Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with Nioh 2's engaging gameplay, compelling story, and the inclusion of a PS5 upgrade. Many also appreciate the game's value for its price and the variety of weapons and action-packed sequences. However, some players find the game's difficulty to be a significant challenge. The lack of adjustable difficulty settings is a common point of criticism.

Decent game, but very difficult.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good graphics, also very difficult. They say the first one is easier, but I’ve never tried it. Perhaps I will.

Wonderful Soulslike
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wonderful Soulslike game. If you are into the brutal gameplay of things like Demon's Souls or Dark Souls, you are probably going to like this. In theme and tone, it's closer to Sekiro given the more samurai like setting, but know this is much harder than something like Ghost of Tsushima. It can be just as rewarding, but it's a very different experience.

Great Sequel to Nioh
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nioh is a very difficult but satisfying game once you master it. The combat is very fluid and responsive and the RPG elements allow you to create your own combat style. The only gripe I have is the direction the game decided to take with transforming to a yokai "monster" to gain new powers temporarily. I prefer the traditional combat from the first game. Other than that Nioh 2 is a very solid sequel.

The best combat system yet
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nioh 2 improves the original, which was itself a great game. The controls are just so smooth and responsive. While the combat system might seem like it be a bit overwhelming in the beginning, you pick it up in no time. Interesting new enemies and bosses and improved story over the original. Highly recommend this title.

Nioh 2 is amazing!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nioh 2 has fast-paced melee action like other popular games such as the Souls Born series and is fantastic for the challenge-hungry players out there.

Nioh 2
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is really good, but you will need to learn patience. Blocking, dodging, and monitoring your status bars are incredibly important. Be prepared to start and restart levels frequently; however, this can make it even sweeter when you are successful. So, believe the reviews that speak to the difficulty level, but do not let that discourage you from giving it a try.

Tough as nails, tons of fun.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is brutally difficult. But when you overcome each challenge to make it further than you did previously, if yields an incredible feeling of satisfaction that washes over you. Graphics are amazing, gameplay is addictive. I highly recommend Thai title if you're up for a challenge.

Great combat, unrealistic difficulty curve
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved Nioh 1 and thought the game did an outstanding job expanding upon the foundation of Soulborne. Having multiple stances is refreshing. But one underlying issue was the artificial difficulty that pitted you against unrelentless bosses. We play these games because of the challenge, but Team Ninja thinks challenge means unfair difficulty. I still solo'd the game. Nioh 2 though takes extreme difficulty to another level of absurdity. Not only are bosses resistant to fatigue, they spam every move they have within seconds of one another. And Nioh 2 introduces the Dark Realm where the entire area/arena slows stamina regeneration. The game handicaps you for half its run time in the Dark realm. And if anyone know what Yokai realms are, enemies seem to drop them more than I remember in the first game, and they occupy the dark realm as well. Outside of the difficulty issues, the level design is much better than the first, more enemies variety, flawless gameplay, and content for days. The story is still a convoluted mess told in cool "10 second" cutscenes a piece it feels. Team Ninja still did not fix the inventory and loot management system. Selling, dismantling, and sacrificing unused gear/weapons is a chore upon itself. Honestly if you are a newcomer, this game is very confusing especially with the new yokai abilities. I beat the first and still find this game to be information overload. Skills trees, excessive loot and accompanying stats, lore illustrations, stances, etc. It is a lot to take in, yokai burst/abilities. At this point I'm level 76 and feel comfortable with everything, but it is overwhelming in the beginning. This will not be enjoyed by casuals by the slightest. I like the challenge so bring it on, but for Nioh veterans complaining the dlc was an unfair mess...you will find Team Ninja just doesn't understand why people like these games. Unfair difficulty is not it bro!!! I. have a love/hate relationship with Nioh 2.
