At first, I was really surprised when I heard some of the reviews and recommendations for this game. So I ended up getting a copy and wanted to try it out for myself. And honestly in retrospect, I was really impressed! I mean from flying your starship to engaging with other lifeforms across multiple planets, I never knew I would end up spending numerous hours of gameplay while continuing my journey to explore other planets and galaxies! Overall, I totally recommend this to others who want to try this out, especially if you like sci-fi as well as enjoy exploring, creating, and/or combat!

    Solid port

The game is amazing and this port brings almost everything that's been added in updates. The only things that are missing are the settlements and multiplayer. The game runs really well considering the lower power of the hardware. Pop in is an issue with elements such as ground cover as you walk. Blasting holes in the ground is unresponsive at times and you have to keep blasting until the engine registers it but I believe that this can be improved in updates. Graphics and textures aren't what you get on the other platforms either but the game is really solid and fun as is. I would recommend this to any fan of no man's sky!

excellent game for it does/ has everything. crafting, base building, space / planet exploring, trading, space combat with ships. land combat with weapons. very richly layered experience. negative is the game crashes regularly. but continues where last saved which is very often. so no progress is really lost. just time to restart.

the graphic on the switch version are amazing! Ive played the ps4 version for years now and can say this version is just the same experiences! i have to mention tho there is no multiplayer atm but with it being a mostly offline experience it’s rly no biggie especially when ir exploring deep space

I have been waiting for this and so shocked this massive game plays so well on Switch. Honesty-time: framerate is choppy. Oh is it choppy! But for some reason I forgive it because it’s soooo massive in scope that I am grateful to even get it on-the-go. And for me, it doesn’t stutter too much to make me not wanna play at all. Lowest I’ve seen this is 30 bucks on Switch and I totally think it’s worth it at that price!!

Wish I could speak on how the port compares to the other console ones but so far this game is great. Really good time waster for anyone who is into resource management games with a huge emphasis on exploration. Runs well enough on Switch. Have only had one instance where there was a substantial frame rate drop but that was resolved fairly quickly

Awesome game! At first I was not sure how good a port of this game to the Switch would be, but the graphics, gameplay, and overall experience after 30 hours of playtime has certainly exceeded my expectations. Other than the obvious graphics scale-down, the most notable difference between the Switch port and the Playstation/Xbox/PC version is the online capabilities. The Switch version is 100% offline. Depending on your personal preference and playstyle, this may or may not be an issue. Overall, this is an amazing game!

For a game that didn’t have a great start, the updates over the years have made it really fun and satisfying to play. Although the Switch version is single player only, it is awesome to be able to play ‘No Man’s Sky’ on the go.

Bought No Man's Sky when it originally came out for the xbox...it wasn't all that impressive back then, but now after so many updates the game runs great, has all the originally promised features and looks and plays great on the Switch. And it's HUGE!!!!

I absolutely love this game with the new updates they released recently (October, I think of 2022). There’s so much to explore and it runs really well on the Nintendo Switch considering how massive the game is. When mining ores though there is a bit of lag making it kind of annoying. But you have to give your mining beam a break anyways so it’s not too bad. There’s so much to do on this game and so many different ways to play that it’s totally worth the price of the game because of the endless worlds to explore. It also goes on sale in the e-shop so if you want this game but want to get it for a deal just keep an eye on sales in the eshop or through best buy or other places. You can find this game on all other platforms too and no matter which you choose, you won’t regret it.

This might not be my favorite game (gameplay gets way too repetitive for me, however I can't complain about the switch version, it's beautiful and I have no idea how they got this game to run so well on the switch.

I bought this on the Switch because I had heard the performance was surprisingly solid. There are no multiplayer features on this version but everything else is still there. Sad to say however that there are certain actions nearly making the game unplayable. In particular the terraforming. Every action with the terraforming tool takes at least a FEW SECONDS to take effect. I don’t recommend this version unless to plan to ignore all the base building stuff completely.

Fun game for 8+ lots of mechanics. Gets broing and repetitive but can build patience and skills. The visuals are great even on a switch. Especially for on the go offline gaming.

I’ve purchased this game 3 times now. (Ps5, switch, pc). It runs incredibly well on switch, can easily sink hundreds of hours into exploring.
