It's a very, very, VERY well made Wii Remote, but for the $40 price tag, it may not seem like its worth the money. But when you think about it, it comes with Wii Motion Plus built inside. A regular Wii remote AND a Wii Motion Plus add-on, totals OVER $40, so this is a better solution than buying a new remote and an accessory.

Wanted a newer Wiimote with Motion Plus to pair with Wii U system. First party controllers are the way to go as far as quality goes, though you have to pay a premium.

Good remote and not much has changed with the remote over the last version. Not that great to have to have multiple types of remotes for games to use. Works well and the interactive games it is great.

One great thing about Nintendo: their limited edition remotes and consoles have the same price as their regular counterparts. This is the reason why I picked up this remote. I needed Wii Remote + with the build in sensor, and why pick up a plain white one when I could have a Mario one? The remote functions as it is meant to, it works fine for typical party games. The only downside is that it is not that great for action games, such as Smash Brothers, or shooting games. However, there are other alternatives for that. This remote serves its function as a great party game tool, and it looks nice.

What can I say? For the traditional Wii controller, it's the best out there. Works great on the Wii-U. If you want to play games that require the Wii Remote, this is what to get. The only thing I don't like is that for many of the newer titles, it is lacking buttons, even with the nunchuck. You may need to use motion to execute moves or abilities when you rather be pressing something. This can lesson your gaming experience on titles that were not really designed with the Wii Remote as the ideal option. Make sure you research the best controller for the game you will be buying.

Good remote for simple games. Wouldn't bother upgrading your original wii remotes to the plus model but if you need an additional remote this is the one to buy.
