Cannot find saved file after hours of data input

I spent hours typing the information and saved under Documents.
Strange thing, after completing every session, pressed Next and noticed was adding same information. It did start over without any warning.
Two days later cannot find the file.
FAQ instructed Windows search for pfl extension but nothing.
If I had not saved, it should warn file was unsaved.
Very very disappointing
