This is a fun little distraction of a game, requiring you to complete bite-sized challenges pulled out of various NES games published by Nintendo. It would be a perfect mobile game (it even has a 1 - 3 star ranking for each challenge) if physical buttons weren't so necessary. Most challenges don't have you performing actions that you couldn't have done on the original games, but there are a set of remix challenges that add elements that never appeared on the NES. This makes up a smaller portion of the overall game than I would have liked though. You should be able to tell by now if this is the sort of thing you might enjoy, but other elements that might change your decision about a purchase are the actual NES games represented and the total amount of game play. Personally, I preferred the games in the second set over the first. Stuff like Baseball, Tennis, and Ice Hockey aren't Nintendo's best work, so I don't know why they're included. But taking the entire bundle into account, you should find a good number of games you enjoy. This also means that finishing every challenge will probably take quite a while. I would estimate 10 to 20 hours of play, depending on your skill level. Last but not least is the price. At $40, I found it difficult to justify buying this. After all, I played most of these NES games back in the day. But at half that price, it makes for a fun way to revisit fun little snippets of those old games for a quick fix. It's easy to pick up and play it for a few minutes or a few hours.

NES Remix pack includes the NES Remix 1 & 2 content that were previously released. It's a great game that gives a giant sense of nostalgia with mini games concerning all the classic nintendo characters. You will have many hours of fun as you try to complete every challenge available.

you cant beat the price on this game. well worth the 20 bucks. a must buy at this price.

So this is just a collection of challenges of sections from NES games put together. You don't get to play the full games (except sort of Super Mario Bros. but going right to left and as high jumping Luigi). There are some remix challenges that put a twist on things by combining things from different games or adding some extra effects to make the challenges harder. You're ranked on time for each game and then given a 0-3 stars which are used to unlock more challenges. The time limits for getting the highest rank are much stricter in NES Remix 1 than in the sequel. In addition, some of the games in NES Remix 1 are rather outdated and arguably not very fun (Golf for example). It's fun if you enjoy playing NES games or if you like games that challenge you to go for the high score. For $20 this pack is better than buying the two games on the eShop separately.

Me and my wife enjoy playing this game. It takes back in time. Love the nostalgic feeling of 80's games.

Very fun addicting game. Some of the levels are really challenging, sort of old school kind of hard.

My favorite thing about this game is the ability to pick it up and play through a few rounds quickly without a huge time commitment. Great when you need to kill a little time.

This is an epic throw back twist of NES games. I love it. Highly recommended. Must have Wii U game!

This game is an absolute must for fans of retro Nintendo game. There are so many games here!

It's like taking all the games I played as a child and turning them up to 11. Super fun!

This game is pretty fun. it is nice that all the challenges are short so you can play in a limited time. it seems to be more fun for the older generation that actually played these games when we were younger. my kids like it, but the games are new to them so they are still learning how to play them. some of the challenges are pretty easy though.

If you're a child of the 80s that fondly remembers these original NES classics, this is a nostalgic journey back to your past. Great variations on the old-school titles with interesting new challenges, the low price and happy-go-lucky experience makes for a fantastic break from the more serious games of the modern age.

When my 7 yr old son purchased this we thought it was going to include the original games that I played as a kid but it does not. It is short mini gmaes based on the original games that were on NES. They are lots of fun and brings back memories but do not purchase expecting the original untouched games.

Be forewarned, this collection does not include full versions of all the titles listed on the box. This collection includes a bunch of mini games using those titles. You'll typically play a 30-60 second challenge and try to earn a star ranking on each (1-3). It's a lot of fun for what it is

I like this game. It's lots of mini challenges of the Nes games listed. I like it because it's easy to pick up and play in short bursts rather than having to spend lots of time getting to the later stages in the games

The NES Remix packs take classic Nintendo games and twist them into mini-games that play in short bursts. The challenges vary in difficulty and there is pleanty of fun to be had working your may through nostalgia.

Fun challenges for all the old school classics. Feels like playing the NES classics but with an objective. Good variety. Kids should enjoy it too.

the controls are sluggish at best and do not respond well when it comes to playing these retro games on the wii u dont know why R/D couldnt look further into before putting it on the market.

My youngest bought this game basically on a whim. He wanted to play some of the classics and thought the price was worth his money. He played it pretty hot and heavy for a few weeks and then it slid to the side while moved onto some of the newer titles. Evidently, he flew through some of the classic games quickly while others lost his interest before he got too deep into them. He'd never really played the original versions so he was disenchanted with the reincarnations, but he still appreciated the games for their "retro" quality. He bought it for $20 and said he'd do it again and has recommended it to his friends so it couldn't have been all bad!

I thought this would be much better, although having Super Luigi makes it worth while. This is a great way to show a younger generation games we played in the late 80s to 90s.
