I got overwhelmed owning a smartphone. The overabundance of push notifications, social media, etc.
This is the little feature phone that could. Using the application store it has, you can still enjoy select features that are smartphone-exclusive. For example, you can download an application that will allow you to check and write email. The only catch is it limits the character count on certain emails, or how much you can type. Replys appear to have no character limit.
The alarm works even when you turn off the device, assuming the battery still has a charge. A wonderful alarm to have to ensure you do not miss out on work.
You can also download an app called "Mocha Radio" and put your cellular data to use by streaming internet radio stations you normally cannot pick up on its included FM radio. This brought joy to me as I didn't expect to get my favorite radio stations far from where I live on this device. Note that this particular app only works with headphone audio or the speakerphone; it will not play through bluetooth. Also if phone is on silent sound will not play as well.
It also features a calculator and flashlight toggle.
Downsides: like all feature phones, the camera is not the best. microSD card size is limited to 32GB; anything larger will not be recognized by this device. You can't change the font size of the menus, so if it's too small, you're out of luck.
The battery life isn't like the good ol' days of feature phone ownership. You can get 2-3 days with light to moderate use if you're lucky.
There are also some bugs. If receiving a text and typing with a T9 keyboard, it will break your typing and suggest different words than what you desired whilst typing.
On the web browser and email application, spacing for the letter J is off. You will see a space displayed in front of the letter even though the actual text isn't spaced.
Also, the reception is weaker on this with T-Mobile as it isn't compatible with their latest LTE networks. 3G is serviceable, and I personally do not mind going without service sometimes.
For the alarm: Setting your phone to "beep" sound setting (which should actually be labeled vibrate) will also affect your alarm settings. Your alarm will only vibrate! Useless for a heavy sleeper, so ensure to set your ringer setting to silent or with volume to ensure your alarm still works as intended before hitting the hay.
I hope Nokia releases the LTE version of this device. When and if they do, I will definitely upgrade to that. This phone is helping me live in the moment and not be a smartphone zombie; a behavior I've noticed as I am no longer one of them.

I wanted a smartphone alternative, and this was it. It is reliable, good battery life. The phone has an irritating lock screen that seems to activate at random times. If you need to do anything else but make phone calls and text, this is not the phone for you. If you want an affordable communication device...this is a good option. Side note I bought a SIM card from T-mobile and use the pay as you go option so this phone costs me 3 dollars a month.

This is a cellphone for those who do not like or need an smartphone. I got this for my mother in law which is very old school and not a tech lover. She enjoys the phone so much and people always compliment her phone without knowing that this is a relaunch series of the original .!

I have this phone as both. backup as well as long weekend or even full day events. I love texting so this phone does take a little longer to get out a text but now by much. I still remember the T9 well. my biggest fight with this phone is that formatting an SD card was a disaster. I am not sure if it was the card or the phone but either way I need to get a new one. aside from that this phone is lovely and great fro a backup or even a long weekend getaway. the battery really is just like I remember. for the price its also not bad.

Not a smartphone. A true dumb phone. No WiFi just talk and text. Text is alphanumeric. Perfect for my young kids to have for an emergency. Won’t get in trouble at school for cell phone usage.

Picked this up for the kids first phone. Nice and simple, just like they used to be. He hardly puts it down and still has probably 80% battery left at the end of the day! I miss those times! Haha
Perfect starter phone or just a no fuss extra phone.

The phone is great looking but I have problems with multi use button which controls the phone. To put it another way,It is a smart phone without a touch screen.Very hard to navigate. On the good side the FM radio is fantastic.I bought it because of previous Nokia phone I had that was great.

Love this reincarnation of a classic Nokia phone, great battery life and the basic features you need to keep in touch. I recall the original from back in the day and this holds true to that albeit in a much smaller footprint.
I got this for my son to have in his school bag in case we need to get in touch and for him to be able to reach us, the long battery life and basic feature set is ideal for him, not need to spend $$$$ on the latest smartphones when this will do the job.
Can also be good as a second phone for those long trips when you need to be without a charger for long periods,

I needed to replace my previous flip phone and didn’t have a lot of options, but this one works. It can’t send or receive pictures like a flip phone, which is disappointing, but it texts and calls and that’s really all I need it to do. I chose a clean simple grey but it comes in fun colors too if you want to get something easy to spot.

Perfect phone to fit in your pocket. My last Nokia lasted for years, through drops, falling in the pool and everything else. One day I was working on my car and rolled perfectly so my hip cracked the screen, at the time they didn't have bar phones, so had to switch to a flip to get something small. Finally Nokia came out with the 3310 with a decent camera (old ones didn't have a camera, so nice upgrade). So if you mostly use a phone as a phone, this is perfect.

I actually have owned two model 3310 phones for over two years. I only talk and do not use text therefore it meets my needs. The only part that annoys me is having to go through so many steps to change the volume settings. (i.e. from vibrate to audible) which I do almost daily between home and work environments.

Was looking for a simple bar phone in a age of overwhelming amount of smartphone and smart watches finding something that just fits in your pocket in a small compact size that just takes call and text is hard to find. Nokia 3310 is great to see in 2018 where every one is connected and yet is not. Great phone! LOVE FOR NOKIA!!

I use this on T-Mobile and it gets amazing reception. I get coverage in areas that I don't get with my iPhone X. While it pulls fewer bands the antennas on basic phones are just better. It does have room for improvement. T-Mobile offers free streaming of music, it would be awesome to see Pandora put an app out for these types of phones so you can still utilize a data plan. The music player is kind of a pain, hard to organize music on here. I finally got an album to show as an album and all the tracts went by alphabet vs track. I am sure there are ways to get the names of the files coded right, but it should just be easier to do. I am excited to see the new "Matrix" phone as it seems to have more potential to bridge the gap between smart phones and basic phones.
