well as a desk clock and is compact enough to take with you if you're going to be stuck somewhere for a few hours and need some entertainment.

The games all seem to run perfectly. Which probably isn't a surprising feat nowadays. Here are my brief thoughts on the games: Zelda 1 - The original. Solid for sure, but it may feel dated if you've never played it. Zelda 2 - A challenging dungeon sidescroller. The combat is precise, and enemies are tough. But as you really sink into it you'll find it's worthy of the Zelda name. Link's Awakening - This game is probably the easiest to get into. It plays like Zelda 1 but with a lot of QoL improvements, lots more music, and a stronger narrative... As you're a castaway on a mysterious island and need to escape. Vermin - is also good, although I've noticed I spent the least amount of time playing it. LA and Vermin look the best on the screen as the sprites are bigger. Zelda 1 and 2 feels tiny by comparison. The Sound comes from a mono speaker on the left side. It's clear and can be pretty loud if you want it to. Something I like is how the saving works. with a button you can go to the game selection and the system auto saves your state from wherever you were. Making it a lot more convenient to stop if you need to. The best new thing about it I would say is the timer, as it doubles as a sort of mini game where you defeat enemies as Zelda II Link. It seems to be a different engine from the NES game, as tricks I would use to defeat enemies like the armored knights didn't work. After the timer ends calm music plays for a few minutes before resetting. So it's pretty ambient as far as timers go. The clock does what you'd expect and is pretty neat as well. As link slowly goes through abridged areas of the first game each hour. All in all this device is designed pretty well for quick bursts of play between breaks or when you have time to kill. If you've never played these Zelda games, I would say that this is a great place to learn what made the series memorable in the first place.

Absolutely love this little gadget. I grew up playing the original Zelda.mmand it remains my favorite in the series. The buttons are nice and Nintendo NES like. Don't let the small screen fool you. It's super bright and clear. I have terrible vision and I still have no issues seeing this. In case you didn't know, ZELDA 2 from the Nes and an old game and watch Zelda game are also included. The insert box has art on it and the back of the system has a triforce that lights up when turned on. A must have for all Zelda fans.

Love playing the Game and Watch because of the nostalgia it brings! Controls are great! Fast ship! All you could ask for!

I bought this to have some entertainment while on the go and it's turned out amazing. A great pocket device.

This is a great collectors items. If you like Zelda, you should pick this one up. It goes perfect with any display. Only problem is it should have been $10 cheaper.

I love this thing. I also have the SMB one from last year and, while I like that one better, this one is superb too. I just think SMB works better on such a small screen. This is gonna be a fun one to have on my desk.

I love this Game & Watch series. This has the first 2 Zelda games in it and feels like youre playing the actual game on Nintendo. The graphics are exactly how they were on the NES. Great but for $50 and well worth it.

This is a great little collectors item for Zelda Fans. Its got Links Awakening and a cool clock feature. Of course I dont play on mine because its more of a collectors item and display! Make an Ocarina of Time one, we have the technology!

Honestly, I came in with low expectations, but I really love this as just a small clock in my office! I use Windows and like to keep the taskbar hidden, so I've placed this Game & Watch below my monitor and use it to check the time and just spacer out watching it here and there. I've taken a picture of that in action (ignore the poor cable management!) and it switches between screens and Link is constantly moving around and fighting enemies and it makes it fun to just check the time here and there. Honestly, I'm glad I got it for that reason alone! Everything else feels like a nice bonus! It easily lasts a full workday with the screen on if charged overnight.

Excellent device and collectors item. My kid is enjoying it too. We can take it on the go and it keeps him busy. I do wish it had a save state feature and the Dpad is a little small for my thumbs.

Brings me back to my childhood. Very cool to have the Game and Watch design with a bunch of classic Legend of Zelda games to play. I to use it on my desk as a clock and then pick it up and play on my breaks.
