I have not beaten this game yet. But so far I like the action and the open-world aspects of the game.

This is another game that tries to make the Dark Souls formula their own. If you are itching for more souls or a take on Onimusha from back on PS2, this should be up your alley. The asking price is worth it as you will spend dozens of hours getting through it all. Another great Sony exclusive title.

I was rather surprised by Nioh. The gameplay is really smooth and several hours in still enjoying it!

This is an awesome PS4 game I would recommend to any Dark Souls, Ninja Gaiden, or action RPG fan. I can't wait to get a PS4 Pro so I can play with the enhancements.

this has been a fun samurai hack and slash game, although the difficulty can be challenging at times

If you like the Dark Souls series than this title will be right up your allie. I think this game falls more in line with Bloodborne. It has similar combat and pace. Biggest difference, Japanese falklaure and cool Samurai/Ninja weapons and armor. Great game. However, Still love Bloodborne a lot better. I say buy both and have the time of your life. In conclusion, I strongly recommended it. Go pick it up loosers.

This magical RPG set in feudal Japan is a best seller for a reason -- buy it. It won't disappoint.

At times this game is absolutely brutal, so I recommend making sure you are mentally prepared before playing, otherwise you might break a controller or two. I hadn't ever played a game quite like this before, and I thought it was incredible. It has a LOT of depth, it is very friendly to many types of play styles, as there is no one way to play this game. If you find a boss too tough, you can either grind to level up, or choose different tactics. There is also a lot of strategy in this game, as you (usually) can't just run in swords swinging and hope to win, you often times have to come up with a battle plan and tactics before taking on a bunch of enemies, then there are other times when the game says "forget that, we're gonna throw a bunch of enemies at you out of nowhere" and you must improvise if you want a shot at survival. A game I absoulutely LOVE and would recommend to anyone looking for a challenge.

As someone who has been obsessed with the Dark Souls franchise, Nioh struck a chord with me. The fast paced action and intense boss encounters were difficult, but a high skill ceiling means there is tons of replay value for those willing to experiment with different skill and weapon combinations. The existence of three different fighting stances, each favoring different types of attacks, adds depth and flow to combat even once players have found a weapon they truly love, and the crafting and loot drop system means there is always room for improvement. Once players discover the weapon, stance, and ability combination that suits them, the game really starts to sing, and although the visuals can sometimes leave something to be desired, it's hard to beat Nioh on gameplay. Overall, Nioh is a fantastic game, and for players looking for a strategic and fast paced action game to add to their PlayStation 4 collection, look no further than Nioh.

Great game, very similar to God of War. Bosses are hard to defeat. Great graphics. After playing GOW for so long, It is refreshing to see different kinds of monsters. Highly recommended. Can’t wait to play #2.

Innovative game with an interesting ninja spin. Just getting started but it seems fun so far.

I've been waiting for a game like this for about 15 years. The action and exploration has a hint of Dark Souls/Bloodborne but feels more arcade or action oriented than strategic, although strategy does play a good part in surviving the demon infested feudal Japan. Knowing which weapon that best fits a situation is essential but you also need to know what stance you should use. You can hold your weapon high to emphasize strength and attack power while sacrificing speed, or mid for a mix between speed and attack, or hold your weapon low for quick attacks and quick defense at the cost of attack power. You also have Guardian Spirits which are basically customized super moves with a few bonuses and buffs, and you can customize your gear at the blacksmith. Haven't played co-op because none of my friends enjoy a challenge but if you've finished Dark Souls 3 and still have an itch to scratch, or if you enjoy Ninja Gaiden and Onimusha, pick this up. Well worth the money

This game is incredible a must have title for 2017 I'm really enjoying this game a lot the different weapons and armor to use and wear I recommend this game the graphics on the ps4 Pro on my Samsung SUHD KS8500 are Amazing

If you like bloodborne than this game is for you.Just keep in mind it’s not an easy game.
