This system has been great. The games will entertain you for hours and the versatility of being able to play as a handheld and on the TV is great. Would recommend.

I think it's a fantastic console that offers flexibility and fun and Its ability to switch between handheld, tabletop, and TV modes makes it incredibly versatile. While the internal storage is limited but except that everything works well for me.

So I finally bought my kids their first gaming system that is theirs. I'm pretty sure that they wouldve played it non stop from Christmas to now if I would let them. Great selection of games, its portable, and it can connect to your TV!

The Switch is a great device, I put off buying one for a very long time but I don't regret the decision at all. The screen and sound are great, the design is attractive, it's just a solid system with a lot of good game options. Based on info from friends with the older version, the battery life improvement in the current version is dramatic. Depending how much I'm playing, I can get through a day without charging. If you do plan on playing for hours when the Switch isn't docked, you may want to consider some kind of ergonomic grip as an add-on as it can cause some thumb/wrist strain (depends on the person), more than just holding a regular controller. You'll probably also want to spring for the Nintendo Online subscription, but it's a pretty good deal and gives you access to a fun retro game library too.

Had been waiting for the Switch to be in stock, finally was able to pick one up and couldn't be happier! I travel a lot so it is great for flights and long waiting periods in airports etc, also very good plugged in. Overall great console can't wait for some more games to release.

You can never go wrong with the OG switch. I still play it to this day and would buy again.

The Switch is great. Not nearly as powerful as XB1 or PS4, but fantastic for: Nintendo games, indie/retro games, portability, get-togethers, etc. I have a dock in 3 different rooms of my house as well as work, so anybody can play their games wherever. It's so convenient to be able to play Smash Bros or Overcooked with friends in my living room, take a little break w/ some Tetris in the office, continue playing an RPG when I'm stuck with some downtime elsewhere, etc. There's more than a few games I probably wouldn't have gotten around to finishing without this convenience.
Nintendo has a lot of great games to play. This particular switch went to my grandparents, who already have 500+hr on Animal Crossing.
I'd say Nintendo nailed it this time, if they just had a good D-pad JoyCon variant.

Great gaming console! The biggest sale point of this game console is its "convertible" feature, which means you can take it out and play it like a handheld game device, while it can be docked and output to TV when it is at home. When it is in "handheld" mode, the screen is touchable as well, like a mini tablet.
To be fair, it's not the most powerful and nicest screen output like 4K you can find from competitor like PS4/5. So, if you are a hardcore video game fans that quality of screen output is your first priority, this is not for you.
The screen output is HDMI 1080p, but it's more targeted for people who are looking for a versatile solution, can be played handheld and docked to output to big TV screen. Of course enjoy lots of motion games with the joycon.

So I haven’t owned a system since the PS2 So this was a severe upgrade for a Christmas present. I tested 2 games on the switch to make sure it worked before it was put away until December and I have to say it is the best thing I’ve ever played on. The two games I tested out was Legend of Zelda:BOTW and the my hero academia fighting game the second one. The joycons I believe that’s what they are called work flawlessly, the colours and display were amazing and out of everything just an amazing buy didn’t die quickly either which was a plus. I was going to get the lite version but my best friend is partially blind so I got the actual switch that sets up to the TV and the test out was great she was able to play fine and not get close to my tv. So this is perfect:)

So glad we purchased the Nintendo switch for my 13 year old. The portability is amazing and the games have been fun as well. We purchased the protection plan due to the many parts and the higher risk to an accidental break when traveling with it. Great system, highly recommend.

A great system to have if you are looking to play games on the go or not wanting to connect to a tv to play. You can play lots of old school NES, SNES games and current gen games as well. You cant go wrong with this system.

Is the NSwitch the best console in the market?

I bought, almost at the same time, a Nintendo Switch and a PS4 (not the pro), for those two are the consoles that better appealed to my gamer needs, and all I can say is that the PS4 is starting to get dusty. The Nintendo Switch simply has something the other don’t: play whenever and wherever you want! It’s library is growing by the minute, getting better and better, and their exclusives are beyond words. As a gamer, if you are on a very tight budget, I would recommend the Nintendo Switch because it combines the best of home consoles and portable ones. If you are not on a budget, get a Switch and a PS4 (and perhaps a gaming pc). Exclusives creates success for consoles, and those two have them. But nothing is perfect. The Nintendo Switch comes with a very disappointing 32gb of storage, so a SD card is gonna be a must, and the battery life could be better. But even woth this cons, this console has the potencial to become my favorite console ever.

Look, seeing this finally in stock after three months was a godsend. I was starting to see prices going for at least $400-500 for one. So, when I found this in stock in best buy, I just threw money at them. It arrived on time and I was very happy for my purchase!
I wanted to get this one as it has a better battery life than the older version.
On a side note, I would recommend getting (at least) a screen protector & maybe the pro controller if you are going to game heavily. I used the joycons for a couple of days and they feel too thin for my tastes. They're fine, but I feel like I'm going to break the A button.
I'm just happy I finally got one, and if you're looking for a regular Switch and have the money, buy it immediately because it would go out of stock within hours.
