Hi there, the Nokia 225 is sold unlocked but is only compatible with select few carriers (AT&T is not listed). You can find the full list here: https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_us/nokia-225-4g?sku=16QENB11A01. We strongly recommend customers to check Nokia's website for carrier compatibility before purchasing for their chosen carrier. NokiaMobileprofile1

Cons-It is not like the old Nokias that could be dropped This one when dropped the back comes off. Thats it for cons. Pros-My friend has t mobile and uses an iPhone X she has no service for calls or messages at my house. I live in the boonies. This phone on t mobile has full bars and receives messages. This phone is better than her iPhone X for calls and messages. Maybe because this is a phone not a computer that makes calls. Phone only works with att and t mobile. $15 a month unlimited talk text 2.5gb t mobile att least expensive plan was $30 unlimited talk text 2gb. I switched from my iPhone 12 mini on Verizon to this for fun but you know what I am keeping it. IT WORKS.

Looks sleek for not being a smart phone, but still allows internet connection (which I have not enabled for my 12 yr old). Does have some old style games. Keeps its charge fairly well. Works with Tmobile prepay being an unlocked phone. My child complains that the ordering of messages isn't right. No emojis on this style of messaging.

Gdod basic and simple phone, no wifi so in order to make and receive calls you need to go to "roaming" did connect to Mint mobile easily. Hope I won't have a problem with the roaming thing. just use the phone to make/receive calls.

Great option if you're not looking for a smart phone. Does all the simple functions like calls, texts, and alarms. And the battery lasts a very long time which is nice.

This phone takes me back to my late teens! I got it for my son for Christmas, since he had lost the privilege of smart phones. This phone is very basic, sturdy, and easy to use (unless you are my 13 year old!) I would certainly buy again if needed, setting up through my carrier was super easy too!

The price is exceptional. The phone is functional. One downside is that it doesn't pair with my car's bluetooth so I do not have hands free calling.

Gteat phone for a grouchy, 88-year-old man.

Best feature is the fact that volume controls ARE NOT on the side of the phone -- always in the way. Software is the most user friendly of all phones I have used. Keys work easily. But I do not do much texting. Phone is very light and is just what I was looking for in a cellphone, Sim installation was very difficult -- for me.

I was told it was compatible with the mint Network when I bought my mint service at Best Buy I was told to go online as they did not have any of these phones in the store. We struggled to get the phone connected to the network only to find two weeks later that the phone is not compatible with their Network. I requested to return my phone and the request was denied stuck with the phone that doesn't work.

It serves it's purpose. It's a great, dumb phone. One complaint, sometimes it won't download MMS messages, which can be kind of annoying.

    Disappointing

Not happy with the quality. Probably what you should expect from a $40 phone. wifi never works of course. Bluetooth never works. non-intuitive interface. It is much cheaper/worse compared to the old 2000s Nokia that I used before this. Lots of problems with the text threads, messages will arrive with wrong timestamps in wrong places. At least it has 4g, but I would be happier investing into a better 4g nokia brick phone if they exist.

Gets the job done, but barely.

This phone is a piece of crap, nothing compared to the classic Nokias. Flimsy and the sound quality is terrible. I expected everything else to be terrible, like the camera, UI, etc, so all that doesn't bother me. But I do need to be able to hear the person I am calling more than 40% of the time. At least it holds a charge well.

The price was right for a simple unlocked phone that I can use with Tracphone and AT&T as the carrier. The question that I submitted was answered quickly assuring me that the phone would meet my needs.

    Good phone that looks awful

I love low tech devices and have many. This device was to replace my 3310 that can't be used anymore because 3G. The 225 fell flat. The kids and I laughed hysterically at it when it showed up. The picture is slightly flattering but in person it looks straight old fashioned. The shape is too boxy and its unergonomic. The number pad buttons bleed together and at this size that not a good look. Need separate keys! In my opinion too many games and apps preloaded. The flashlight is handy and the software is ok. Nothing wrong from a function standpoint. Text messages are grouped poorly when you get a lot of them. Camera is terrible and that's ok on this phone. It's only if you desperately need a camera. Nokia please put these internals in a different case!!!!
