Good way to save some money

This 3DS system is great. Love the graphics and sound is incredible. On the other hand, by purchasing the refurbished model, there are some things to know. Even though the website says that the 2GB SD card is included, mine did not come with one. Also, the AR cards are not included so you have to download them online. And finally, if you are a Club Nintendo member, do not by this item because it has no PIN number to register it online. I even emailed Nintendo about that and I would have to send in the UPC barcode from box to register it. The only thing is that the 3DS does not come in the regular box. So the only good thing about buying this one is the savings. That's it.
I would recommend this to a friend

The console has obvious signs of wear

Just received my refurbished Nintendo 3DS in the mail. Very disappointing - the product looks used. Now, this isn't the first time i purchased refurbished electronics, but it is the first time the signs of wear are so obvious. The console is scratched at the corners. The bottom has Mickey written in permanent marker that's impossible to rub off. And - what topped the cake - the stilus has been chewed on by the previous owner... So, no, I didn't get as far as to actually see if it works. It's going back. My point is, if you are thinking of buying it as a gift, keep in mind that cosmetic defects may be present.
