While a solid budget scooter, the 300X polished any rough edges. I also have the similar priced G2 Max and this feels crisper in the performance and very comfortable riding. I am a fan of the brand

First, getting spare parts for this scooter, and its sister scooter the 300P, is impossible. All of the parts are sold out, and upon contacting NIU directly they stated that they have no estimate for resupplying them. Second, the handlebars are nowhere near wide enough for the turn signals to be visible around your hands, especially if you're wearing gloves like you should be when riding anything. Third, the brake cables loosened on their own after less than three months after buying it, and I have to re-tighten them every month or so. One of the more important issues I have also recently discovered is the NIU app. Several times when I go to unlock the scooter using the app, it will fail to unlock after connecting via Bluetooth. I had to call NIU and have them unbind the scooter in each instance because they updated something and it broke other stuff. I have been stranded at work several times because it takes 16 hours for the support team to respond as they only operate out of China. The icing on the cake, too, is the fact that Geek Squad Protection was not available on this scooter when I bought it and it is now, so I can't even get warranty support on it. Get the Segway Max G3 instead of this one, at least the support for them is able to help in a timely manner.

Firmware update messed up the settings so they now reset every time you connect to the scooter. NIU tech support has not been helpful. Keep telling me they haven't heard back from the programers. Once they do they'll let me know. That's going on over a month now with that all waiting response each time.
