If you are looking for a simple way to be able to mount and dismount your phone quickly in the car and that can mount to a pretty small surface, this is the device for you (Also, if you don't mind having a thin metal plate on the back of your phone or case). So first things first, if you have and want to keep wireless charging don't put the plate on your phone, I put it on my case so that I can just take the case off when i get to work and use the wireless charger. Second, don't wipe the area with your thumb, use the included alcohol pad, the oil on your skin will make the pad not stick, I happen got on amazon and got a replacement sticky tab and I was good to go. The magnet is strong and my s10+ in a medium duty case had zero issues sticking too it. this is the perfect type of mount if your are in and out of your car a lot, I had a mount that suction cupped to the bottom and you squeezed into, every once in awhile I would be to forceful and it would come off, other times I would screw up the width and have mess with that a little, this one I just get in, slap it on and go. One last thought, with a thin case you can mount the metal plate on the phone and put the case of it, with a medium duty case it stuck but if I went over too big of a bump it would drop off. You can buy spare metal plates everywhere on the internet if you feel like trying a few different ways or switch phones at some point. The Nite Ize - Dash Mount Steelie ball is the best car smartphone holder I have ever seen! It is so simple yet so effective at easily holding your phone. There is a small round metal plate you attach to the back of your phone or phone case. There is a magnetic ball that attaches to a flat plastic section of your vehicle dash. Both pieces attach with very strong 3M adhesive which is included. The last part is a another magnet that has a silicone center that attaches to the ball. This silicone piece allows rotation once you attach your phone with plate attached. Make sure you find a place to mount the ball where you can see the phone once attached. It holds very securely. This is a new design Nite-Ize has added, and it’s a very smart addition. I have a friend who has an older version which has the magnetized silicone piece attached directly to the phone and this attaches to the ball. The problem with this is that you have to be very careful if you put your phone in your pocket because it can easily wreak havoc with your credit cards in your pocket with the phone! This new version with a non-magnetic plate attached to your phone completely alleviates this problem. I highly recommend this Nite Ize - Dash Mount. And their customer service is the best ever!

The item itself looks very well made. I tried to follow the instructions very carefully as this will be only the second adhesive type car mount that I have ever used. I typically don't like applying anything that may leave any type of residue on my car. I decided to give it a go. First I used the alcohol wipes to thoroughly clean the surface on the dash where I would be placing the ball base, and also the back of the phone case where the magnet would be applied. Once everything was clean, I placed all of the parts in place. The magnet is very strong, and my phone stuck onto it immediately. The only downside is that my phone (a 6.7 inch phone) would occasionally droop down and not stay in place. All in all, not a bad device. I still don't like the idea of using adhesive because where I live it tends to hit the high 90's low 100's, and well, from my experience the adhesive tends to lose its grip. We will see how things go a few months from now.

Product continuously fell off the location where I set it on the dashboard.

Worked great..for about 5 weeks. I'm just out of the return period, and the magnetic grip magically disappeared. This was a lightly used unit, just a few times a week for 20 min drives..and the phone is gently used. Both parts are clean and firmly attached. I've reached out to the company for support, and hope they can help. I was 2 days from buying a second unit for my wife's vehicle.

this is a very simple, but easy to use mount that holds your phone well. This works like many of the magnetic type mounts that are on the market. There is a very thin metal plate that you attach to the back of your phone/case, and then a ball mount that attaches to you dash, or wherever you plan on putting it. You simply just place your phone over the mount and the magnet grabs it and holds it in place. The plate that goes on the back of your phone is VERY thin compared to other brands. However, just know that this will block wireless charging from working. The mount holds strong and stays in position. Works very well.

Dose not work. The sticky part does not state at all or with the hold an iPhone.

The Nite Ize - Dash Mount works great. Easy to mount in your vehicle and it holds exceptionally well. Now I always know where my phone is while I'm in the car. I don't have to worry about it sliding or falling. It's great for keeping your phone within a comfortable reaching distance if you need to access it while driving without taking your eyes off the road. The design is outstanding. Very sturdy frame, I look forward to using this Nite Ize - Dash Mount for years to come.

This is a simple take on a magnet mount that adhere to the dash instead of blocking a vent. The mount is smaller than I thought, and it stuck firmly to the dash. I was worried about the weight my 11 Pro causing it to tilt. This does happen, but not often enough for me to stop using this mount. It’s sleek and unobtrusive, and it does a great job holding the phone at whatever angle is needed.

I liked this mount, looks slim and strong, very easy to install, steps are very clear on the manual. Can be placed at different convient spots, works for all cars. I do not see any issue with this, but just want to bring up onething, usually i do not use phone protector guards, I was not ready to stick this thing on back of the phone, so i took phone cover and then used it :).
