Great mechanics but frustrating progression system

It has the weight of dark souls but with a few interesting mechanics to make it different. Where the game fails is just many systems are in place to progress your character. The amount of ways to improve your character is mind-numbing and detracts from the core gameplay. Why is there a Diablo like loot system with 8 other progressions systems NIOH? JUST CHOOSE ONE!
